This warmed my heart in the manga, but the anime got me to tear up with this. Something about the visual of Momo desperately running forward just to bow his head to the crew. He so badly wanted to show them how grateful he was for all that they'd done. You'd think he would say something during the bow, but the silence felt stronger. Like he couldn't even think where to begin so he just bowed as hard as he could. I still couldn't care less about Yamato being or not being a crewmate, but this really solidifies Kin'emon and Momonosuke and Strawhats for me.
Facts kin and mono were always more important to me especially Kin. Yamato always felt like an fan OC more than anything. Though I know Kin and Momo’s place is in wano I don’t see them ever going on the classic straw hat adventures unless luffy needs them in the final war.
Vivi stayed behind and no one stopped calling her a strawhat. I don't understand why Yamato needed to be on the ship when we have a whole 7 crew fleet.

There never felt like any real bonding occurred to make me want Yamato join outside of her connection to Ace. So when she didn't join, I just didn't care one way or the other. With Vivi though, she fully journeyed with the crew and we got to see how they cared about her struggles, and so we also cared about her struggles. She *became* a Strawhat. It would have been different if we went straight from Whiskey Peak to Alabasta and dealt with Crocodile, then said our goodbyes. Most wouldn't care as much for her just from that.
They will meet again in the future. Momo needs to keep training for his swordsmanship and his dragon fruit abilities. Then, he will return as a stronger person and be able to see Luffy again and help him.

"Honorary" is as good as actually being on the crew in my eyes. Just circumstances mean they can't be there physically but they're the boots on the ground, representing their crew and captain.
