Familiarizing and interacting with children/ family members removes the temptation for unauthorized or unsafe exploration by someone who should not be unsupervised. Time well spent!!
People make this way too complicated. Teach kids about guns from the time before they can walk. If they can understand language, they can learn about gun safety. Hiding them makes them taboo and extremely interesting. Kids who grow up from infancy seeing guns and understanding they are not toys, will treat them with the proper respect they deserve.
Had a micro lesson in this kind of stuff a few months back. I went to the range with my family and while we were waiting for our bays to open I was browsing and checking out a canik and as I racked the slide my fingers slipped and the sights caught my knuckles on two of my fingers and cut me. I started bleeding pretty good, but didn't have a boo-boo kit on me. I had full trauma kit, but no bandaids. Had to ask the employees for some. Now I carry bandaids with my medical, lol.

I appreciated the ending reminder. While I do have level IV plates and plenty of guns, I’m missing a lot of crucial gear, and I kind of beat myself up that, with this economy, I can no longer to afford to train as often as I should or buy all the other essential gear like long term food storage and water etc. the reminder that it takes years to build this up was very helpful

Eagle Jack, Hi-Lift etc. are considerations. If you are just getting into off-roading/overlanding and your vehicle has a suspension lift, your OEM jack is most likely not going to work on-road and most than not when off-road.

Awesome video as usual guys. Especially good message at the end for us younger guys: take your time developing your gear. Remembering that your car repair, house savings, and future family expenses gotta be balanced with our tactical stuff.
I ran across this channel while researching night vision and thermal optics. I am a "bug in guy", going mobile in my health would be suicide... Y'all make this entertaining.👍
The intro speaks to one of my biggest annoyances with chest rigs and plate carriers, which is a lack of any standard. We could all work with an 80% solution where items 1, 2, and 3 are placed at x, y, and z. You get 2 free pouches for your specific larping needs but the rest is SOP. Would make a lot of things easier.
@melissajames23 : Take it as a compliment that , although You hate it, and so too, I Myself, We indeed, are organized preppers , and , like 511 Tactical, " ALWAYS BE READY".
Yep, take it as a compliment. I don't consider myself a prepper but coworkers call me that. I tell them I'm lazy and hate having to go back for a tool, extra groceries, or more food, so I try to grab it in one trip and keep some on hand.

About the printer, not sure what printer that is, but I got an Epson Tank printer and it was the best printer decision ever! I was in nursing school at the time and wife is a school teacher, so needless to say, we printed A LOT! The tank printer, you fill with bottles of ink. The ink is cheap and you can get pretty big bottles. If you used a yon of black, you dont have to get a new cartridge with all the colors and waste ink you never used, you just fill the color that you need. There are 4 colors required and it can print anything. Black, blue, yellow and red, and its good to go! If you print alot, try this out, you will thank me!
The drink tube mouth piece could be secured with some gaffers tape so if the detach clip is activated it will remain attached. Lost one in game. Having a back up is a good idea. Draw style cubbies are great for quick access as seen. Clear plastic totes side locking and the larger black totes with yellow lids are also great and stackable for moving heavy and weird shaped items or boxes. HDEX adjustable height shelves may be something to consider in general. A desk with working surface will save the back or if you are on the ground a lot a sit pad reduces the chance for legs to fall asleep. Reasonable sized gym bags are great to use as temp gear storage. The amount of time it took to organize and keep this way cannot be underestimated. Well done!
I desperately needed this video. 😅 Organization isn’t my strong suit, but it is necessary for many things in life. Definitely going to get around to organizing my stuff asap. Thanks for continually killing it with content that is unique and so valuable for us. You guys absolutely rock!!
This is crazy good and interesting to watch. The only thing I would like to do when accumulating gear is to stay as slim as possible, and one item has to serve multiple purposes, so I am not hoarding gear that doesn't get much usage
While I'm not super worried about civil unrest in ND, what started my car gear, and home stash was the winters up here. Extra winter gear, food, and heat options in my car incase my engine goes in -40 winters. what food and water do I have at home when we have a blizzard where I cant get to a grocery store. while the possibility of unrest is something I am starting to prepare for. it all started with being prepared incase the weather knocked out basic necessities or I had to pull over and help a buddy who got stuck on the way to work
You guys are killin’ it!!!!! I work with every spec ops veteran you can think of - Operations, training, Gear, Tactics etc. If the shit goes down, I’d grab any one of you over 63% of the crap turds i work with. Keep up the good work.
I bought a (relatively) cheap rollaway at Harbor Freight and it's the best organization I've ever had for all my blades. Very handy and user friendly!!
@@hagnar08 That can be difficult. It’s crazy that nowadays people can’t go into the woods whenever they want. It used to be no problem. Now it’s all “owned”. Can’t go to public woods without them telling you that you can’t carry a rifle. It’s sickening. It’s hard for some to have a good outdoor place to train.
D.I.Y. plate carrier hanger. I made mine out of a 20" piece of 1" I.D. PVC and a lag screw hook. It's just a straight bar with a hook in it. Really easy, really cheap. I had to bend the hook back a little bit so it would hang straight but otherwise it was really easy. It works great as long as you keep the weight centered. All you have to do is cut your PVC to length (probably doesn't have to be quite 20". Mine was already cut to that length I didn't bother to shorten it) find the center drill a pilot hole, slightly smaller diameter then your hook, screw in your heavy duty hook (lag screw type hook) bend the hook open slightly if needed. I hung it on a bar and bent it until it hung level-ish. It has worked great for several years. If you wanted to get "fancy" you could cut the PVC short slightly longer than then the width of the shoulder straps, and glue some 90 degree elbows on the ends facing up. That would keep the shoulder straps from slipping off, or just cut it long like I did. So when hanging the straps can't reach the ends.
Would love to support the channel by buying merch, but you guys don't send it to Puerto Rico, we are a US territory, and we have been US citizens since 1917. Could you please make it possible to buy from your store? Thnx.
I manage my stache with and electric trimmer, a cheap comb and some hair cutting scissors. Works pretty well. I use the trimmers to keep everything the overall length I want, I comb down the hair and cut just where it meets my upper lip using the scissors.

3:29 something i have also learned is that just changing the battery isnt enough. you should also have your irons sticking above the dot just barely. you never know what will happen
Great video and content. I appreciate organization and agree there is a sense of relaxation always knowing where everything is. I'm a fan of the Clear Totes for my gear. Makes it easy to see what's inside without having to open it up and look. Thanks for the video.
Ive only got one plate carrier set up so i built an armor tree like I had in afghanland 3d printed an mlok weapons mount to screw into the side. Keeps my full kit and rifle within arms reach and still off the floor.
I try to put stuff in the same spot when u get home. The exception is my keys. Sometimes they end up in the closet upstairs, sometimes on the kitchen counter and occasionally i leave them hanging in the ignition
Great topic! I've been on a slow tradjectory of reorganizing all of my stuff starting with the home office and expanding from there. Turning up the heat now on that now that I got my desk and reloading bench built out.
the Heavy duty black bins work well but if you get clear ones, you can see what is in there better. I'm not sure if you can find very durable clear ones but with my experience, they help a lot
I can't remember if you mentioned it. With the med pouch, if the contents are inside an additional pouch/sleeve, tie it to your kit with a length of paracord. That way if you have to move in a hurry (or if your oppo has to move you) your kit is retained without having to try and secure it all. I usually run about 6ft. Its enough to self treat, but not so long you spend all day trying to untangle a mess to use it.
I definitely try to keep a weekly tab on my gear and try to use at least one item to maintain proficiency with those items (fire steels, foldable stoves, emergency shelters, etc.) I have most of the items i would like to have and a couple i'm gonna acquire soon. I have everything generally set up and ready to grab at a moments notice for at least 2 days and i generally have extra stuff in my SUV like snacks and stuff to drink as well as extra clothes, shelter and medical. I'm by no means perfect in my setup but i do my best to check my gear, reassess and do some drills like getting off the couch grabbing the stuff, loading up and getting in the car in record time. Its a bit more complicated with small children and an infant but my wife and i try to do our best
26:38 for "enhanced" safety barriers, if you have the mean, and now that its cheap again, invest in plywood. A layer of half inch goes well beyond whats needed, 3/4 inch basically makes it almost a fortress relatively speaking, and 2 layers of 3/4 inch bog standard plywood will keep almost anything out. Cause, dropping $400 on a smart lock is cool and all, but your tissue paper door and paper thin drywall will not stop a thing
Anker makes some great power hubs for your gear room to make a dedicated spot for your various chargers and cables. A Battery Daddy caddy is very useful too.

A great alternative for velcro item storage is actually just the cheap felt you can get at any fabric store. It's like three bucks a yard and holds Velcro surprisingly well
I don't know my office preparer is definitely in shambles I'm getting up tomorrow morning and going back through straighten everything up and taking a few of your ideas along the way
They're a bit bigger, but I find that in the main compartment of a ruck, Klein zipper canvas tool bags are great for internal organization. They also take paint fairly well.
Helpful. It's super easy to get hung up in what you "could" bring and not leave room for what you should bring. And then there's weight to consider. Having every tool for every job doesn't matter if your kit weighs 300 pounds and puts you on the ground.
I’ll tell you from experience, what I used to have in my old pickup truck box included a big piece of cardboard to lie on if changing a wheel on the freeway or a muddy road. Also what do you do when the truck is jacked up, lugs are off, but the wheel won’t budge? Happened to me, so I started carrying a mallet too. Heck, it’s probably not out of bounds to have some overalls.
Interesting stuff. I'm going to look for a video about various chest rigs. I know you did one. Or four... I need to make a decision sometime before I die.
For the bins you can build a rack using 2x4s and a 1x3s that they slide into i built one in my garage for the black and yellow totes you get at lowes. For patch panels you can buy felt at the fabric store for cheap its far cheaper than velcro but it works.
Marksmanship Video needed. I am new to shooting, and so i wanted to know, “how accurate do I need to be with a handgun to be considered adequate or even above average.” My online search led me to the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program. Being able to track my progress has made practicing at the range more fun. After 1000 rounds, I have made it through the “Marksman” level and am now working on the “Sharpshooter” targets. Unfortunately, there are no UA-cam videos about this program. I think you would be the perfect person to spread the news. Maybe you can even get the NRA to sponsor you.
Goals are progressive. You should be a better. It doesn't matter if youre the best in the world, you should be a bit better. Set your goals to cut a second or half second off your times for each drill at each range. I reccomend for handgun training at 7 yards, 15 yards, 25 yards, and 50 yards

Standardize pouch and accessory placement for your entire group and ensure that they train regularly with their work load so to speak.
Especially when it comes to medical stuff.
I sort of think this video isn’t geared for people that have a “group”. This seems more like for a individual protecting his family

I like that term. I'm kinda in the same predicament but I'm trying to prepare for the logic of "That door is for you not for me"
I think bugging out will be disastrous for most people
@totenfurwotan4478 It most certainly would be for me... Unfortunately, I live at the mercy of modern medicine...
@@totenfurwotan4478yeah, the only bugging out I'm doing is rucking all my shit up to my parents' house lol
I hate being labeled as a prepper but being organized and ready for whatever the situation is being proactive.
You guys have the best intros! They have been so funny. I also appreciate you guys trying to bring us new creative content. I know its not easy. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Thanks so much!!
@@dirty-civilianlove your ideas on old or "not in use anymore" gear storage. I do that with electronics, cables, etc. I call it the grave yard, and any time someone needs random odds or ends, I've usually got it for em, and I know where they are even though I haven't seen it I over 4 years 😂
Amongst the most comprehensive readiness productions I've seen in the last several years. THANK YOU.

Step 1: acquire a lot of money to buy all this
Credit cards work just fine.
@@georgeblanchardjr debt is worse than living without in a lot of cases.
@@WearilyCorrect I know. Thanks.
Set a monthly allowance. Write a list of items in order of priority and just start there.
I think you’re missing the point. Organization doesn’t mean you need all of this fancy expensive stuff. This is applicable to many different EDC.
Just put links in the description. Thanks!
What is that card you are using in the beginning 0:17 and where can we get it?
I’m scrolling the comments to find out and I don’t see it.
This is crazy good and interesting to watch. The only thing I would like to do when accumulating gear is to stay as slim as possible, and one item has to serve multiple purposes, so I am not hoarding gear that doesn't get much usage
This page is so solid. Every video is a wealth of knowledge. Keep crushing it boys
While I'm not super worried about civil unrest in ND, what started my car gear, and home stash was the winters up here. Extra winter gear, food, and heat options in my car incase my engine goes in -40 winters. what food and water do I have at home when we have a blizzard where I cant get to a grocery store. while the possibility of unrest is something I am starting to prepare for. it all started with being prepared incase the weather knocked out basic necessities or I had to pull over and help a buddy who got stuck on the way to work
Wow cool! BTW like the thumbnail of the weapons & gear slot from Gray Zone Warfare. :D
I have the samw Epson printer and i agree, best printer ever
Sh-t, that sudden vampire scene helped my digestive system a lot.
I was p00ping.
Nasty
Haha! When we sent that clip to Nick to throw in the edit he straight up said, “that’s gonna make someone crap their pants.” 😂
I call a video a success when it makes you think about what you can improve on. I would classify this as a success! Great video!
You guys are killin’ it!!!!! I work with every spec ops veteran you can think of - Operations, training, Gear, Tactics etc. If the shit goes down, I’d grab any one of you over 63% of the crap turds i work with. Keep up the good work.
I gave a thumbs up for the intro alone!🎉
Noticed the T1C appendix holster. Divorce from Trex is now complete lol
Probably my favorite video on this channel, and that's saying a lot because so much of DC's content is awesome! Way to go guys!
Yall should do a video on civilian breaching, lock picking kits, slegde hammers, pick tools, etc.
I bought a (relatively) cheap rollaway at Harbor Freight and it's the best organization I've ever had for all my blades. Very handy and user friendly!!
If it’s hanging on the wall.. it’s called art
Applicable video. Now I know how to store my 17 plate carriers and 34 pairs of gloves. Thank you
One of the best ways to prepare is buying a few 22lr rifles and pistols and a ton of ammo. Trust me. This will come in handy.
You might need the new Tipman M4-22 Pistol Pro, all metal and only 4.75 pounds! 🔫😎👍🏻
Organization is a fun challenge to overcome, especially when you can make it cool like y'all have
I need to find like minded friends to larp with I guess lol
I'm in Ga.. I'll larp lol
For sure. Finding ones that are truly trustworthy is the biggest problem.
I also need more space for activities.. need to get out further from STL.

That can be difficult. It’s crazy that nowadays people can’t go into the woods whenever they want. It used to be no problem. Now it’s all “owned”. Can’t go to public woods without them telling you that you can’t carry a rifle.
It’s sickening.
It’s hard for some to have a good outdoor place to train.
I'm in northeast Ohio/northwest p.a. I love to larp and play commando in the woods
D.I.Y. plate carrier hanger.
Thnx.
thank you, very interesting: I also have lists of things for each task at the entrance: shooting, hunting, emergency situations, travel.
This is one of the best prepping and gear related videos that I have seen. Well done. It’s usually completely overlooked.
I manage my stache with and electric trimmer, a cheap comb and some hair cutting scissors. Works pretty well. I use the trimmers to keep everything the overall length I want, I comb down the hair and cut just where it meets my upper lip using the scissors.
Can you do a video on putting together a well rounded AR-15 plz. There is a ton of videos out there on building an AR but none of them are for beginners.
How many times have I watched this video now? I've watched thee with the depth and breath and height my soul can reach ..... oh, errrr, wait. Well yeah, I've watched it a few times. Shared it with my boys. Man stuff. I resemble most of this video. It's good stuff. Emphasized, subscribed, bell rang, commented, liked, upvoted, shared .... may the algorithm gods continue to smile favorably upon your channel.
Oh, super tactical move there, kneeling in an open field when you've got a whole forest for cover on both sides. Really top-notch strategy, BD6 101
I've seen this video before but the intro is so great so I'm watching again
Great video for those just starting out. appreciate the attention to detail! Shared it with my team!
I’ve been needing some guidance in this area so I appreciate the video! Thank you guys!
im here for the knowledge. walked away with a badass printer
Cause, dropping $400 on a smart lock is cool and all, but your tissue paper door and paper thin drywall will not stop a thing
build pods of like gear and preps and label. Saves time and allows for that energy to be used more wizely.
Anker makes some great power hubs for your gear room to make a dedicated spot for your various chargers and cables. A Battery Daddy caddy is very useful too.

A great alternative for velcro item storage is actually just the cheap felt you can get at any fabric store. It's like three bucks a yard and holds Velcro surprisingly well
Love how the vault suit stays on the rack! Loved the video, room looks great!
They also take paint fairly well.
epic. Finally able to put this into practice at my own place. Stoked.
Thanks for the videos you guys make! , Helped me re-think my gear setup & organize better.
Filing cabinets work great also, hold a ton of weight, Usually can find for free or really cheap.
I know exactly why you talked about the printer! I feel you. And thanks because we gave up on those damn things.
BEST video I’ve seen ALL week! Very informative and loved the humor too. Made my day.
For the bins you can build a rack using 2x4s and a 1x3s that they slide into i built one in my garage for the black and yellow totes you get at lowes.
For patch panels you can buy felt at the fabric store for cheap its far cheaper than velcro but it works.
This is the first video that I've seen and I like. Will subscribe. Keep it coming 👍
I love you guy's content, but this might be the best video you've put out yet!
Great vid. Thank you 😊 and as always AMAZING INTROS😂😂😂
I've been doing it for 40 years I'm 62, and yeah I got a lot of equipment and gear that needs to see daylight,
Something I do with my gloves is attach them to key rings so that I can hook them up to my Nite-Ize S-biner for quick attach/detach
Love your content! And this is an must-talk topic and an refreshing video👌
Keep rolling videos!✌
