    Great explanation I'm one that second guesses myself and maybe over analyze don't want mistakes and I have been studying this because I have a 93 Chevy extended I have been going through but anyway great job your very much appreciated 🙏👍 thank you ✌️💯

    Great diagram and information.
    Im having starting issues.
    When trying to start the engine, the engine will start for about 1 and a half seconds, then die.
    Most times, the engine starts and runs fine.
    Intermittent problems suck..... you aren't sure if you fixed the problem.
    The truck runs fine, but has this occasional starting problem. Its happening more frequently now.
    When its running fine, i can run it steady to 4000 rpm while driving, indicating no fuel pump or filter problems.
    I just pulled the fuel pump relay and the terminal with the gray wire is not shiny at all. The entire terminal has a grayish green tint. The other 3 contacts are fine.
    Im hoping that cleaning this terminal cures my problem.

    THANKS SO MUCH... been battling a warm start problem for YEARS now. Turns out it was the oil sending unit by the oil
    filter. Great diagram and explanation of the system.

    Hola I have a 1993 Chevy s10 2.8 I want to put a kill
    Switch connecting with the fuel pump which wire would I splice? The grey one or Orange one

    My 1990 is doing this exact thing except for my pressure switch is good and the relay is good. I also have 12v at the pump prime test wire (mine is gray) with a test light. I turned the key, and it lit up for approximately 2 sec. The fuel pump is also new. Relay clicks. No prime. I changed the fuel pump because it was dead. I drove the truck for one day, and it never would prime and pump after that.

      Here is the thing went you work in fuel pump don’t use a test light because you don’t know actual voltage going to the pump! I have similar problem with a relay was clicking and turning the test light on but wasn’t sending good voltage to the fuel pump! Brand new fuel pump , brand new fuel tank , brand new relay from Advance Auto Part’s ! Turn out to be the brand new fuel pump relay was bad ,so I went to the GM dealer and buy a new fuel pump relay and that fix the problem…

      @PeteSambolin Yeah I thought about checking the actual voltage. I borrowed a meter and checked it. So I ended up taking the pump back out to inspect it, and the two wire plug to the pump motor was corroded. I cleaned it up and it started working. Thanks for your help and the good videos!!! Love an S-Chassis

    I'm pretty sure the resistor is to keep the relay from throwing open and closed real fast. Like chatter.

    Tenemos una troka q era de mi Padre q queremos echar a andar y tiene El MISMO problema pero la diferencia es que ni la Bomba trabaja cres q Tenga relacion con El sensor del aseite?

    Hola, probé el reléy aparte. Es decir lo saqué del carro. Le puse negativo en el ground y positivo en el verde. El rele hace click,. A su vez del negativo conecté un bombillo en serie con el cable gris (que va a la bomba.) Debería tener 12 V en el gris, pero no lo hay. Quiere decir q el reley esta malo verdad?

    I have an 1989 s10 blazer 4.3 . I swapped a sbc. I want to know which wires need to be connected so I can run the fuel pump all the time with the key on

      Marvy Marv Hi 👋 by the Relay is a single wire with a connector is a gray wire or orange wire they call that the fuel pump prime wire! By supplying 12 volts to that single wire connector the fuel pump motor should run...

      Hey again . Okay got the pump to prime when I want to , I connected the the orange to a 12v and you can see gas shooting up..... instead of priming I just want the fuel pump to run when I have the truck running! What wires should I connect?!?... again this is a 1989 s10 blazer that had a 4.3 but now a sbc 5.7... and yes I did remove the computer!

      Marvy Marv well the same ORG wire run directly to the fuel pump so that’s is way you can prime from that ORG wire!

      I get what your saying about priming (connect orange wife to 12v source)..... but I want the fuel pump to run only when the car is the on and running position... should I connect the grey wire from the fuel pump to key on 12v source or ??!?!!!?.. again I don’t want prime (if I have prime on all the time it will shoot gas out of my carburetor... I just want the pump to run not the prime.

      Marvy Marv Yes! Well that’s is way is a relay and computer control for this circuit! And if you want to do a bypass you going too run wires with a 25 amp fuse and a ON and OFF switch inside the car!

    Great. I did this.. I disconect the relay from the s10's wiring. So I conect pins A an C to positive and negative, the click sounds but i dont have anu voltage from pin gray. Is exactly the same you tall about but without doing it with the key on. Is the relay defective right?

    Hello I need help. I just replaced the fuel pump in my 91 s10 blazer. I have the new pum plugged into the harness but the are two more wires coming from sending unit with a metal loop. Is that a ground? Do I just connect to frame. Not sure what to do. Please help

    Hola es solo una opinion,yo se que hablas español,porque no subes los videos en español? serian de mucha ayuda ala comunidad de habla hispana,en inglés ya hay demasiados videos nada mas que muchos no hablamos ingles,y tu sabes UA-cam se mira mucho en latinoamerica.gracias.

Ya de México me escriben y si me escribió en español... los vídeos qué ya e grabado en inglés qué están en parte 1, parte 2, y le falta otra parte tendré qué grabar en el mismo idioma!       Aldo Jesus Pues si es 1991 Chevrolet S-10 y si tiene Aire Acondicionado tiene dos Relay al lado de la bomba hidráulica de frenos en el compartimento del motor en el lado del chofer!
