    I'm from Uvira, South Kivu province in D.R.C, and my tribe, Bafuliiru, in our history or popular memory, we are reminded that in our migration from ancient Soudan to ancient Central A. R we migrated to Bunyoro (Kitara) then left Bunyoro in 1070 A.D. with other current tribes in Eastern congo like the Banande, Bahunde, and Bashi.

      This sounds interesting. Got any links to where I can find out more about your story?

      bafuliiro found the vira there, that’s why it’s called uvira, after one of their kings left the Luba empire migrating south by the zyoba. In fact the founder of the Luba empire was from a Vira clan, and when you get into Luba history you will find each king had to have a divinity to their being found in balupwe, who were spiritual advisors of the Vira king. Even us Bashi have cows we got from Banyankole. All of us being kind of related makes the East Congo issue seem like family drama

    Bigobyamugenyi is a shrine for Mugenyi where the Abacwezi made their decision to whom the Bacwezi will entrust their Cwezi Kingdom between Mugenyi and Mulindwa Nangoma was the one left with the authority to guard their spiritual Kingdom.

      Runyankore was the original language of Bachwezi, that's why there are Runyankore speakers in the northern Tanzania.

    The Bachwezi are not mystical. they are a real race of people who lived in these land It can now be affirmed that they actually originated from Portugal. In fact "Bachwezi" is a loose translation of Portuguese. Amongest the interluctrine kingdoms, what is left of these people is a clan of the Bachwezi. Even today one of the feature of the people in the Bachwezi clan is their light skinned nature. The mysterious nature that later gets introduced on to the Bachwezi is fueled by the European colonialists who wanted to demonize whatever good they found in Africa and... It worked.

      Hello Ronald, if I may ask, how did you find that bachwezi are of portugal descent? You even suggest that the bachwezi clan would still exist nowadays?

    • @ronaldkyomuhendo7172
      @ronaldkyomuhendo7172 9 років тому +1

      Hi leu05ad, If you need an accurate account of history it is always advisable to read several independent sources. During the time Bachwezi came to our lands The Moors had invaded and Portugal and Spain and established the Moorish Empire.It can therefore be concluded that The Portuguese escaping the Moorish rule end up in Africa and are the Bachwezi. and leu05ad, yes it is true that the Bachwezi clan still exists among the Batooro and Banyoro communities in Uganda. As a matter of fact my grandmother is of the Bachwezi clan and she is very light skinned.

      @leu05ad 9 років тому +1

      Webale nyo Ronald. You are right about the Batooro and Banyoro, even Baganda claim to descend from Bachwezi no? But to me UG seems a bit far from Portugal fro them to cross most of the continent to escape the Moors? Bachwezy are believed to nilotes? A first Luo migration before the Babito no?

    • @albonyo
      @albonyo 9 років тому +8

      +Ronald Kyomuhendo Rubbish! Africans really like to associate themselves with wazungu...as if we were not great..Bachwezi were Black people who came from the North of Africa escaping turmoil and politics, as they desired to maintain their pure way of life....Portugal was nonexistent at the time...the Moorish invasion came much later and it makes more sense for Portuguese to escape into Europe than into Africa where their enemies reside
