  • Okay, Dyson, you win. Up until very recently, I thought I have all the vacuums and mops that I needed to keep my house clean, but when I saw this I couldn't resist. 😅 So, what makes this model so different from the other vacuums I have? In addition to being smaller the V12 Detect Slim uses a laser that helps to highlight dust and hair that I can't usually see and a Piezo Sensor that is always telling me what types of dirt and debris have been removed from my surfaces, Oh, and bye-bye trigger button.😊 It's just simply wonderful I hope I got to cover everything in this video and I hope you guys enjoy it. 🤍

    I bought the Dyson V12 vacuum around Christmas time and absolutely love it. Your video helped me understand all the features it has, including how to use the different attachments as well as how to use the display screen with the piezo counter. I would’ve never figured out how to reset the counter without your great tips! Awesome video! Very informative and WELL PRESENTED! Thanks!

    Thank you so much for your in-depth review. Actually, I saw your review on V10 and almost wanted to get that model because it was cheaper. But then I tested out the V12 and decided that having an on and off button was really a deal-breaker so I got the v12....after ordering it online, I noticed that you released a new video on the V12. Talk about co-incidence. I'm so glad that you like your upgrade and I can't wait for mine to arrive!

    I picked up my V12 the other week and absolutely loved it, thanks for your review as it has taught me about the features I didn't know it had etc. I've ordered the floor stand for mine. My brother had the V10 and it was cool and like you I think the V11 wasn't that much of an uplift even though it had a lot of new innovations, the V12 and V15 offer something else. The V15 is more powerful but honestly at 150 air watts the V12 is enough. Like you said the only con is the small bin. For me it was a good compromise as my Cinetic ball dyson is all power but really heavy for the stairs, so I use this on my hardfloors and stairs which is enough, this is an excellent and well presented review and I thank you for it even after having purchased it.

    Hi thanks for your review. I’m debating between the v10 and the v12, but I can’t find a comparison between the two. This is my first cordless vacuum and I’d like to replace my corded one. Price aside, which one would you recommend?

    We have owned and still own several Dyson products. I can’t explain the level of frustration we are experience with Dyson Support in resolving a problem with our V12. In less than a year the Motorbar cleaner head is inoperable and doesn’t work. So far we have been sent two replacement cleaner heads. Both were the wrong heads. It’s has been such a time consuming experience, with any resolution in sight. We are looking into unloading and selling all of our Dyson purchases and will tell everyone we know to reconsider their own purchases.

    I got my Dyson V12 two days ago and I really like it even if it is not perfect. For example the tools you attach to the long bar do not fit strong enough and always move noticeable to the left and right which feels a bit loose to me.

    • @zureai

    I've JUST bought my very first cordless....a Dyson v12, and am blown away by it's deep cleaning ....however, it just stops the minute it gets onto my two doormats, it hurts my thumb joint a LOT, as it's pressed up against the handle, it feels too short for me, but the thing that is a game changer (in a negative way), is that I have to empty it every 10 minutes AND clean the metal filter at the same time, as it's covered in dust/fluff. I've used it on 3 consecutive days, and now I've got permanent asthma, from the horrible allergic reaction I get every time I need to empty it. I'm disabled with chronic illnesses/pain, and strength problems. It's really hurt my forearm, wrist and hand. The laser also wasn't much use on my kitchen floor, as I have a light coloured floor. Maybe I should have turned the lights off in the kitchen! Lol
    I am gobsmacked at the deep cleaning that this gives, and it doesn't seem to disturb the dust on the floor. The air feels clean too. It's just when you need to empty the bin, you get covered in dust/allergens, because you need to pull out the entire steel filter, and then clean out all the dust that has covered that. At the end of your hoovering, you then need to do that all over again, then wash out the bin and it's filter, and leave to dry for 24 hours.
    If you don't have any strength problems, no allergies, and have a house that is lovely and clean to begin with, then this would probably suit you.
    Ohhh, and a LOT of money!

    • @Mortthemoose
      @Mortthemoose Рік тому

      PS....I've discovered that you can kinda clean the metal filter when emptying, by pushing the release catch up and down a few times.....ironically, meaning that you are exposed to the dust for even longer! I've started emptying it in my wheelie bin now, but then that's now going to be full of dust every time I put something in it! Plus it's outside, meaning that I'll have to come downstairs, through the house, and out into the perpetual rain, just to empty 1" of dust! Grrrrr!

    • @yonallb
      @yonallb Рік тому

      Don't let the bin get too full between emptying. When you empty it just go back and forth wit the canister and it will completely empty out. if it is too full you will have to take it off and do it by hand.

    I am considering getting this Dyson V12 for our (1600 square meters) home. I like the idea of getting this one versus for instance the larger V15 model due to its lightness. But do you find this V12 big enough to easily cover a full house - or would it more be as an extra vacum cleaner? Thanks a lot in advance ;-)

    Would you be able to measure how far out from the wall the V12 Slim protrudes when wall mounted? If you don't have it wall mounted, could you please rest it against the wall and measure how far the main body sticks out. Thanks, I can't find these dimensions on the Dyson site.

    i personally prefer the v15, however for a cheaper price this v12 is also pretty good, if you're not too bothered about the extra power, larger canister etc and would like to save a bit of money then i would say this would be fantastic.
    but if you want the best of the best of the current dyson sticks then the v15 is it.

    I have to V8 Dyson and wondered whether is worth purchasing the new V12 with that on/off button as I not a big fan of trigger button on the V8 being disabled but wonder if the v12 is lighter? Also l notice the bin smaller on v12 then the V8 is that a big issue emptying more often? I live in a one bedroom flat with no stairs😀

    • @MrBuddlesBooty
      @MrBuddlesBooty Рік тому

      I just bought a V8 and didnt realize it was a trigger button. ridiulous you have pay $400 more just for an on/off switch. That fact made me decide to stick with my corded vacuum cleaner because I refuse to pay $400 for a simple on/off switch that should've been included on the v8. Also, @Miss Moose above said that you have to clean the metal filter every single time you empty it which is every 10 mn. If they can't fix a simple problem like that on a $650 vacuum cleaner it makes me wonder what else they designed poorly that will show up a year or two later.

    • @DrPositive1
      @DrPositive1 Рік тому +1

      @@MrBuddlesBooty on my v8 it has filter and I clean about every 3 weeks which is easy to do just take filter off and rinse under a warm tap and leave to dry.
      If you just bought the V8 exchange it for the V 12, thats what I would do. The trigger is pain in ass. Apart from that the v8 Dyson has served me well 😀😀
