Hi Bill. You've done a lot of work and have a great game plan. Looking forward to finally meeting you and seeing how you put your plan to use. Talks soon my friend.
Hey Bill, We think and collect so much alike! Almost all of the cards you showed are on my hit list to grab someday. Your approach to price ranges is also close to how I think about it. Can’t wait to see what you end up grabbing!
hope to see you in Cleveland!!!!..love Hank Aaron!!!!!.. take away every home run Hank Aaron ever hit, He still is over 3,000 hits for his career.. great great baseball player and an even better man. what an exciting player to add to your collection!.. Jonathan..aka the Boston kid
Man, you are prepared! I am so excited for you and can’t wait to hear all about it! My hope for you is to get the Aaron rookie, but they are all great cards.
What a gameplan! I'd need a similar approach if I ever went ,or my head would explode. Just grabbed a Pete Rose RC last month ,hope to have it in hand next week. Also, I have 2 1968 Topps Bench Rcs being graded right now. If you miss out on the Johnny, I'll have an extra copy. Probably will be somewhere between a 5-6.5 after grading . Great breakdown with the logic and numbers you showed. Great strategy, Bill!
@@blixcards Thanks my friend. I need a list like this to keep me from going all over the place. Now I need to make sure I use it! Congrats on the Rose, I can't wait to see it. I may have to take you up on one of those Benchs, we'll see how it goes at the National but I'll definitely keep you in mind if I don't snag one there. Thanks again.
I was surprised to hear that you are going after a Gretzky rookie, I had no idea you were into hockey cards. That card is top on my list for the National but going after a O-Pee-Chee version which I am kind of torn on because I could probably go 2 grades up with the Topps version in my budget. I think the Topps are higher production quality but we all know that O-Pee-Chee demands higher prices in hockey cards. 99% of my graded hockey cards are O-Pee-Chee so I really want to stay there but may come home with a higher # topps version. Decisions,Descisions!
@Tim.K.1976 That's a good problem to have. I thought about an O-Pee-Chee but thought I would have a hard time finding one with an eye appeal that I liked with my budget. When I first started my channel, it was called Stlpuckhead. I'm a derelict. I want the major rookies in baseball, football, basketball, and hockey that I can afford. Good luck with your Gretzky hunt. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@billyballgamesportscards I'm the same way with my collecting except for basketball that's the one sport I have never really been into but like to play it.
@keithsmith3159 It very well may! I have to remind myself to use my list. If not, I'll get over whelmed and try to choose between about 47 thousand cards. I get excited about everything, that's why I need a list!🤣 Thanks for watching and commenting.
I’m just saying…there is the 48 Musial, 59 Gibson, Goudey Hornsby and then everything else. If you buy 1’s and 2’s you’ll get more cards. Gretzky left us high and dry in STL, and yes I know Keenan is a douche. Cubs cards? Sarcasm and jokes aside good luck!
Thanks, Jon. I appreciate you watching and commenting as always. From the standpoint purely as a Cardinals fan, I completely get your point. The reason I have Aaron, Clemente, Koufax, and Gretzky higher on the list just comes down to the amount of cash I have available. I figure it doesn't happen often that I have this much money to spend on cards, so I thought I'd shoot for some of the bigger cards. Those 3 Cardinals cards will definitely be in my collection. The sooner, the better. Thanks again, my friend.
@@billyballgamesportscards it’s your money and collection. I enjoyed the video, but had to be a homer at the same time. I keep on plugging the Musial because it’ll be cool to be 48 Musial clubbies as @vintagesanctuary would say.
@jon-eriksuermann9844 No doubt Jon. It's definitely one of my top tier 2 cards. I could come home with the 3 big Cardinals cards and be ecstatic. We'll see what happens. I could end up with a card that's not even on my list like a 33 Goudey Dizzy Dean and a T206 Walter Johnson.😂 There are so many cards that I want!
@@billyballgamesportscardsthe Dean would be really cool. I have the 4in1 with him and Frisch in my collection because it was cheaper than either of their cards. I have 49 Ozzie cards left on my checklist, 3 Musial bowman/Topps cards, 59 Boyer home run derby, and 48 red bowman at the top of my list. Maybe I’ll make the national one day to track some of these down. Definitely jealous of y’all that can go.
@@jon-eriksuermann9844That 4in1 is a great card! You have a lot of Ozzies, he has SO many cards, that's very impressive. I hope you can make it to one I'd love to meet you. Are you in Saint Louis? If you are we should link up at a show there one day!
Great game plan for the National!! Good luck in finding these treasures to add to your collection!!
Much appreciated, Ken. I can't wait!

Thanks, Stephen. Same here. We are getting close!
Great list. We have a lot of the same cards on our list. I love the idea of a tier list. I’m stealing it!
Thanks a lot. You're welcome to! I'm glad to be of assistance.

@vintageonvintage817 Thanks, Steve! They are great cards. I hope you can start knocking some of them off your list.
This is such a great list, strategy, and analysis for how to attack the National. I’m looking forward to hanging out in Cleveland.
Thanks, Graig. I really appreciate it. Can't wait to talk to you in person. Thanks, my friend.

P.S. Looking forward to meeting you there, happy hunting!

Have a great time at the National. Some day i hope they move it to Atlanta or Charlotte or Nashville.
