You missed the sin where the Rock resigns himself to burn alive with his daughter with no way out of the building even though he just killed 6 bad guys who were all wearing parachutes.

When that Pearl was closing and the mirrors came up they left the parachute outside the Pearl and that assassin girl took the tablet and she’s not in the building then Sarah came down with the elevator knocked the assassin out then rebooted the building for the anti fire measures to come back on
The real sin is he didn't walk down the side of the building daughter in hand like a football
Since The Rock basically plays the same character in all his movies, why not give him his own movie universe where he just gets a new job wherever the new script needs him to be? That way they can skip the first thirty minutes of setup and just start rocking straight away.

When Henry first uses his inhaler, the cap on it is closed, so it would have made it impossible to use (this coming from someone who needs one)
I use an inhaler also, but don't you also hate how in movies and T.V. shows they show that the inhaler works instantly and they can breathe normally after 1 quick puff when in reality it takes 2 puffs and you have to take it a while before it begins to work and even then sometimes it doesn't even make breathing much easier.

I still think the fact that there are anti-fire measures that can be turned off is the biggest sin in any film of all time
Also the biggest flaw a building could have.

Just imagine the insurance conpany going through the acceptance part finding out you can turn all security measures off: "You can fucking what???"

Every building you can turn off the fire system off.
They do it especially in construction.
Also if alarms get a glitch with many false alarms they might turn off the alarms. No one wants to hear a karma going off every 5 minutes when there is no fire.
Finally they will turn off system in order to test the smoke and heat detectors.
The alarms all go on but the signal is never sent to the fire department. .
Usually if they do that will have security or maintenance on "fire watch" if turn off the fire system.
The tower is made to look like a dragon holding a pearl, based on a Chinese legend, so your description of a snake eating a tennis ball is kinda accurate

In Skyscraper he gets shot in his metal leg. Later on in the movie he gets a metal shard in his shoulder and pulls it out. He doesn't actually get a gun injury.

my main trigger points:
1. jumped from the crane to the building and no cuts from broken glass on his hands.
2. The glass the Rock broke to climb out the window and scale to the turbine was not even an inch thick. WTF!
The main one I just cringe... i can barely type it up. but...😒
3. When the fire was contained on the 96th floor with no oxygen, the building's control measures couldn't put the fire out, however when the system was back on line, the building managed to put out the fire which had spread 50+ floors minimum in what seemed to be a matter of a few minutes. Seriously hollywood, tf are you guys smoking. 😝

Not to mention that the rock and the kid were covert with probably C02 fire extinguisher which is not useable on people because of the freezing temperatures and the lack of oxygen
They did explain how it could take it out in a few seconds and as long as that powder was not there when they first started the fire, it could have been put out by the systems

Were they fine with the fact that eventually the building would literally break and fall over, probably destroying multiple buildings, killing multiple people, and possibly spreading the fire?"

@@danwhite3224 There are valid reasons for disabling a fire suppression system (such as during construction), but that sort of safety system would not be accessible via the building's computer controls. Buildings like that wouldn't have a central control room either.

Yeah, there is just something a bit of a letdown about a waffle (or pancake for that matter) that is only barely warm. You waste money, on purpose, to let Hollywood think they're doing a good job, proud doesn't come to my mind.
4:42 that 5-min boat ride connects Kowloon (where the skyscraper is) and Hong Kong (which is an island). There are 3 cross harbor tunnels but boats work just fine, especially when Victoria Harbour is only about a kilometer wide and the tunnels are often very congested. So taking that boat could be considered the smarter way to go about a short trip like his in the movie.

I like the Rock. But unfortunately (or fortunately) The Towering Inferno, a skyscraper-on-fire disaster movie that was made in 1974, is a far superior film to this one. And listening to John Williams' score in Towering Inferno is alone worth the cost of renting (or arguably purchasing) that film.

The good old days of either being courteous enough to rewind each VHS rental before returning the videos to the store, getting a reminder call for new releases that were two days overdue, and the feeling of semi-panic when you were rewinding a tape and your VCR decided to unspool the tape from the tape holder... oh, and when movies that you were trying to find had been put back on the video library shelves out of place by other customers, and even the staff couldn't locate them until their next stock-take. Those were the days lol. Digital rentals are so much easier...but the collection range (on iTunes, at least) is somewhat inhibiting. Those old video libraries were a celluloid Aladdin's cave.
That and the fact that Blockbuster always felt like a ghost town and stank of stale popcorn. And despite never seeming to have any customers, they never seemed to have the films I wanted when I wanted them. Five hundred copies of Home Alone? Check. Three copies of the number one film released less than a week ago? Check.
I'm only 18 and I grew up on VHS tapes. I'd still watch them if the VCR would work right or beable to find a new one
