    Thank you, Shiva! I just became aware of this updated 2.0 version of the fullshade system last week and installed this one myself on Thursday. I had some problems getting the front clips in the front headliner, but eventually prevailed. Worth noting, the price from Otrifowd (not sure if your discount affects this or not) is down to $249 from $499 and the side panels are thinner, taking up less glass space than the original version. i also didn't feel the need to remove both screws on the pivoting tabs. I simply removed the outermost screws, pivoted the tabs and reinserted the removed screw in its new position. Agree that the gloves are not great for working the screwdriver! LOL. I am really happy with this product and can see why you're leaving it in place in your own vehicle. Cheers.

    Maybe if I leave you a comment I can get some fix. I have these for my model 3. The front one is solid no real issues except if I hit bumps it can make some noise. The rear shade is a problem child. The clip you install at 12:04 comes loose and 1/2 the shade drops down while your driving. They need a more secure clip or a better way to attach the rear.

    Great video of the installation process. Looks like a great product. It might be a little expensive for me, comparing the other "SunBlockers" out there. BUT..this one is more convent then some of the others. As for keeping Temps down, I don't see these Shades having a reflective shield on the outside. Or did I miss that?😀😀😀😀😀

    I have now had these shades installed for a month and ran into a few issues that I thought would be helpful for past/future buyers.
    1. For the back shade, the hooks on the side are leveraged in such a way where it creates an inward sag (backmost part of the shade). After a month, the cloth frame began to detach from the rail. To fix this, I put stronger adhesive bw the track and frame and clamped them together to get a stronger bond. So far, after a week, the problem is still solved.
    2. There are only two clips on the front of the front sunshade and they are put to the outmost position (left and right). Mine has a sag towards the middle and that is because there is no support in the center. I wish it came with three clips to add some stability. Anyone else had this same issue and have a solution?

  • @adamtm82

      I felt the same way, but here's the rub... This 2.0 version reclaims more of the glass space that was lost in the original version. Also, once installed, it is as easy or perhaps even easier to remove and replace as the fixed shades you are using now. But you won't want to, since you can just flick back the shade whenever you want to admire the clouds. I found that with the basic shades, they were such a PIA to try and fold back up and store, that I never removed them at all, blocking my view through the roof glass permanently.

    Really nice video.
    I'm really not a big fan of all the glass in my M3, which causes the acoustics inside the car to be pretty bad, since all the extra glass reflects all sounds and noises, since it will bounce back and forth inside the car when hitting the class.
    Does this sunshade have a positive affect on the acoustics inside the car, since these surfaces shouldn't reflect sound as much as glass does?
    So basically my question is, can you hear any differences on the acoustics inside the car after installing the sunshades?

    • @phandean
      @phandean Рік тому

      It doesn't reduce noise or cool your car down although it looks cooler. Save money for ceramic tint would be a better solution. Tint does not reduce helps your car absorb heat slower so that your AC won't run more often.

      @@ShivaSapkota can’t wait to see the video! I have a cheap $50 or so top glass cover for my MY (has a black mesh shade with a silver reflective shade on top) and it works ok. Reduces the internal temperature of my car by 2-5 degrees, depending on how hot the day is (the temp that shows in the Climate section of the mobile app).

    One problem with most non OEMs solutions is that the glass gets extra heat. Ideally the sun should be reflected back out like with a mirror. Heat effects the rubber seals and glues used by the OEMs. In most western climates this is theoretical.
