Harley sportster 1200C with new cycle shack slip ons

Sportsters rule. I just traded my overly heavy road Kong on my 4th sportster, a forty eight. Love it. Had cycle shack drags on my first 883, best value around...haters remember ,Evil K did almost all his jumps on an Dr, power+low weight= fast as hell!

Great sounding bike. I put a set on my 2013 after researching all the different mufflers and kept reading reviews about people loving the sound. Once I fired mine up with them on I knew what those people had heard too, nothing beats the old school harley sound and honestly they are well made mufflers I think there are a lot of people who won't accept something to be better unless it costs more?... Save your pennies and get the cycle shacks you won't regret it!

I've been riding Touring bikes all my life...but now that I'm not touring any longer I traded my 2001 Ultra Classic for an xl1200 c and am LOVING it... and I'm NOT a girl, contrary to what paintherwhite says.... Sportsters are kick-ass bikes for both men and women... in other words, they are great bikes for any rider! It took a while to get used to such a small (relatively speaking) bike after riding nothing but Harley touring bikes for the past 30 years...but I absolutely LOVE the bike.

I did not buy a Sportster because I liked it so much more than other bikes. I bought it purely because it is in my price range for now. Unfortunately not everyone has the money to buy "big boy" bikes like "paint her white." BTW, where I live I see more chicks riding Softails than I do Sportsters. Uh oh, now I guess Softails are only for girls too........ :(

It's funny how everyone one on the big harley bikes look down on sportsters until you ask them to put there up against a sportster in a stop light race and they won't do it. Other then the v-rod the sportster 1200 is the faster bike harley davidson makes and the engine and transmission is built better then the twin cam stuff that is out now.

I agree Jacob, I got buddys that will talk crap all day about my "chicks bike" UNTIL I ask them to race......Then they dont say a word :)

@candlestick60: the 06 Sportster was the last year for the carb'd motor. You will probably have to remap the FI on your 07. I did no other mods as of yet, but will probably do a new air intake next spring. My bike sometimes has a small "hiccup" a low RPMs, but it did that with stock pipes, so its probably running lean. other than that it runs great, and they are LOUD! Everyone will hear ya coming with these. I think a better value, and sound compared to the SE. VH are great, but cost way more.

My 2006 is has a small hiccup at low rpm also...all stock except pipes...you ever get the hiccup out yours???

Did you lower the Idle speed? It sounds a little slow.
