- In this full-length interview, Russell "Big Block" Spencer states that although he is primarily associated with Atlanta hip hop, he spent several years of his childhood in Los Angeles because of his family ties there. The iconic businessman then discussed what it was like to grow up on both coasts and do a 4.5-year prison bid for involuntary manslaughter. He then talks about meeting 2Pac's sister at a nail salon, upon his release from prison, which eventually led to a meeting with 2Pac. In a shocking revelation, he also shares that 2Pac's mother, Afeni, is the one who helped him land his million-dollar record contract with the same guy who signed her son. He also talks about what it was like to lose 2Pac on the same exact day that his daughter was born.

Sad how people call him a good dude when he neglected one of his children because he didn't care for what her mother did back in the day. Make it make sense to me, please. I'm sure some deadbeat will try or some groupie. Let's be clear as well. I'm not saying Kandi is a saint. He was wrong from beginning until now. She was wrong for sleeping with someone, knowing he was in a relationship with another woman. Reality, though, happens all the time.
This man is a liar. He literally said she never kept her away from me but I never went and got her bc of my situation. I am sure that is why he was put on child support. Read between the lines ppl. He's full of it.

I think the situation was... he already had a marriage/long-term partner and kids. He got Kandi preggers on the side. It's not right, but I think that's what it was.
@truthtube1000 that's exactly what it was. Not right for him to treat the baby wrong or still speak on its mother when she doesn't speak on you.
Wth does Kandi’s income have to do with his responsibilities?! Furthermore, he keeps bringing up the fact that he had a family when he got with Kandi as if that somehow made Riley less worthy of equal treatment, less of a priority, or an excuse to deprive her of a relationship with her sperm donor.
I don’t know anything about Kandi’s current relationship, but man…it’s gotta be a MASSIVE improvement over this super bum.

No matter what he feels he’s accomplished, he will always be a deadbeat father to Riley.
I don’t care if Kandi is a trillionaire… he chose not to financially support the child he helped bring into the world and chose not to be there for her. He’s a loser.
I’m glad my father is nothing like this man and I’m glad there are still millions of other men out there who do right by their kids.

I have a father who was and is the best father in the world from the time I was born to today, so there’s no excuse for a man to be a deadbeat.

Big Block good interview, you revealed facts about the industry that I didn't know.
That explains why Jazze Pha & T.I. were on Better Dayz. They did a great job on that album tho. Especially for working with rough draft unfinished songs that were left behind. It gave us a glimpse into what Tupac might have sounded like on modern productions. I didn't like how they moved Tupac's vocals to the upbeat on "Mama's Just a Little Girl". He wasn't riding the beat the same as the original.
"Ride On My Enemies" was way harder than the original.
