Came back to this category to grind a better run than I did before. This one is PB by only 1 second...
Played on real Genesis Model 2, using 3 button controller (I think...) and original Streets of Rage 2 cartridge.

the low HP of enemies on lower difficulties is so satisfying, it makes me wish mania mode just increased their speed and aggression instead of giving them extra health bars lol

There was a hack made by gsaurus for a speedrun event over bradyo's channel, called Long Johnson Cup, and I think it does exactly that: It has Mania amount of enemies and their behavior, but the healths are V.Easy.
