African Roots was formerly called 'StereoRoots' and was formed in Reading in the 1980's...
Raiders Sound was formerly called 'President' and was formed in Reading in the 1970's....
If you look closely you'll recognize a young-looking DJ on African Roots Sound called 'Scratchylus' - who still tours the World today with his daughter under the name of 'Scratchylus & Empress Reggae'.....
Check out the WICKED Delroy Wilson tune from 1987 at 49 minutes exactly on the video - BAD !!!

Wow my dad sound this takes me back easy African Roots and Raiders. This is when Reading Carinval was good and in the 90's after that Reading Carinval was dead.

I can say this in those days it was pure Reading people! Saw people I forgot about. The last carnival (2019) alot of people from outside Reading.
Still, should of been more love between Raiders and African Roots growing up in Reading ! We are the same people same family.
