Im playing civ 5 right now (with future world mod [adds endgame technologies] Ghandi survived to the dreaded message:
- Ghandi entered the Atomic Era.
(I beelined through china just to pre nuke him. I still need to capture Delhi but i guess he only loves nukes as his normal army was kinda high tech for a AI [I think i play on Prince right now as i had to test the mod as it is my first run on it. Huge map slower game speed.] but he only had a couple of them where i always have too big armies and it eats my funds. Still i rather be broke yet win than be bezos and have my head chopped off.).
Anyway i can;t wait to build Skynet and release Terminators on the French (i don;'t use nukes much and usually pass the non nuke act or whatever but when i seen he is building the Manhattan Project and he does LOVE nukes so i just had to use some on Ghandi.).

fun fact about city gates, its better for a single unit to be whacking away at it rather than a multiple unit as they all just get jumbled around and unable to attack, meanwhile the one guy goes wild against the doors until they burst open as there is no gradual damage models for them, 100%-1% health looks normal but as soon as they hit 0% health they swing open harder than the best beat drop

he installs a bunch of mods and makes his own plot and narrative with him dubbing most of it, it's honestly very fun and high quality. (he also has one for resident evil 4 but that kinda continues his made up plot)

I seriously hope Badger manages to maybe work with the creators and publishers of War Thunder now that Red Lobster is bankrupt to legally obtain the rights to all his jokes and desired skin references that he can contractually extend to War Thunder while signal boosting them for supporting him in this crazy joke, but that actually speaks to real gamers.
See, (I'm speaking to you weird corporatist types) if you treated gamers like the Golden Age devs or even the directors of glory when "Hollywood Blockbuster" meant BILLIONS treated their fans, you wouldn't have the problem of losing favor. TF2 is "politically" in the garbage at the moment because the PLAYERS have decided enough is enough and just like I hate when someone talks shit about my favorite movie, they hate when they're ignored like their love for these games don't matter. Even IF it never makes you another CENT, the simple act of extending your understanding out to PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY PLAY GAMES, you realize that we're almost entirely starved for understanding these days. You want to know why Helldivers 2 became and remains a cultural icon even with the controversy? Because ARROWHEAD CARES ABOUT GAMES, that's all it is. They've sold and shown and, despite cards being dealt without their control, they mostly just tried to fix the situation wherever possible because they KNOW they're asking a lot, but by exposing your weakness, like a dog on its back, you start to understand that this entity sees you as a symbiotic relationship and simply accepts what you want out of the pairing (good gameplay) while they get what they need to do better (revenue from their success and support). Compare that back to Valve's seeming lack of care for their actual developed game players, and it makes sense that the public is pissed because basically EVERYONE trusts them, we NEED Valve to see what gamers want, and they're starting to ignore us like all the other corporate puppets. And because we CARE ABOUT THEM, we fight for them to FIX THINGS before the collective judgement is cast.
NGL, I only buy from Steam for access to multiplayer (lol, I have no friends) or modding, everything else is owned entirely by myself so even IF Steam goes the way of Epic, nothing really changes for me.
