      Actually,... NO, he doesn't....
      because John said 'In HIS opinion'.
      you can state your OWN opinion ABOUT his opinion, but you cant say that someone doesn't feel the way they do.
      Also,... if you hold 'shift' and press enter it will create a space to make paragraphs so you aren't stuck with typing one huge block of text rendering it highly unlikely that people will read your (lengthy) input.
      You're obviously a massive Crüe fan, its great to see that level of enthusiasm, but nobody has ever made a 'good point' by calling people 'dumb-ass' ya know?

      Well, if Mick wanted to self-promote 20 years after the band was relevant and have a radio show, he might get more recognition. He was always just happy to let the others get the headlines. And I think he's in pretty poor condition these days. He is a humble guy and I think that's because he was already in the game a while before they got famous. The others seemed like it went straight to their heads and they didn't know how to behave.

      Mick Mars unconsciously soaked up all their potential health ailments and destructiveness and life-altering life threatning situations, he bore all their destructiveness to themselves and it carried the physical ailment. He was literally a life saving antennae for them, a very subtle transfer of energies-Unfortunately he bore it all through his physical ailments.

      It was the idea and the presentation that really blew everyone away. They talked about everything every guy wanted to do and u could dream about being one of the guys in the videos with all the girls. Then one day all these men woke up in their 30s and 40s and realized the dream wasn't gonna happen and then everybody became mad and it trinkled down to teen angst and grunge really took over from there. My metal head cousin convinced this country kid to go to see one of their very first gigs in Canada in Hull, Quebec for their Shout At The Devil tour. I just remember being fascinated by the punk scene at the time and I was intrigued by how raw Vince’s vocals sounded so away I went to my very first concert. Old hockey arena and all general admission. I was right at the stage. Even came away with one of Nikki’s bass picks. He was my favorite member right from the start. I loved his look. We bussed to the gig but had to walk all the way back across too Ontario because it let out after the city busses stopped running. Lol. Me and my cousin were so innocent back then we were 14 yrs old and stone cold sober and straight and we had a blast! I’ve been a huge fan ever since. Thanks cousin Joel.

This year as they are supposedly on their final tour, Mick does not get the respect he deserves, but when I see these lists of "riff" guitarists, memorable riffs, there's always Ritchie Blackmore, Tony Iommi, EVH, and so on, and Mars is never even thought of, but he IS a riff guitar player, created those riffs we all remember and he should get more praise. Live wire, shout at the devil, too young to fall in love, girls girsl girls, and so on....these are GUITAR player memorable AND original riffs. I read your post and it made me think that yes you're right, he gets little love from others because he's a quiet guy who stayed out of trouble who was well-liked by everyone else. Good guy.

Just amazing!! One day it will catch up. They know it. But what a life of living on their terms and not societies. Just for a minute...I think we would all like to live life on our own terms and not how society tells us how to live. But one who tried....what brings you back is family, friends, love for life and love for a good day. One can never explain the darkness unless they have seen it. But one who has seen it is able to keep others from going to the Wild Side! It is fun at first.....but no way to live a life. But that doesn't mean the music can't continue. Nicki sixx Is an amazing songwriter. One of the first albums I listened to was the Dr feel-good album. My dad and mom had a huge record player with a 6 disc changer and when I was a kid that was a big deal. My father would put in motley and I was blown away. Hooked since the age of 6 bad ass great bunch of men.

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE MOTLEY CRUE! My grandmother bought me 3 of their albums one day and actually liked them! I have only seen them 4 times so far sadly. Nikki's voice is so hypnotic. Very ASMR!

    One of my all time favorite bands! I remember being 12 years old and having to lie to my parents so I could go with my 2 friends to see Motley Crue play. It was the girls, girls, girls tour with guns and roses opening for them with appetite for destruction 1988! Best nite of my life to see them both at that age 🤘🏼

    The Crue, like many other rock bands in history have had their good, bad, great and sad moments. No matter what, I can personally say, they are a GREAT bunch of guys. I met the band in Chicago in the late 90s (I won't say where for privacy of the band). Tommy wasn't there, having gotten himself busted for something that had to do with his wife/girlfriend at the time..The guys walked in with their attorney/body guard following them. (He was wearing a suit) They all looked pretty normal to me with the exception of Vince who at the time, had blond and green hair. I knew OF the band but looking like normal fellows I didn't recognize them and jokingly said to Vince, "Whats with the green hair, Sporto? If you're trying to do the "incognito" thing, you might want to try red." (I have red hair n was just joshing around not knowing who these guys were). Vince started laughing and asked if I knew who they were. I said, "Let me guess...big rock stars and you n your green hair are hiding from the crowds of screaming stalkers n freaky people!" (More laughter) he answered, "Rock stars, yes, hiding from fans -never, we love all our fans. Without them, we wouldn't be rock stars!" (They joked around with each other saying, "You wish you were a rock star" blah blah n turning to Vince, I said, "Well damn glad to meet ya, Rock Star!" We talked n joked a little more , and they left. During the silliness, I forgot to ask who they really were.. Strange enough, Two days later, I seen Vince and his green highlighted hair on VH1 doing a short interview. It was MOTLEY CRUE! Truly, nice, normal (off stage) guys all of them. ROCK ON GUYS! YOU'RE A GREAT PART OF ROCK-N-ROLL HISTORY!

    I believe the band gives Mic Mars a lot of credit. Speaking from the conversations. These guys are family. Nikki organized a surprise party for Mic to show him that he loved him so much, he had a portrait tattooed on his leg. Really Mic doesn't give a damn about being a rated guitarist. He lived a dream and an awesome life.

      Its mick...second he does want the credit...he says so himself in the cruefest outtakes..and just because the band loves him doesnt mean he gets the credit from anyone else

    Great interview. I have never seen this one before. Motley Crue has some great songs, and they were all written by Mick Mars. From "Too young to fall in love" to "She's Got the Looks that Kill" to "Shout at the Devil" to "Nona" to "Girls Girls Girls" to "Kick Start My Heart" etc... All of the hits were written by Mr. Mick Mars. Thank you Mick for all the great music.

    • @carolinevictory1414
      @carolinevictory1414 5 років тому +3

      No actually most were written by Nikki, for example, " Nona" is about Nikki's grandmother and how sad he was that he was too fucked up to go to her funeral...I love Mick but Nikki wrote most of the songs, I guess you could say Mick provided the backbone!🎸

    Interesting that they completely ignored their self titled album with Corabi. I know it is still probably a sore subject with Vince but it's part of the bands history. Having been a diehard fan since 1983, I refused to give the album a chance in 1994 because to me Motley Crüe could only be "my buddies Sixx, Mick, (Vince) and Tom". I said at the time they should have called the band something other than Motley Crüe. I boycotted the band and the album. With time though, I was able to listen to that album with an unbiased ear and what a great album it is. Hooligan's Holiday is just a stellar track and to this day one of my favorite Crue songs.
