Yes you can mash it with a masher instead
What can you eat this soup with?
If I don't have yam can I use potatoes
Can I use cocoyam powder/semo paste as thickener
Itakpe Juliet I’m not sure about the Semo paste however the cocoyam powder should work. Try it out using a little quantity first
Yam is the best thickener. Any other thickener doesn’t give it the same taste
There is this special taste that yam gives it so yam is the best thickener for nsala precisely
Where can one get this ingredients on the island?
what is that thing you are calling ogiri..is it okpei?is it good to use uziza seed?
I soooo love your Channel
Ola Olu Thank you Ola 😊
can I use achi to make dz soup
You can used Achi but Achi is used in cooking different types of soup. But Achi will thicken it too but different taste.
Plus is it normal yam or those small yam they use for bitter leaf soup

Nooo
You can dissolve in water or grind with crayfish
Thank you, it looks super easy. I wanted to ask, is okpei the same as iru?
Can a pregnant woman eat it,at her early stage
First time I tried my white soup it came out so butter😢

udoka agness Yes you can bug you’ll also need some stock to give the soup some taste and flavor
All kept thing was, how was I gonna chew the goat meat that was cooked anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes 🤔
Can you tell me the spice mix?
Can one use cocoyam instead of yam for the ofe nsala .

@ Miracle- the dried ogiri is smoked and has a different flavour but you can also use the wet one. Hope this helps.
