Chaos dwarfs don't really worship the four chaos gods but rather the Hashut god of fire, greed and tyranny. Which is most likely a minor chaos god.
Also you're right about the dwarfs turning to stone due to them using magic. It's called the Curse of Stone.
not sure if this is right so don't quote me on this but I read its actually from magic miscast
@@1899Viktor both in lore and on the tabletop that can cause it but ultimately just the use of magic in general will eventually turn them to stone.
One of their leaders has stone legs and has build this machine to walk. 😄
It happen also for regulars dawis. Old runesmiths tend to turn into stone dues to creating runes (witch is still bonding magic). It happen but it's not as blatant as what happen to the dawizars dues to their extensive amounts of magic.
Hashut is a minor warp/chaos deity in fantasy and 40k in both dude is a probs one of the most unknown but competent chaos factions around.
The K'daai Destroyers roar is probably the coolest thing I've heard in a video game trailer.
It's like Mass Effect Reaper-soundeffect level awesome.
Ormagoden roar in Brutal Legend is far more dumb and cool

Short chaos dwarfs lore summary:
During the fall of the Dwarf Empire, right after the war with the Elves, earthquakes troubled the empire, Skaven and Orcs came out of the caves and many Dwarven holds fell.
The roads, connecting the dwarf empire collapsed and every kingdom had to survive on their own (this is why the dwarfs are still split).
One group was living close to chaos. They where dying, when a voice spoke to them, promicing the power to survive, if they gave themselves to it, and made sacrifices. They accepted and became the Chaos Dwarfs, they lost their immunity to magic and corruption, but gained the magic lore of magma. Their God is a Volcano god who use the image of the bull.
They started using slaves, since their own population was to small to keep the factories going. Orcs and goblins was the easiest to use.
They tried to breed stronger slaves, but this turned into the black orcs that nearly killed them in the slave revolt and escaped into the world (yes, chaos dwarfs is why we have black orcs)
With the lose of the corruption immunity, some Dwarfs changed shape and became Bullcentaures who fight as cavalry.
The Dwarf mages, have become very powerful, but it turns out, the more you use the magic, the more your body turn to stone. So, all mages will eventually turn into a stone statue, unless they get killed first. The Dwarf with the exo-skeleton, is one of the most powerful mages, who now use a magic suit to move, since his legs and hands have turned to solid stone.
Oh, yea, The chaos Dwarfs also had artilleries trains and iron construct that had demons trapped inside them to make them move.
The It wasn't just that but the upheaval caused Chaos winds to spread across the land in the southern Dwarven strongholds and the dwarves were exposed to demon raids and mutation. Astragoth the Chaos mage Is supposed to be extremely powerful close to Teclis or Arkhan the Black.

The roar here at the end is so good…I’d argue it’s right up there with the dragon scream at the end of the Grand Cathay trailer.
The centaurs are called Bull Centaurs and are half-dwarf half-bull.
While the Chaos Dwarves are followers of Chaos they don't actually worship the main four Chaos gods and are much like the Skaven in that they worship another Chaos entity, but in their case they worship the entity known as Hashut, the Father of Darkness and apparently has a thing for bulls.
First, and that roar at the end gave me chills like GODDAMM!!!!
The reason why the Chaos Dwarves are my favorite faction is because the thing their god, Hashut, desires most of all is Efficiency. Chaos Dwarves do everything they do because they believe they need to in order to survive. Are they correct? Maybe not. But they are certain of it, so they will.
A Chaos god of order. Interesting.
Hashut is not a god of efficiency or industry. He's the god of tyranny.
Chaos Dwarves are just very industrious by the nature of being dwarves. But their religion, the worship of Hashut, is mainly about power dynamics of all Chaos Dwarves being the top class, and literally everyone else being basically the same as dirt.

Hopefully someday GW will be bring Hashut to Warhammer 40k and give him the Iron Warriors as an Legion and make Perturabo his Demon-Primarch.
@@doncalicula7938 We have Vashtorr the Arkifane in 40k already (perfect "patron god" for Perturabo and his sons in the future).
@@Ddarth_sidious Not really, so far Vashtorr looks more like a God for the Dark Mechanicus and Chaos-Tech-marines.
I'm really curious about that faction Forge World had made the most modern sculpt of it and they were bangers, can't wait for the giant centaur clad in chaotic armor to lead the charge on the total war battlefields

@@abaddon7558 Alas Shar'tor won't be coming to WH3, GW now considers him as an Age of Sigmar character meaning they didn't give CA the rights to use him in Fantasy.
They'll turn into stone no matter what lore of magic they use, it's just that Dwarfs haven't been tempted enough on a large scale like they have with the Lore of Hashut, their God.
But their numbers are actually very low, that's pretty much their only weakness. Which they have to compensate for with tons of war machines and greenskin slaves lol.
btw this dlc also has a hero which ANY faction can recruit they want to continue this trend onwards so its likely that the next dlc will also have a hero WHICH ANY faction can recruit this will give a lot more options

I haven't seen many comments like that, but I would certainly be giving them sidelong glances like "You don't know what that is do you, that's something truly beautiful you ingrate." Cause yes, the K'daai Destroyer is amazing, and I'm going to enjoy having it decimate everything in sight. Along with dreadquake mortars.

Love that trailer. Wish it'd be longer... don't like the Voice Over. I kinda wish it had no voice over and just let the picture tell teh story, or have one of the chaos dwarf characters, like Astragoth (the guy in the mech suit) do the voice over. For me, at least, this pseudo-Galadriel voice kinda clashes with the visuals.
