I can understand what you said about seOul drift. I think it is a choice that goes well with the concept, which focuses on the overwhelming glamour of a modern city, as well as the darkness behind it (as said in the description under the MV). Many people find it hard to connect to this type of big city environment, like how many people's gut reaction to the song. I like OnlyOneOf's experimentation with different concepts and styles.
ATBO from survival show called 'The Origin A B or what?' created by their own company IST entertainment that have Apink, Victon, Weeekly and The Boyz. One of the member is former YG treasurebox trainee Kim Yeonkyu, 2 members is former SM trainee.
Seoul Drift was an instant like for me, but I get the not quite sure feeling. It's definitely got their splash of unique. Blitzers only got on my radar from Peak Time, I saw them there and then got the suggested MV in the sidebar, and I am obsessed with it. No matter how long or short my car journey I need to play it and TNX - Kick It 4 Now at least once. I've sat outside my house to let them finish more than a few times, because it's a crime to pause halfway through. I feel like they both have that same nostalgic sound, while still being new. I hadn't actually heard these from AB6IX or ATBO, but I like 'em both, so thank you for bringing them to my attention.
ATBO is the final 7 members of the survival show The Origin - A, B, Or What? under IST Entertainment. The group consists of Oh Junseok, Ryu Junmin, Bae Hyunjun, Seok Rakwon, Jeong Seunghwan, Kim Yeonkyu, and Won Bin. They debuted on July 27, 2022
You are not the only one that caught BlockB vibes from Macarena! It's the loosey-goosey charisma combined with the rule-of-fun MV. I love that from Blitzers!!
ATBO has such an amazing discography! i personally prefer their title track "Attitude", since their debut wasn't really my style (the song really grew on me tho). but yeah, their mini albums kinda hit
Onlyoneof are my ult group (along with mamamoo), and I completely agree about Seoul drift, it's just a bit boring tbh. Ik you're not doing an album listen, but in your own time I'd recommend blueblueseoul (which I think was originally meant to be the title track), it's a lot more interesting to listen to.
OnlyOneOf are my ults too, and yeah, I didn’t connect with seOul drift or skinz. It’s totally fine to not like some songs from your ults. ChrOme arts (the Japanese one) was fire though!
I've really enjoyed watching your OnlyOneOf journey. I appreciate the respect and honesty you express when reacting to them. I struggled with the same thing with this song when it first dropped. My initial reaction to it was actually a rather intense dislike. A couple of things kept me coming back to it though. 1-The phone booth was there which implies this is a continuation of the BE series. Dissecting the storylines from that series is very much my idea of a good time. 2- The MV description. The description reminded me of just how concept driven this group is. Everything has such a distinct purpose. One of their strongest assets as a group is their ability to create an atmosphere that completely embodies whatever concept they're going for. This song, once I started paying attention to all of the elements, is no different. The harshness of the instrumentals mimics the harshness of an environment that rejects anyone different. A wall of noise designed to throw you off your path. I won't go into my full analysis of the creative elements of the MV and song because this comment is already way too long, but I do want to mention the lyrics. The queer coding in the lyrics of this song is incredible. My brain now registers this song as a Queer Anthem. As someone who grew up in a town that was incredibly homophobic, the absolute resolution and determination to pursue your own path and create your own light despite your environment, as expressed in these lyrics, really resonates with me. My respect and appreciation for this group only grows with every comeback. All of that being said, this is still not my favorite sound from them. I respect it, I'm impressed by it, and I'm incredibly grateful for it, but they have a plethora of other songs I gravitate towards much more frequently. I'm not sure what you've reacted to on your Patreon, but if you're interested in reacting to more from them I would like to recommend 1. Gaslighting performance video (intentionally toxic and absolute perfection) 2. Suit Dance lyOns den ver. (also intentionally queer) 3. KB and Junji's cover of Conan Gray's Heather (simply stunning). Thank you again for your reactions!
seOul drift is a track that... just doesn't stick in my head. No matter how many times I listen to it I forget what it's sounds like within a day. I LOVE chrOme hearts/arts tho Macarena is the most fun mv of the year I love it xD
I loved macarena so much, but it really makes me think on what Go_u would have dressed up as if he wasn't on break right now! All I know is that it would be really hot! Lol, they can never disappoint Blee! 💕💞💕💞

... atbo sounds different every cb but the structure is always formulaic in a way. I still like their debut the most i would say.
please read the description of the seOul drift mv when you have the time ^^ it's gorgeous, even though the song wasn't your style
