That is a good question, the biggest thing with the gear mesh is for the operator to give it good initial engagement before the load begins, also to not disengage while flywheels are applying force.
I would say it's a good value if there is not a major failure and if parts are available if something does break. This was advertised as a Petrol Power 34 ton (allegedly).
That thing is way to quick. I don’t like that you cant feather it or inch the cylinder along. A guy probably doesn’t want to hold the wood down for those tough logs like you did. I’ll take a standard Hydraulic one over this kinetic one. Cool to see it work though. I didn’t even know they existed. 🙃
How long do you think the gear & rack will last before it won't function anymore?

That one almost bit ya Eh... Red Neck Log Splitting... Love it..
that's a hd log splitter forsure made short work of that oak one of the hardest woods to split
Do you still have the Honda 500 on the 250 frame?
No I sold it.
Would you say it's a good value? What brand/model is it?

Whatever happened to the buggy?
That thing is deadly ! Sent that one piece of wood flying back.. a guy almost needs 🌰 protection ! Lol
