Linux mint is prob what most people should use. Even advanced users. It just works lol
Very good insight 👍
I've used Cinnamon for years and love it! I've used Linux since Slackware 1.0, which installed from 18 floppies. The panel config is the thing I enjoy the most, of all the distros this has to be the best panel app! Mint has detected every device on my desktop and my HP15 laptop.
Thanks for sharing!
Very nicely done.
thanks.
Glad you liked it!
best video. thanks sir
So nice of you
I put Linux Mint Cinnamon onto my aged brother's 10Gen i5 laptop which has 8GB RAM and it runs beautifully. He's very happy with it.
I've also used Mint XFCE on a 2008 Dell Core2 duo laptop with 2GB RAM and it was just fine. Of course I put SSDs in both machines as no one has time to wait for old HDDs to spin up.
Thanks for sharing your experience 😀
Great information as always.
As an aside note for info:
If anyone puts LM Cinnamon on an old Surface Pro 3, the touch screen works fine, but I would still use an USB mouse for the installation. Just in case!
Thanks for the kind words, and also for your info on the Surface Pro.
The second distro I installed was Mint with the Plasma desktop- I was heartbroken when they dropped it. My first distro was Peppermint.
Thanks for your input.
17:35 MATE is developed by an Argentinian, and "caja" means "box", so it's not "ca-dja" but "cá-ha". The "J" in Spanish sound like the "Hv" in Norse or Norwagian.
Thanks for pointing out my Icelandic english , just for your FYI my wife of 30 years is Argentinian , so yes I’m aware of these, my primary language was also not English. Regards, t
