I once heard someone describe Muse as "rock from the future". I guess that's why their songs never get old.

Not only this song is an absolute banger, it's also one of the best exercises ever for bassists.
The riff on the verses streches the left hand and requires precision overall. Good for technique.
Then you release all of that tension during the chorus, go hard in that process, and this usually puts a huge smile on your face.
One of the most satisfying songs to play as a bassist.

    Link it to the world
    Link it to yourself
Stretch it like a birth squeeze
The love for what you hide
    The bitterness inside
    Is growing like the newborn
    When you've seen, seen
    Too much, too young, young
    Soulless is everywhere
    Hopeless times to roam
    The distance to your home
    Fades away to nowhere
    How much are you worth
You can't come down to earth
    You're swelling up, you're unstoppable
    'Cause you've seen, seen
    Too much, too young, young
    Soulless is everywhere
    _Destroy the spineless_
    _Show me it's real_
    _Wasting our last chance_
    _To come away_

There's so much I want to tell you about what you are about to experience in life, since regardless of times it's always the same, but it's much better for you to live your life, as yourself. @@mad_bad_cat Yeah, I've seen a lot of Gen Z fully embracing classics not only from the 2000s but from the 1960s through to the 1990s as well. Part of it is the way certain movies such as Guardians of the Galaxy have re-popularized older classics, part of it is simply that 95% of modern music since 2010 is absolutely soulless, navel-gazing tripe.

I don't know what it is about this song but whenever I want to escape, whenever things get overwhelming I come here and blast this song at full volume and just sing aloud, not caring who will hear me. I just go to a world where bad things are not there. I m grown up but whenever I see the stuff that I or people around me are going through I cannot hear it. I just want things to remain like it was when I was a kid, when I used to think that the world is actually a nice place with no bad people, no bad intentions. We teach kids in school through those moral classes, books telling how you should behave, be kind and not hurt others and then we go to the real world it is not at all what you thought it to be, and I think that I, this generation, can make a difference if they want but that innocence gets lost somewhere and we become what we detested
And if anybody read this thanks and I truly wish you have a great life ahead
