@@SimonOutdoors if this is the same as the Onetigris, you can use a ridgeline instead of the poles. I really like the design. I've just got the Eurohike Ribble 2, just as a fun overnighter for me and my daughter. Lots more floor space then my Banshee but weighs twice as much so will use for car/garden camping. Similar design. Great video
I have some good memories Simon of training to be a para where we would spend a lot of time on concealment. The one thing we were instructed to do was go low to be stealthy. So, to be stealthy shelters need to be lower - kind of crawling space only. Good try though. Mark
Around 23rd of this month mate, excited for it! Probably just a couple of days. My ankles are like glass these days! May do a longer one in Sep. What are your plans?
Hi mate looks like a cool tent, bit of a faff maybe to put up... Got a brand new tarp last year.. Never used it as I found 2 ticks bedded in my right leg after a walk.... Put me off tarps for life😝cheers mate
Nice video mate, it looks like it’s based on a baker style tent, I think the OneTigris does one similar too. Shame about the rip mate, you don’t have much luck with tents and rips, going by the last few you’ve got. I’m not a fan of camouflage, I used to be as a kid but unless you’re in the army then I think camo just looks a bit like you want to be, if you know what I mean!?
Yes I know what you mean! You're no longer in the army, get over it and move on! Lol, thanks for watching mate. Two in a row with the rips yes! That's freebies for you I suppose! Take care George, Si
Looks an interesting option , a bit of a cross between tent and tarp camping. I've got a camo basha and tarp and depending on time of year and how low you set it they can be almost invisible at a bit of a distance. One tigris do a very similar one to that and dd do to 👍
That’s quite a nice design of tent 👍 Reminds me a bit of my old Dutch Army tent, but much prefer the ventilation (bug net) and canopy design on your tent. By contrast the Dutch Army tent is probably heavier, but bomb proof. But was also more spacious (2man & Dutch are typically tall). Was also preferred DPM camo, and only ~£35 (Grade A used) from military surplus...
Looks like a copy of the one tigris . 1.8kg is heavy for what is fundamentally a over grown tarp but I do think more tents should be camo colour especially those tents from naturehike and 3f ul instead of the bright colours
Yeah I don't know why they target the bright colours, the Hilleberg green on the later models is insane. I'm sure it's a cost thing, hope you're well mate? Si
I've got one of these coming, but I chose the black one 😂 proper stealthy at night 😉😁 You don't have much luck with ripped tents do you? Are you opening the boxes with a machete?
I'm sure I've seen someone put up one of those up (or the OneTigris version at least) using a ridge line rather than poles, like you would a tarp. I may have gone mad though.
I have one of these on the way to test out hopefully it's in good condition or the first look video will not be good for the company that's really bad drills on there behalf sending out faulty items atvb Jimmy 😎😎
Nature abhors straight lines, it's always the outline which gives even camouflage tents away. Either that, or those who leave their fluorescent orange rucksack outside, shining like a beacon.
@@SimonOutdoors it's the green patches I think they could of been a little darker the Norwegian army issue one man army tents are good camouflage wise or German army issue one man all so I find I didn't have to seam seal iv of them I brought them of ebay or amozon there army surplus so second but that's no big deal to me I can all so recommend the gerber gear on man camouflage bivvy
It's an ideal camo for the woods you are in but... Nearly 2kg, need poles and also not seam sealed. Hard pass. Especially with it being shipped from China. OK for a freebee but naw, just naw
Sorry Simon but I’d rather sleep in a child’s Wendy house! Why would you buy a tent that needs to be seam sealed just to save a few quid....not for me looks cheap and nasty but I will acknowledge it looks very stealthy 👍
For stealth, I use army bivvy and basha setup. I also have one of those cheap Kombat Trooper tents (£27) which is like a budget rip off of the French Army F2 tent and comes in DPM camo. Is okay for the summer with seam sealer and some Fabsil.
