I believe making goals helps move people forward. I decluttered and gave away 6-7 trunk loads full of "stuff" and feel great with what I kept as my "favorites". I've since set 5-year, 3-year and 1-year financial goals and had to implement a strategy on how to achieve those goals- intentional spending. My faith keeps my inner voice pretty silent because I know ALL things come from God and if the Creator of the universe loves me and cares for me, what other voice do I need to listen to? Great advice on not listening to negative thoughts and being more confident in yourself!

My inner voice constantly tells me I could never be loved, that I am a failure and disappointment, that I don't deserve to be happy or successful. It's something I am currently working on changing (not letting these inner voices get the best of me or continue letting them influencing my actions) and with the help of what you mentioned in this video I'm sure I'll see progress. Thanks for doing what you do. Blessings to you and your growing family ❤

Sir, I honestly don't know how your channel doesn't have millions of subscribers because your conversations are of such value. You are so wise for such a young man. Thank you for your all your content. I can't wait for the book that I hope you are planning to write one day when you are not so busy taking care of your expanding family.

My therapy appointment day had a similar topic. I've got a job interview on Friday, I'm working on myself and the house I bought and it feels like to move forward I'm leaving a lot of familiarity behind. Scary but new things over the horizon I just gotta keep truckin!

My inner voice sometimes can be very difficult to work with whenever my emotions overwhelm me, so this video is honestly SO helpful and essential. Anger makes my inner voice become very negative, and the same can be said whenever I feel anxious, doubtful or just sad about something. Thanks for sharing, Ron! ❤️

Oh Ronald, I love what you say. The internal voice can really affect how we see things. I really don’t like how the old adage ‘be it until you are it’ was subverted into the modern version ‘fake it till you make it’. The first adage implies acting confidently until it becomes a habit and our mindset gradually changes our thoughts to achieve each small goal. However, the second implies we should become a fake version of ourselves almost as if we should try to keep up with others just to reach some often unattainable pinnacle where we will miraculously become happy. That is not a great idea as we cannot sustain the fake for too long. So I agree with you that talking to the inner us and subverting the negative thoughts simply by telling ourselves out loud the opposite really helps us to focus on banishing negative self beliefs. Often just to see things from a different or positive perspective really helps our confidence levels.

it's truly fascinating how 'coincidental right on time' this video came into my subscription list hehe-
I'm literally in that frightening stuck-and-lost start of a new phase where all the old habits, living space, people, relationships and my eduation have fallen trough and it's up to me to be (finally) making the right decisions on how to move forward and become a mentally stronger and better version of myself... thanks for this conversation, for all your calm, easy to follow and open videos, these mean a lot to me, always will! 💗

  • @VooDooSue

Such a great topic! Mine is more of a comparison, of not keeping up. I'm learning that this voice keeps comparing me to my perception...which, by design, CANNOT be met since perception isn't really based totally on fact. Like, I am continually chasing an ideal that will always be out of reach because my perception is totally under my own control.
Just a side note: In trying to write a thoughtful comment to such an insightful discussion, I just came to this realization. ❤😀

Hey Ron, I love your content and honestly, it's been helping me through a lot that am going through personally. I've heard you speak about burn out before and I do feel that at times, we are burnt out but we need to "carry on" due to real life issues. Such as being burnt out emotionally or at work, we still need to bring it everyday even though we don't feel like it. Honestly I do feel quite lost in terms of how to cope at times, whether its finding the energy to keep going on because I have to or just trying to see some good in a particularly tough and long season. This is especially so when people on the outside might be seeing you as progressing or doing well, but on the inside you know its a really tough journey. Would love to hear your thoughts on how to deal with an extended season of burn out and what strategies we can use to turn it into something fruitful. Thanks!

@@RonaldLBanks I’m managing UA-cam video work flow. just I think a lot of good information about how the workflow is set up is very helpful. I’m still getting a hang of it but it has been nice 👍🏽As well as how you create videos during a busy schedule with preparing for a babe etc. would be very helpful.
