the fun thing about humanity is our capacity for compassion as well. we are not scary because we will always annihalate everything; we have the potential to accept friendly aliens with open arms because we are a social species. we are scary because behind that loving exterior, our inner demons are still there
We are terrifying because nobody knows what we are thinking. Human ability to hide their true intention is super strong. We can ignore our emotions completely and act according to rules and logic like a cold machine. You will never truly know anybody because nobody will share everything of themselves.

One thing that I find terrifying is how in a dangerous frantic situation like a shooting, emergency, flooding, fires in buildings, earthquakes, etc. the one thing you’re trying to run away/get to safety from is the least of your worries. You should be more focused on the people around you because humans try to do everything to survive. One big example is the Movie “Under Paris” when they go into the supposedly “safe” shark chamber nobody panics until the girl in the water gets eaten by the shark and people begin to panic, and in this panic people get pushed into the chamber and either get killed by the shark, get dragged further into/under the water, or get drowned by people. And I feel like that is the most realistic scenario i’ve seen in a fictional world. Humans are always willing to do everything and anything to survive, even sacrificing/killing others.
Eh, if a giant tsunami or tornado is coming I'm not going to be scared of some random dudes, sorry.
we don't realize how much we grew in such a short period of time. we still feel insecure. no wonder the aliens aren't invading us, they know we grew too fast and i find that crazy.

Yea I don't agree with him saying aliens would be afraid either. Ants are more of a threat to us than we would be to an interstellar civilization. I mean they could just drop a few asteroids on us and we'd be done for. Humans are pretty terrifying though. We've begun a true mass extinction due to our destruction of habitats and climate change. A recent study tested human placental tissue for microplastics and found them in all tissue samples examined. This is very worrisome because (human) placental tissue exists for just 8 months, so imagine the quantity of microplastics the rest of the body's tissues are accumulating over time.
