I now realize Arnold and the actors are doing a superb job. It's the writers who are screwing up these movies.
That has always been the case!
It really needs a dedicated writer with a love for the Original films to bring a new movie to the franchise.
It also requires SUBTLE political statements (if any) and no s**tting on the old movies/fans in 5 minutes.
Dark fate actually could have been an awesome movie IF they didn't make the political messages as overt as they did. That (in my view) was one of the biggest problems.
The second biggest problem is the fact that JC died within the first 5 minutes.
So much more could have been done with him AND STILL they could've given the other girl the series but they wanted to (according to miller) "move away from the chosen one plot". So what did he do. Create a movie that moves away from that by creating... A chosen one plot.
And anyone who says "the point is that anyone could take the mantle" is beyond foolish. OTHERWISE there is no need for the movie to be made BECAUSE no matter what happens the terminators will always be defeated. Therefore, they will just keep sending machines back in time and the loop never ends. It just doesn't work.

They need to focus on just making a good movie instead of pushing a political agenda.

..but the detail that won me is the use of 2 hand weapons as basically one handed in the police station shooting..
Terminator 1 is far superior because it was filmed naturaly without all that bullcrap we have today and lazy CGI effects .
The Arnie as the cyborg in Terminator 1 was more menacing and intimading kinda to the slasher movies from the late 70's & early 80's offered . Kinda what ruined in Terminator 2 his character was kid friendly even though he played the "good robot" but T2 was way too much focused on be an action movie with sci-fi elements rather than stay like Terminator 1 was with being a dark claustrophobic, slasher, thriller .
Similar happens with another franchise "Alien" the first movie was excellent and brilliant , the second movie still good but was also more focused on the action rather than being sci-fi, dark , claustrophobic .
Arnold really nailed the machine in terminator one in part due to his limited English. He really sounded like a machine, and his acting skills are very robotic as well. Probably more than he even intended to be

i got to work on set as a contractor ...many of the actor/tress earned my respect. turning it on and off in the blink of an eye. many wanted to see the shot and the daily performs. In a few cases I was able to be a practice dumbie i got yelled at, stood there for threats from a character that was interesting ...they can be convincing! lol heard lines over and again and again.
I could listen to Arnold talk about training and bodybuilding all day.
This is a team hardwork, love this movie, Arnold you are awesome, and cute Sara Connor

....this is almost as good as watching the movie its self. Seeing that most of the scenes like on the bus or helicopter or police car are not in fact on the streets at all and not even real vehicles too. All done in studio, feels weird to see this.
