As a mobile dj I am always looking for something to add to my show. I had seen these on a pop-up add and thought for 50US during a FLASH sale that I needed to try them. Here is what I found! :)
You can check the current price HERE! I have seen them under $50 in the US.

Thank you for all of your videos. I think you have the best vids and easiest to understand. I have a China version of this board and the exact same light (among so many others). You've been a great help. I think I'm sticking with the Venue Tetra Control though since I'm a bass player and really just want an easy way to run lights while I'm playing.
Thank you so much for this. I'll try it out on my Razor Beams :)
Let me know if it helps you out. Also... what are Razor Beams?
@@KrisSzanto These moving heads by Equinox. I love them even though they don't have show mode ua-cam.com/video/NK9CoAjNgdY/v-deo.html
Thank you brother for that knowledge
Thanks for watching. Hope u found it helpful.
a million thanks!
DJ Kris I just found your channel. You have some good info on your channel. I have that Obey 10 controller as well, but I never knew how to program it until I found your channel. By the was what model and year Van do you have? I like the size of it and how did you get your Logo put onto your Van?
Very happy u got some useful info! The van is a Nissan NV200. 8 think mine is a 2014. They are great! The wrap was done by a company in Philly but there are many around. Had it designed by a guy on Miami... sent up specs and was ready to print. :) email me if you want more info. Kris@bydesigndj.com
THANK YOU BRO
Thanks for watching. Hope it helped a bit.
Thank you sir
Hope you got something out of it. Stay healthy.
Do you use this light with a software such as Martin Mpc or lightkey? if so what dmx profile did you use.
I use a program called eclipse from Blizzard Lighting. I believe it is similar to lightcaster. I created the profile in the software as it was listed in the manual. It is easy. Just try to find a tutorial o UA-cam for your software. Always happy to show how to do it on mine.
Hi my question is did you turn the sound off before you plug the cable in or keep the sound on to plug the cable in on the moving head?
That does not matter. Set the light address, press enter and leave the light alone.
@@KrisSzanto Ok I'll figure it out. I may need another dmx cable to plug the wash light and moving head to see if that will get the moving head to work on dmx512.
I'm sorry about it lol
Reach out tomorrow via Facebook or Instagram @bydesigndj and we will set up a phone call and I will walk you through it.
Thank you for this. I’m struggling with my 4 new mini led moving heads and my controller that’s similar to the one in your video. If all lights are channel 1 they work fine with the controller but when I rename them to their individual dmx channels I can’t get them to work with the controller. Do you have any tips please? Cheers
How many channels are on your lighting controller. If your controller has 16 Channels like the one in the video your 2nd fixture would have to be addeessed to channel 17.
@@KrisSzanto they run on 9 or 12
@@DisneyMarkUK is it a 16 Channel controller? Your first light is set to dmx 001? Watch the video at about the 3 minute mark, i think this will solve your problem.
@@KrisSzanto yes that’s correct. I’ll watch it again thank you :)
@@KrisSzanto I’ve watched it again and that’s what I’ve been doing. I’m stumped now. Hmmmmm
I think I know you from Demarest summer camp in Bloomfield!! You were doing the DJ. And I read your bio and you are at New Jersey. Were you the guy at Demarest school in Bloomfield playing the DJ?
Thanks for checking out the channel. I have never been to Demarest. Must be an impostor. 🤔 lol
DJ Kris Szanto lol you look very familiar!
Great Channel, but this is waaaaaay to much work. Light Rider is the way to go.
I haven't heard alot about that system but I think it has its limitations. Everyone likes the simplicity of it but if I am correct it would be hard to add your own light profiles from no name brands and for me I dont know that it allows me to take one light... like a moving head spotlight and direct it to a particular point and point one to a totally different point. If it does please let me know, always like to learn. Also I do not use the old controller, but dmx software and have built many programs and chases over time that allows for good shows. I also can strobe all my lights with a touch of a button and trigger independent lights, groups and more. Thanks for checking out the channel and I will definitely look into the aforementioned software. 👍🍻🤘
Chris, it has about 15k fixtures loaded in. It does have the Lixada movers listed as well as a bunch from the Tom Shine brand. If you are currently using software, you more than likely will have more control than what Light Rider provides but I believe it's worth your time to look into it. Great way to control lights without building scenes, and a TON of programming.
