The cake was delivered to the rehabilitation center where it was enjoyed by my Mother and by many care-givers who care for senior citizens. Your creation brought joy to a lot of people in Texas yesterday. Thank you very much.

Six layers of chocolate cake - I'd need two forks to eat it with! When I saw the thumbnail, I thought the cake was covered with blue fondant, and maybe the decorations were fondant as well. I'm glad it's buttercream - fondant tastes nasty and would ruin the flavor of the chocolate cake. And I've been making cakes for a long time, but I've never had enough manual dexterity to pipe all those complicated vine things. Lovely!
@@hanulhope Fondant doesn't taste very good, but it's useful for various visual effects. I have never tried to eat cake with chopsticks, although it sounds as if it would be rather messy.
When I think of Maison Olivia I think of THIS beyond EPIC CAKE. (not to mention that cream, light blue and rich chocolate brown is my fav colour combo)

You are right. Fondant taste way too sweet and i hate that.
We Korean are into buttercream.. fondant is not our thing when it comes to cake because we eat our cakes with chopsticks and not fork..
