If you polish up the faces of the hammers, that helps to improve the surface finish on the part, as any imperfections on the hammer faces transfer to the work. Very well done on this D panel. Will you be re-uploading the Mk2 GT6 videos at some point?
I never use my planishing hammers for anything other than for planishing therefore I don't get any nasty marks on them . Good tip though well worth mentioning thanks. Yes, I will be doing the MK2 GT6 videos soon
great skill Peter , didn't think it was possible to create this D plate at home
You would be surprised at what you could create at home. Specially if you have the knowledge. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great stuff as usual Peter. .......l'm a bit deaf Peter it was puckers wasn't it ? 🤭🤭🤣
Yes, it was puckers spelt with a P and not with an F.
An easy mistake to make if you're a bit deaf like myself.
Nicely done.
Thank you! Cheers!
If you don't have a high crown hammer, you can use wood such as a dowel, forming the end into a dome shape, you may have to refresh it a few times.
Or you could just use a ball hammer, thanks for watching and commenting.
💡cut the end off the broom handle 😉
