The year is 2030. Die In The Dungeon: Origins: Prologue: Demo Deluxe Edition III (steam fest edition) is released. It has more content than most games. It is still free
There's something so viscerally painful about 30:28 when olexa decided "nah, I only want a max of 3 on two sides, I think increasing it more is a bit overkill, don't you think?"
I’ve watched many gamers over the years, and you remind me of why I started watching gamers to begin with! I love your gameplay, personality, and style! I’m glad I found your channel ☺️☺️
I really like how the game balances luck with knowledge. You never have to wonder what is going to happen on a turn, you have all the info. You even know who you’re going to randomly attack on a turn, so you can play around the fact you have to attack a certain enemy. How much you can do is limited to your dice and your luck, but what you do all depends on you.
I really like this new series. Slay the Spire got me into deck building roguelikes and I wanted to find some new ones. Die in the Dungeon and Handmancers seem to have a ton of potential! Keep up the great content!
at the last bossfight you could've just put attack on the blank spot and won, you're gaining armor equal to stage & he's gaining attack equal to stage they'll neutralise eachother and you'll do free damage
Found your channel today. Love the content I’m not that big on rogue likes but I find them interesting. I played the tower game demon from you other video I liked it a lot
Would be great to see one more run, and you can try to kill the other boss first. Just to "see it all" if your up for it. But I'm sure we will see more of this in the future!
@@marcelly715 @acespades2387 sorry guys this is the impressed about beating a boss without having seen its second phase mechanics before thread. yall seem to be looking for the Stoat/P03 thread
Is there any chance The Pyramid will get more content in the future on the channel? Or even an update to it after all this time with new games and new content after a long while away?
I think Random Access Mayham demo might be fun for you then. It is very fast! It is all about swapping between bodies of different enemy types and doing trick shots. My main concern is I don't think I'm fast enough to play it and talk at the same time XD
@@OlexaYT gathered that lol, i mean is it to cut down on faces to manage? guess that would make sense with the new moving pips around mechanic. idk i kinda liked the earlier simpler build with regular dice. do we need relics in everything?
I wonder if another playable charachter will have d6.. Like the white frog in the other demo. I think there are even two starting relic option in this demo! The other one gives a reroll
I actually like the progress they've made LESS than the original preview we got. I dislike the d4 system, I dislike changing die faces; I dislike the overworld map stuff with rolled movement. If they'd given us more of what was in the original, that would have been a hit for me.
Yeah, but... where's Inscryption? I checked and it has overwhelmingly positive reviews. I know that its not roguelike all the time, but i would classify it as one.
@@OlexaYT The first act and kaycees mod definitely is. Okay its technicaly roguelite, not roguelike, but i think other games on the list have meta-progression too
Kaycee’s mod definitely is, but I’d argue that act 1 isn’t. There’s enough story and plot that exists that even if it seems like it is, it really isn’t. Inscryption is still a deckbuilding story game at its core. And fwiw, my criteria for being a “deckbuilding roguelike” is having the deckbuilding roguelike tag on steam, which even the dev agrees the game should not have
15:48 I'm legit getting angry watching your brain cells fighting each other while I'm screaming at the screen to "place the FUCKING purple die on the right to get a +4 on both"
hey... bro love the content but please try to experiment more with the stuff you have before the boss fight or read your relics because with your stuff that boss fight wasn't supposed to be hard

Olexa dying in that early fight instead of killing the adds first by clicking on them is mad funny

14:27 - I'm crazy about Olexa buffs the enemy bug each turn 😅
same
Buffing the enemy and killing himself is peak Olexa
30:28
there was indeed more you could do
One day he will learn how to read
Calm down.. Like the game isn't easy. Not everything is clear tonknow where it's written
@@principleshipcoleoid8095 I meaaaaan… it’s very apparent that he had 2 more points to spend lol but it’s all good.
actually huge glow up. i had some qol/ui issues with the prologue and seems like they're almost all covered

The final boss is really cool! They seem to be an Ornstein and Smough kind of deal where the one you dont kill becomes stronger for the phase 2
I’ve played the demo a bunch, it’s an awesome game

its crazy how every time this game comes out its pretty much completely different
like, D4s, neat

that last fight was Insane i cant believe u won
Especially with how he kept playing his boost dice on the blank spaces instead of on the monitered ones
He really went unpunished for all his misplays lol

Did you know max shield is not more than max hp? I remember just regenning thanks to dice and relics to the max hp each turn.
This is THE GAME that got me into rough likes and deck builders. Changed my life 😅
Pythagoras would have been proud of your run.
The music in this game is like from a fever dream
I absolutely LOVE Die in the Dungeon
30:29 I will nitpick here.. You could had gotten 0-3-3-3 here.
O the draw button is clearer. Nice update to the demo!
Game def looks a lot better and cleaner than before x3
The 2 deckbuilder roguelikes I'd recommend: Path of Champions mode on Legends of Runeterra, and Erannorth Chronicles.

We’ve talked briefly about an update. The biggest issue is it’s just a TON of work haha
That was an insane run actually dang
The boss deals as much damage as the miner helmet blocks so Olexa could just attack on the normal slot and the. Finish
Such a gamer he didn't do the title.
Awesome game and pieck olexing!
Thank you, Gaming Kronk.
My main complaint is the font/typeface chosen for the dialogue text. Not super easy to read.
if i learned something from such games, its to kill enemies has priority over everything. so gett rid of a small one should be the focus
Depends on the enemies. The copycat enemy can be worth rushing down for example. But yea
What do you think of real time fast paced roguelike demos btw?
Love action roguelikes too

Can’t you create an infinite loop by putting two boosts of the same power in eachothers boosted tiles?
Probably for that reason, boost dice do not affect other boost dice
I mean, what's there to say? I wishlisted the game as soon as I saw it.
why did they change to pyramids??
They’re D4s lol

Is this the condescending frog? lol
I got to floor 205 on endless
Endless is Origins, not this demo.. Right?

YESS
15:48 I'm legit getting angry watching your brain cells fighting each other while I'm screaming at the screen to "place the FUCKING purple die on the right to get a +4 on both"
You can’t purple a purple so maybe you should check your brain cells first
@OlexaYT you're right. but you can stack them.
So boost in the middle and right, giving top and bottom +4
@@OlexaYTalso sorry for being aggressive I was a little frustrated
But that’s literally what I ended up doing…. I was just weighing all of the options we had available. It’s a puzzle game
No you put it mid and bottom, giving a +2 and a +4.
but seriously dude it really doesn't matter, sorry for my language tho
Wait.....i swear i just checked this game out but was using D6? Am i crazy? I'm gonna have to look when i get home from work
That was either the old demo or the prologue version
There’s different characters too! Some way use different dice, we dunno yet
Yes, dices were D6. As I understand, it was changed to reduce random.
Why is the final boss kinda...
