The Rotel RAS-5000 is a class AB amplifier. It is rated to deliver up to 220W per channel at 4Ω and up to 140W per channel at 8Ω. Just like all Rotel amplifiers, the RAS-5000’s circuitry sports an array of close-tolerance capacitors and components to deliver a superior sound quality.
At the heart of the amplification circuitry is a massive linear power supply featuring a custom toroidal transformer and other low-noise premium component to deliver impeccable sonic performance across all frequencies.
To optimise signal conversion, Rotel integrates a premium 32-bit/384kHz Digital to Analog Converter from ESS. This delivers true audiophile-grade music playback capabilities.
For input connectivity, Rotel RAS-5000 integrates coaxial and optical input with SPDIF LPCM support up to 24-bit / 192kHz resolution. This is followed by a PC-USB Audio Class 2.0 input that supports Master Quality Authenticated i.e MQA and MQA studio and up to 32-bit/384kHz playback support. These are followed by an ethernet port for internet connectivity, a USB A port, and an HDMI port with eARC support. The amplifier also has RCA aux in, pre out and sub out to connect to an external subwoofer. The Rotel RAS-5000 sports output terminals to connect your speakers.
For wireless connectivity, the amplifier integrates WiFi, Bluetooth with Qualcomm aptX™ and AAC encoding, Airplay 2, Google Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and Roon for high resolution streaming.
On the front panel, you’ll find a large jog dial for volume, source selection and menu button, a large colour display and headphone output for private listening.
