PLEASEEEE y’all hear me out if u are also EXCESSIVELY oily like me. i’ve been struggling to control my oil for YEARS. these are things i learned from experience, working at makeup stores all my career, & advice from others & also makeup artists: PLEASE GOD USE A TONER. y’all prolly do but i did not listen to people for the longest time until the last like 3 years. 😭 using a toner has made such a HUUUUGE difference oh my god. especially BHA/AHA toners, i cannot use anything hydrating or i get disgustingly oily & break out. please god use a primer, so many customers tell me they don’t & that’s a huge contributor to the problem. THE MATTE MILK PRIMER SAVED MY WHOLE LIFEEEEE. i have tried so many different primers & the MAC one was my fave for awhile bc it kept my oil kinda tolerable, but with the right foundations/skincare, the milk primer will keep u so matte that it’s insane. (everyone’s skin is different tho) using high-end, full coverage foundations, even matte ones, were always the worst for me. using matte drug store ones like l’oréal or maybelline work so much better. i think bc they’re thinner, so they’re not as full coverage but i just mix it with a high-end full coverage matte foundation like fenty for extra coverage & it’s perfect. i also noticed using panoxyl is a lifesaver for me, especially bc i’m lazy & sleep in my makeup. 😭 i still don’t have issues with zits & it significantly helps keep my oil at bay, i think bc of the benzoyl peroxide. but even so, everyone’s skin is different. but i’ve had multiple customers tell me these tips helped them a lot with their oil problem as well so i definitely recommend these tips. also i heard going to a dermatologist to get certain meds, especially tretinoin or something has helped a lot of people out significantly. i will probably do that again bc i had a whole bottle of it but it’s years old bc i never stuck to it LMAO. it’s trial & error but i’m at the best i’ve ever been with controlling my oil !
ALSO, while ur foundation is still wet, try spraying it with setting spray, THEN setting with LOOSE setting powder, & spraying again. that also made a huge difference. compact powders will get cakey, ESPECIALLY POWDER FOUNDATIONS. THEY ARE NOT OUR FRIENDS. THEY MAKE U SO DAMN OILY ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY. i heard it’s like the pigment in the powders, especially compact ones, that attract the oil in ur skin to come out. so yea. :)
Thank youuuuuu i'm a fellow greasy pan too! I have spent so much money on products and still get so digustingly oily after 30mins :( and i use all expensive high end products on my face hardly any drug store ones. Could you please suggest a good toner ? And a good foundation???
Thanks for the recommendation. I have oily skin as well and Charlotte Tillbury has been my go to setting spray. I will give the O/S a try!
I got the same results…. I used Mac setting spray before and then Patrick Star….I used my Laura setting powder and then the charlotte tilbury flawless finish setting powder. I didn’t even use foundation, just concealer under my eyes, the setting powders, the blush, bronzer, and the two setting sprays. I looked soooo oily and had to pat my face down throughout the day at work with tissue. I’m going to try again tomorrow without utilizing the Mac fix-stay over setting spray first.
I just bought this, but I’m still waiting on it to be delivered. Hopefully it does the job.
Gorgeous look sweetheart, great sharing ❤
I’m sitting at home wiping and patting oil off my face as I’m reading these comments. I’ve had very oily skin since I can remember. I dislike having to use so much stuff just to try to maintain the oily areas on my face. So I know your struggle.
I don't think I have really oily skin but I used this setting spray and it doesn't hold my makeup at all. I don't know if its the makeup product or the spray
I’m oily too.. like in a major way
I’m so glad that I saw your review! I brought this setting spray after seeing it in my feed (currently waiting for it to be delivered) I had high hopes now, after watching your video I’m wondering if my oils are going to show up. Maybe we both should’ve brought the setting powder they have also.
Hope you like it!
what shade is your loreal blush? it's stunning!
It’s confident pink
@@NiaraAlexis thank you!
What is ur lip combo?
Chestnut lip liner from Mac, KKW nude 5 lipstick
its nice but it made my makeup super oily and separate even with setting and powder
by what your saying, I think I have the EXACT same problem with oily skin..
like no matter WHAT I have oilyyyynessss after like almost 2 hours (unless it’s humid & i’m outside it’s less lol)
I think the products I use are good, & not that it’s badly made, it def works for others but certain things that are supposed to work, really don’t for me:(
I really have tried everything, & idk what else to do lol
It’s a struggle 😩 but I worked better for me with least makeup & using the other setting spray paired with it
js keep some pressed powder in ur purse
Wonderful review, but I feel like you wasted so much product. If you review your video, you will see that you spray your face and all around your "head" which causes a great deal of the product to be wasted.
Thanks!
Why is never available ?? I want to try it sooo bad
Babe try washing your face with baking soda and like making it like a paste that really takes the oils out of your skin before you do your make up also cleaning your face with alcohol helps take the extra oils out.
I'm so scared of these chemical mists affecting my lungs. Hope it doesn't ruin your respiratory system eventually.
