All my respect goes out to Mick Mars, that guy persevered through all the pain to give us the bad ass guitar riffs. In my opinion he made the band.
While I love this comment I cant agree, Neil has such a unique voice that separates him easily, Tommy drumming is so energetic and loud and Nikki died twice and still snorts dope like I smoke joints hahah but as a guitarist Dime and Mick are my top 2! RR 3rd
Yeah, Mick's back is in pain from carrying Vince and Nikki all these years.
He was s spoke in the wheel...,.they all "made" the band. Mostly Nikki, he wrote all the songs and Vince was the quintessential front man!
@@averageguitar8330 mick and dime above RR? your obviously young😂
@@surf101- whatever......they could have gotten a better guitar player. Mick and CC deville were very similar and not very good. When Vince left the band he got Steven Stevens....,WAAAAAAAAY better than Mick go watch "you're invited but your friend can't come" live. In the eighties it was all about Vince and Nikki. they were out front doing it. Rogue leader? A star wars nerds comments on rock that was waaaay before his time. The dirt Sucked. The only person remotely like the real person was MGK
Mick Mars Is AWESOME... Vince singing on key... Tommy is the Hit man and still is to this day... Nikki is also Fucking AWESOME...
Mick Mars work on, "Smokin' in the boys room" is perfect. Do you understand that this guy is switching between soloing and slide guitar? I'm a guitar player and have never seen this performance. I thought he was complementary and solid at best...
Mötley crüe is awesome!

I would love to hear Vince sing an entire song just once, but I don’t think he’s capable of it. He can’t sing through a song without breathing when he should be singing.
...#Cru4Lyf
Man Vince sounded so good live back then. The whole bands on point here
I had to come here after seeing all the recent Motley Crue 2022 live posts on social media.😖 Thank god for UA-cam! 😃 The Crue at their peak!🤘
lol, he SUCKS.
Sad thing is even here he spoke his words and skipped a bunch of them
And was off key constantly
His peak was 1981 he was a monster that year

Everybody is going to call me a krok of shit,
But I hear a little bit of Elvis in Vince when he sings, the careers have mimicked each others through time
I wish they added this concert to the movie
The guy playing vince looked nothing like him. The only dude that looked and acted real was MGK
They left out so much stuff in that movie, the more I think about, the more I hate it. You can't tell the story of Motley in 1hour and 40 minutes
@@mikejessmax so true but they tried their best to make the story seem more appealing and to attract fans the best they could. I do hate how they censored reality (way to attract fans rather than repel) and they got rid of some scenes tho that were really good.
I'm not hitting the like button because it's at 69 right now.
@@thebikewatcher9819 its ruined
The 80's was an incredible time to be a teen.. so badass.. no one will ever know what went on.. just the smirk on my face when I'm an old person in my rocking in my chair.. memories to carry me through to the next dimension..
Lucky guy, I’m 27 and didn’t get to experience the 80s. I’d love to hear some of your stories though, nowadays you can’t even tint your windows without getting harassed by pigs, back then I’m sure it was a lawless wasteland
I'm actually jealous to read when people are saying how awesome the 80ies were... They always say that every generation says that the old days were better, but damn the 80ies were the years to be a teen, young adult alright...
Yep. I was a young teen all through this era..it was perfect
Kid in the 80s, teen in the 90s. My sentiments exactly. Things were so bad ass back then, everything sucks now. I have two teenage kids, they have no idea what they missed - and I'll never tell them.
Fuck man can i smell your fingers?
Incredible show. At their absolute peak here. Sometimes it feels impossible that the 80s ever happened. Great stuff.
F in great!!
then the 90s came and kicked the 80s ass!
@hypolyxa7207 It was a hell of a good time to be young and the music made it all the better.
@@TheNBSPerrylol no 80s music will always be the best
Late 80's Crue was the best. They looked and sounded great even though they were all still fighting their own personal demons.

Imagine seeing MC live while in their prime. Holy crap.
I did see then in their prime. SHOUT was an amazing TOUR
Nice thought, love it. Seen them over 15 times dating back to 1985....best shows!! If they do tour next year...go see them, they've still got it.
I saw every tour in the 80s🤘🍺🎸
I saw them numerous times and though I always had a great time many of those shows the entire band was basically drunk AF.
I saw every tour in Cleveland Ohio from the time they opened up for Ozzy Osborne in 1984 right through to Dr. Feelgood. I missed a few tours during the dark days but then I saw their "farewell" tour a few years ago.
Охрененно размотали стадик! Красавы! Вот это уровень!
Man, they were on fire.
Vince sounded great, amazing Attitude. Mick Mars WOW, Tommy killed It. I loved It. This Is Rock n Roll.

Mick Mars is a fucking great guitarist!
Джон Доу I looove that finish on what I believe to be a Kramer...
Love the Confederate flag on his shirt
You got that right
Tommy Lee is a f*****g beast on the drum kit man, love it
I actually saw them live around
2 months after this, and they were
brilliant; probably partly, because I
didn’t have any expectations...even
Vince sounded great. It was the
beginning of the ”Dr. Feelgood”- tour,
and they were all sober...that must
have been the reason, why they were
surprisingly good...
I saw that (this) tour as well, the Upside Down Drum Kit. They were huge at this point, the biggest band in the World.
@@streamofconsciousness5826lol, U2, The Cure, Depeche Mode were more more bigger
This is the ✨appreciating Mick Mars✨ comment section I love it
He is the best one
Yeah that’s one hurting sonofabitch the poor bastard got fibromyalgia don’t he? I really don’t blame him for being a junkie dude. But Vince Neil should’ve still been in prison for killing the much more talented Razzle or Hanoi Rocks and the only two albums I’ve ever needed were those first two. Afterwards, they’d became a parody of themselves really. Sincerely, DJP ex Anal Cunt; PostMortem and Kilslug Sony;Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! 25:50 I literally want that man's energy everyday for the rest of my life! 🤟🏾
Nikki sixx attendind a no drugs no ALCOHOL concert......gotta love the 80s
Doc McGee put this on to avoid jail for smuggling weed. The bands all snuck shit in, worst kept secret.
Ken Johnson I thought Crüe was sober at the time for Dr. Feelgood?
Crüe was sober at the time, can’t say the other bands were... Doc scheduled this to get his ass out of trouble cause he was selling drugs.
Look at
MIck!
Vince!
Nikki!
Tommy!
Nasty Habits,Emi & Donna
They are Great!!!!!!!!
Aww mam what a time to be alive! I was 12-21 during the 80s and it didn't get better than that!
And this concert is the best I've seen Mick perform.
what r u guys bitching about?they sound amazing here.loud and proud!
I'm surprised they actually gave Mick a fair amount of camera time for once.
Because he wasn’t a corpse back then. Bless his heart.
Mick LET them. . . .
he barely moves or gets into the songs and looks really miserable which is why they don't film him anymore. Its quite sad :(
@@zacsalmon5086 yeah but not really his fault his body is constantly aching from his disease and just age in general but he still kills guitar solos
@@denther16 its not his fault at all i never said that and yes hes still an amazing guitarist
This is the Crue at their all-time best.
Every member was essential to this band's sound. Saw them at Freedom Hall in Louisville Ky in late 88 or early 89. Always been a fan long as Vince was vocals
Mick mars is Motley Crue the sound the riffs the power ! They also have great songs so many great songs in every album that’s why they are an amazing band
Hombre Wea i would love to see and heard in what way Nikki bring a raw song and how the group transform that original i think it's about their chemistry but the riffs will
Live for ever
Shout, live wire, girls ,feelgood etc etc primal scream it's all about the riffs sixx was a great seller !
Agree ! Mick had a lot .. to do with the riffs . If anyone actually thinks Nikki wrote all the riffs , the way they are on the album , they are crazy . Mick is a musician , and you can tell many are his idea's . Nikki couldn't even play bass in the studio , on Shout at the Devil . Theirs no way he wrote all the early classic riffs the way they turned out . Mick helped a lot !!!
@@guarisnaque2435 even Dr Feelgood?
@@SJ-ty5rwMikky Sixx is a 🤡 sucked
Motley Crue was at their absolute peak here. Sober. Tight AF. A killer album just waiting to be released 20 days after this show. Then, only about a year later, the fun was over.
All the haters what would you prefer Vince just sits in 1 spot and sings? You go to a concert to see a show.. if you want to hear the song sung properly buy the album and stay home
Well said
Personally, I would prefer him perform.
...but he cant.
Okay, I take your point to an extent however... the guy is meant to be a professional. He should be able to cover the stage AND deliver the vocals correctly. Hundreds of other singers do it so I don't think expecting Vince Neil to take his job seriously is too much to ask. Look at videos of him in the last five years - the guy isn't even trying any more
@@tombstone3354 I agree, even Ozzy could still hit his pitches and was clear and he's always crossing the stage
@@alexandervidmar8015 Absolutely - I was lucky enough to see Ozzy's set at Donington in 2018 (Download) and there was only one song where he was really shaky. Then look at other guys of a similar vintage that can still knock it out of the park vocally; Tom Keifer, Jeff Keith, Ron Young and David Coverdale to name but 4. Oh, and Danny Bowes from Thunder is still brilliant, too! Vince needs to lose a couple of stone, get on top of his vices and get match fit. Sorry, went on a bit of a rant there
I watched this concert in Novembre 1990 in VHS format. I will never forget that day, I think those who were there is even more unforgettable
I am the one😍
You bet 😁
That mirror top tele is just🤤

So that's how he does that part on the Dr. Feel-good solo!
This has reminded me that Mick hasn’t always looked like a wizard.

Probably it was your first time watching crue live in the 80s

Mick Mars is an awesome guitarist.
I wish vince stayed sober. He sounded so good on this tour. Sadly only this tour
Anthony Kish Vince was always good... with in and out...
@@blackythetiger Exactly
Definitely not a hater of Vince, but let's just say there's a new perspective on what he is now & realizing he's ALWAYS been that way. Being a fan of Motley when they were relevant, it's easy to overlook the obvious when you love the records & the image the individuals who made it larger than life. Vince is kinda in the same vein as David Lee Roth ~ fantastic in the studio & a great SHOWMAN on stage. But i always give the man respect for continuing doing what he loves.
Mick Mars !!!!! humble and best of the four
Nikki 31, Vince 28, Tommy 27, Mick 38

Not to mention they were also super pissed at their manager at the time Doc Mcghee for lying to them about the festival and basically treating them like an opening act is what I have read, so they were playing pretty damn angry the whole show. However, I love it because you can feel that energy just watching it on here on UA-cam even haha
Vince’s vocals were so quiet during the “Papa won’t be home tonight” part in Wild Side.
Thank you Danny. You have the values to be a good guy. You put that very well.
Such an awesome show to see. I was pissed watching this on PPV and it was the edited version of all the sets. This was so cool looking back on it with Dr Feelgood right around the corner from this performance
Tommy have the feelgood logo on the drums before the album came out to
motto sierra this was 19-20 days before the album came out so it’s possible the album art was already released publicly. That’s probably why he has it
The tours are planned way before the official release of the album, along with related imagery and props. Guess he was eager to use it. Good observation though...
I think this was their warm up before the feelgood tour started
Nice catch.
