Nice to see Fernando explain the door panel removal. I feel like he's always doing the speakers and Dean does the amp mounts and they're very clean but I like seeing the speaker installs too.

I just put the AP4-GM61 in my Non Bose Silverado this week, have it going to my Dayton Audio DSP-408, running active with Tang Band 25-2176s Tweets, SB Acoustics sb17nrxc35 6.5s fronts, NVX NSP Coaxs in rear and a Soundqubed HDS3.1 12" in a Cherryman Customs rear middle seat box... The PAC makes the stock HU sound SOOO much better vs the LC2i I was using before and I haven't even done a full tune with my USB mic and REW yet... Awesome video guys. Really helped make the install easier seeing you guys do it!! Great stuff!!!
you guys do a great install, as a 30 year auto/diesel tech i've seen some treacherous installs that were garbage and flat out unsafe, glad to see you keep it as close to factory looking as possible, whats the easiest manufacturer to integrate into, in your opinion

Brilliant! i have been chasing that Metra speaker Harness plugs for WEEKS for my Holden Colorado (Australian version of the Chev Colorado) Never even thought of the cross branding that Volvo would use the same adapters!!
some great gear on this one and a fun challenge. you always say you set the crossovers to 80Hz for all the speakers as a starting point but ya never tell us where the crossovers end up after the tune. it varies by car and gear and music selection but I am always curious where the settings end up after the tune. show some EQ shots please and crossover freq and would be great to get voltage numbers since most of us have digital multi-meters but few of us have the SDD tools for distortion checking. maybe before after RTA pics with a pic of the EQ adjustments that got you there? learned so so much on how to get the gear into the car. I know copying and pasting your tunes will not necessarily yield the same results in my car but like all your gear install ideas seeing where you start and where you end up on the tune will teach and give some great ideas.
Dean, Instead of mounting the bass knob under the dash, there is that open pocket on the top left hand corner of the dash. There is already a hole in the back of it large enough to fit the phone cable style of bass knobs. Just a little high temp double sided tape to the top and your good. No holes drilled and tape is removable. It's where I put mine, I have a 2015 Silverado Crew Cab.

I have the same Morel speakers configuration - Morel Virtus components in the front doors - Morel tempo coaxials in the back doors The only difference is that mine are 5 1/2" because my truck is smaller than a Silverado I use a 4 channel for the amp for all the speakers and 2 flat powered subs behind the back seat

All I wanted was to upgrade my factory speakers and add an amp to my 8" screen for a good sounding system, I got stuck with the fix 86 and holes through the back of my cab holding the amp on....it sounds better but not the 1200 bucks I paid better....they used Kenwood xr401-4 with KFC series speakers in front and back doors.....you guys are by far the best in the business!!

Just wondering if you guys get the chance could you look at a couple of these Android head units that are scattered about on Amazon and Ebay? They seem to be slowly catching on as they offer lots of features for a little bit of money. Can't think of anyone better to test if they're decent units or complete garbage.
I have kind of a 2 part question, first if you use an amp with dsp would you have to use something like that amp pro? Second if you do need to use something like the amp pro which do you all prefer the amp pro or the metra dsp ? Thx for all the info you guys put out there.
Just as a heads up. On the dual battery, chevy does not include a battery plate on the driver side of all silverado's. You need to buy a different plate. Not expensive but makes things mount properly.

HELP PLEASE!! I've been doing some changes to my wife's 2016 Malibu LT which also has the non Bose 8" screen. I love to you guys used the CarAv 12-232 and would like to do the same but i and having trouble finding it for purchase online. I checked amazon.com and there was no product found on their site. Could you please point me in the right direction towards purchasing the CarAv 12-232? Especially if it will work on my wife's care, which it should bc Gm will typically use the same parts on their vehicles. I would like to not have to cut into the factory wires if it can be avoided as we don't plan on keeping the car forever. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
This is probably a personal preference, wouldn't things sound better if you left the rears on stock power and run the components full active on the DSR1 and the 4 100watt channels of the T1000-5?
Did you guys run 2 separate wires for the tweeters? I only seen four wires, because the non bose audio front door and front mid range plays through that one wire vs the bose uses 2 separate wires.
Do these PAC Amp Pros create a full range frequency themselves, or do they just send out what is given to them from the factory system? Is it common for factory radios to not even send out certain frequencies, like 25hz-40hz?

Can I just cut the speaker wire on the green plug for a 4 channel line output converter and cut wires to install a 5 channel amp instead of this kit? I have a 2018 Chevy Malibu LT with 8 inch touchscreen without bose and I can control the chime volume from the factory.

I have a crazy question. If you want to run separate amplifier channels for mids and tweets how do you do that using a passive crossover? Since theres only one input and outputs to mid and tweet.

Dean, can you please explain the audio issue with the FM and XM? I don't listen to FM but listen to XM all the time. I have a 2015 Silverado non-bose. I replaced all the door speaker with JL Audio 6.5's and they are running off the factory amp. I have 2 JL Audio 10's being powered by a Rockford Fosgate R500X1D. I'm getting my input signal from an Audio Control LC2i. I tapped the rear speakers to get the speaker level input for the LC2i. Am I not getting a true stereo input signal into the LC2i?
Why didn't you guys want to use the audio control dsp for this install. I have the same truck and I bought a custom t harness and a LC7I and alpine 4 channel amp. I hope it sound good. Than you again for an awesome video.

Yes. Just antenna sources are affected. CD, Bluetooth, line in, USB are stereo.

Rf power 1675-s or hertz pro for a 2021 Silverado. I want super loud mid and highs and let a sub do the lows
