Back in 2012 I was deemed by the sales company to be one of the two most knowledgeable service techs in the Washington, D.C. area on these systems. With the problems you are having in this building, I would put a data tracker on the incoming power. Multiple compressors and boards is to me a dead giveaway.
You're very welcome & thank you! I started school for HVACR in Decemeber 2010 & started working in the field in 2011. Good luck with your new career & stay tuned for new videos every week🔧⚡️
Hello, I love your work. I'm thinking about taking on a new customer, and they have L G MULTI 5. I'm a little nervous about this, and I wish to talk to you some time.
Not that I owe LG anything, but as far as I can see those units have a 10 year warranty for compressors and other components when installed and registered correctly. Otherwise 7 years for the compressor and one year for everything else. I doubt LG would do that if they would think it can't make the 10years. Would probably smart to get in touch with lg and check if they need additional oil to compensate for the install or what the cause of those failures is. Sure this is not a perfect world and swapping compressors every 6-7 years on a super efficient system is worth it to the customer instead of ripping half the building apart and changing line sets and indoor units.
I mean they are 12 years old, and if you’ve seen the other videos the indoor units are 100% plugged up. Not LGs fault this facility doesn’t maintain anything. Compressors don’t just fail, they are killed.
@donnyjackson1908 This is true! That's awesome you're up to date with these units. Maintenance is crucial with this setup here. It also has to come down to installation. I hear a lot of issues with LG as well.
Did you know that there is a Pump Out function? It pumps all of the refrigerant out of the unit that you are working on out into the rest of the system. It is SE2 if you want to read up more in the manual.
First class presentation, very informative and helpfull thank's again JMT 👍👍👍💯
Thank you very much!! I appreciate the feedback & support. You're very welcome & stay tuned for new videos every week!
