I completely agree with your idea for age. Siege doesn't have the resources like CoD to pump out 2 minute cinematic trailers every 2 months like they did with Warzone 1. Plus, I think keeping everything connected with shorter time gaps helps new people understand the lore because you can just explain the order of events without having to throw a decade's worth of dates in. I still would love to see more "old" operator skins, though. My favorite idea is a re-color of Thatcher's elite to be all worn and torn, with that old school navy blue color, and an 80s era gas mask that's cracked, dusty, and/or faded.
2:41, what also doesnt make sense is that since Ash was born in 1990, and Operation Orchad (an operation she took part of, and as her bio states was an "invaluable asset") took part in 2007, would that make her 17? 17 years old in the Shaldag Special Forces???, and not mention the fact that the Shaldag Operators undergo a 2 year and 8 month long training phase, so you are telling me, Ash joined the special forces as a recruit at 15?? yeah, something just doesnt add up. Idk, ubi should have just aged her up imo, cause they have created a lot of inconsistencies.
for siege mailbox currently the laser sight is the only under barrel attachment and i believe there should be more such as spare mag that reduces reload speed and a flashlight that highlights enemies when in your field of view additionally they could add a bipod that narrows the hip fire spread (similar to the old laser sight)
Wouldn't be surprised if things happened within a short timespan in the Siege universe. The Division games have always taken place within a very short time span, with Division 2 to date canonically only spanning a few months.
The problem is that in The Division the story is told all at once, so the issue of real time and in-game time is not that considerable, but as Rainbow Six tells the story in parts in each update, it means that technically 10 years have passed since start of the rainbow team or not, as the chronology is confusing and it seems like not even the writers know for sure
@@HELLHOUND_GARAGEto add in Ghost Recon Breakpoint takes place in 2025 and both Ash and Sam Fisher are in crossover stories that are supposed to be in the same world as Siege so we're going to need that addressed soon.
I’ve always said this, and another piece of evidence of this, is that in the Twin Shells comic, Deimos says at the end “we’ll find out tommorow, won’t we?” in reference to the intel Skopós and Dokkaebi found. It’s now been a full season further and we still have no comic/cinematic/animation for this, meaning within 5-6 real months, 1 day will have passed in the lore, with the next story being about Deimos’ escape 1 day later (which has been leaked for the next event).
My theory is that everything was the date it released (Rainbow was reactivated in 2015, the game released in 2015), until the year 8 cinematic happened, then from there it slowed down drastically.
To me that makes the most sense unless they retcon the date of 2015 to the 2020s, Clancy games have been set years in the future before. R6 Vegas 1 and 2 were set in 2010 despite coming out around 2007/8 I believe
@@unclelandy I mainly had this theory because I think the S.I. (In the universe) is the only way of having a true measurement of the time line, since the S.I. was a yearly event, an argument could be made that before the first S.I. and after the Last one the time line is slow and not lined up with the release date of seasons and stuff
@@unclelandy biggest example is Ghost Recon Breakpoint taking place this year (2025) yet released in 2019 with whole crossovers with Sam Fisher and Rainbow so that's going to need to be addressed eventually.
This wouldn’t be too odd and I wish I thought of this sooner. It wouldn’t be the first time R6 games would be set years after their release. R6 Vegas 1 and 2 were set in 2010 despite coming out sooner than 2010. If they retconned Rainbow’s reactivation to 2018, 2019, or the 2020s (most likely pre-2019 because of Ghost Recon Wildlands) then it would not only lessen the aging problem but like you mentioned, the span of months would make it make better sense. I could easily see the game after siege retconning the 2015 date easily with this perspective.
A couple of notes: S.I confirms some of the years of events. You mentioned “the Deimos events could have happened at any time”, however he shot Harry and Harry was around during “S.I 2021” and the rest of them. Another thing I’ve noticed is the timeline of operators joining doesn’t make sense. They talk about recruiting operators as and when they join, but, for example, in GR wildlands, Cav is said to have taken part in Operation Patriots- which took place long before she supposedly joined Rainbow, which doesn’t make sense.
I'd much rather they try a jab at R6:Patriots again instead of making more Operators for siege. Been too long since Siege had any relevant story piece.
I think I prefer operators to just age in real time and have the lore to reflect that. I think it's more preferable to have operators, as they age, to in the lore take on more leadership roles and have their careers progress. If they are adding new ops every year for 10-15 years, even just 2 ops a year, that's 20-30 new ops, that's plenty of operators who can act as the more active "Young blood" in the organization. I think having the older ops that get older to the point they would normally retire, have them take leadership and operation roles like they did for Sam fisher. Of course, having them pop back in to show they can still kick ass like Sam fighting Deimos would always be welcome. I don't see an issue with them aging.
Talked with my Team about this recently and heard an interesting alternative approach, which would be to disconnect certain aspects of lore and actual Gameplay. Lets say Sam Fisher turns 80 in game. On the Lore side of Siege, they could retire and honourably discharge him. On the Gameplay site, they could give him a celebratory retirement-Skin, but he still would be a playable OP in the game. This would also open an opportunity to give new meaning to skins, which have been pretty shite lately. There is so much potential with retirement skins or squad-themed cosmetics for every Rainbow Squad... Very excited for what they got prepped for Y10, cant wait for Invitational.
And its making it easier as well since the 2023 Breakpoint taking place in weird timeline as what happen to the private sector and rainbow as well It helped now.
Because it's a game can't you just developed a social call technology in the game to reverse agency don't actually physically agent your data birth and your numb So all you need to put is a date of birth so that if the number goes up it doesn't really matter there's no number they can age without physically agent
So if now siege doesn't go with our time in real life, do you still think that Nomad from Ghost Recon will come to rainbow? Or do you think there's still a chance that he might come as a new operator?
Ash’s whole timeline doesn’t make any sense anyway. Like, disclaimer, Ash is my favourite character so I am obsessed with her lore but.. she simply doesn’t have enough years to have done what her bio says she has done.
I have a pretty big question about the lore. Maybe I'm just missing something but Why do so many operators have night haven gear while not being on the side of night haven Like look at twitch for example She had an intire night haven set while being in wolf gaurd
A lot of operators defected to Nighthaven I think sometime after the 2022 Invitational (see "Sisters in Arms" cinematic and the Crystal Guard animation trailer). The operators that joined include Smoke, Pulse, Ela, Finka, and IQ. As for why, I have no idea. Someone else could probably answer that. Gameplay wise, the defectors were likely meant to fill in the squad members of Nighthaven so that they could have, more or less, the same number of operators of the other squads, namely Redhammer, Viperstrike, Wolfguard, Ghost Eyes. Edit: as for Twitch, she was part of Team Kali during the 2022 Invitational along with the aforementioned others above plus Blitz and Echo. They were given the same offer as the others but refused. They also tried recruiting Fuze during the 2021(I think?) Invitational during a joint training exercise in case he wanted to retire from the Spetsnaz.
Nothing to do with the video but with Sam being 63 and Morris being a whole 12 years younger at 51. Sam is looking good like how the hell is a 63 yr old a three speed in game and do shit like hang from the ceiling and put up a fight against Deimos is crazy. I've got to know his secret.

nice thoughts, but do you really have to repeat the same ideas about "for 1 irl year siege's timeline would progress for couple of months" or that "removal of Ash's bday gives an artistic freedom for writers" or "the ops aging problem" 3 times just to make video go for that 10+ min mark? come on bro, pack it denser
