Northumberland - Bellingham

We stayed at Tebay Services Campsite and also Bellingham Camping & Caravan site, we woke up to cloud and mist. We decided to give our legs a run out on the e-bikes, having not been on them since Nov and are planning on a big ride out the following day.
We did a circular route from the site to the south of Bellingham, taking in Wark, Birtley & Redesmouth. A lovely route over the moors using quiet roads. The misty weather almost gave the scenery a really magical charm. We headed back to Luna in time for lunch of Tebay farm shop sausage butties x perfect morning 🚐🚴🏻‍♀️
After lunch we decided to walk into Bellingham village itself, along the river and up to Hareshaw Linn. A lovely woodland waterfall walk, it was well worth the small climb. A marked 3 mile round trip along the water, there is something so mesmerising of the sounds of running water cascading down x we rewarded ourselves with a G&T / pint at the local pub before heading back to Luna - great day xx 🚐🥾🍺🍸
Our third day was a ride out to Kielder Water, it was just over 11 miles from the campsite along very quiet roads with a couple of hill climbs - made for great cycling. We cycled anti clockwise around Kielder taking in the high forest tracks on the Northside.
We enjoyed a picnic lunch at Kielder Castle before taking the lakeside trail along the Southside. Fantastic cycling with around 23 miles around the perimeter. It was quite up and down in elevation which made it more fun. A coffee stop with home made cream tea before we set off back to the campsite, finishing a fantastic day out with a roast dinner in Luna - just perfect x 🚴🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♀️🌲☕️🍰🍽️🍷🍺x
