    I'm 3 yrs late..but I decided to take on the above ground swimming pool hobbie the end of July. Today I finally got the pool up. I've been working every single day in the Central Texas heat. I've given up four times. I'm a 60 yr old GiGi. I had no clue how much work this was gonna be!!! Grass dug out about three inches down. Finally found a company to deliver sand. I think my circle is level. Now I need to put my ladder and sand pump filter together. Then water. Yay!! Can't believe I made it!! I said all that to say thank you sir for your great videos. Today I will be learning what chemicals I will need.

    You are the best teacher on almost any subject. Your videos really motivate me. I built my pool myself and learned how to do it watching you. I got my ground plowed and I did it all myself. Dug it all up and leveled the land. I had to work hard cuz my yard is sloped. Now the pool is up and it’s balanced and level. Next project is learning about the chemicals. Then I gotta build a deck, just like yours. Thank you and God bless you. You are so kind to share this wisdom.

      Hello Ivanna, Thanks for dropping in and commenting. I have 3 videos coming up very soon of me opening my pool this year after being closed for 6 months. The trick to pools is to never leave anything in the pool and keep it clean at all times. It is a chore, but it will pay off by not having to buy so many chemicals.

    This video has been an absolute miracle for me! I’m married to a modern day Clark Griswold who randomly bought a pool the last week of April for our kids to enjoy this summer. He put it together & filled it up with ZERO chemicals.🤦🏻‍♀️😂 Needless to say I found your video while searching for what the heck to do with this darn pool before it gets nasty.🤢 This video saved my sanity & my husbands ears from hearing anymore of my griping lmao!🤣🤣

    Finally, a simple and straight forward explanation of how to do these pools. We've had 4 of the small intex ones with the inflatable ring and I never get the balance right and end up tearing it down because its so nasty and not worth saving. Just put up a 17x52 and I am not doing that this time. I do have a sand filter pump and am hoping with your instructions I can keep this one clean and clear.

      If you plan on getting a polaris65 vacuum and a skimmer don't go less than the Sand Pro 75D. andy thing any smaller will not pump the water needed the run the skimmer and the polaris65.

    On the hth shock that says it treats 12,000 gallons, it doesn’t. We have the Coleman 22 foot pool. And I had to start putting 2 bags of shock every time I shock. The tablets, we run 2 chlorine floaters, and I put 4 tablets in each floater. I’ll be switching to a chlorine feeder soon tho. Our kids throw the floaters out of the pool. We get rain fir days here. Our pool holds about 12,000 gallons. When we get sun it’s like for 4 days then rain for the next week.

      Your correct, when the manufactures label things they label them for the perfect situations which is a pool that is already clean and the water testing good. Also manufactures are scared to say you can use more due to being afraid of lawsuits if someone has health issues or pool damage. That's what I believe for everything nowadays not just pool related.

      @magical.melody674 3 роки тому

      @@papawsplace very true. I got caught last summer with green water a couple times believing I could just use one bag. I always think they put things on the label for a selling point.
