My roommate makes me crazy and I mentioned the slamming of the door and she looked at me like she was as lost. It’s like common sense . Show respect. She doesnt get that it’s rattling my windows and my bedroom door ! Sounds like its lamming too! Just because she’s slamming the garage door my bedroom door sounds as though it’s slamming ! And it’s shut ! The most annoying part is she opens and closes the door over and over at least five or six times in 30 seconds and this is not an exaggeration. God help me

My old roommate use to do that, no matter how many times I've told him, he still let's his door slam and just had no common courtesy and respect... I prayed to God that he would either grow or move out, he moved out within a month 😅

Thank you for this. My downstairs neighbor has been driving me crazy by constantly slamming the main door to our building and it literally rattles my whole apartment. I work from home and have a dog who is sensitive to loud sound. So, hopefully one of these can work.

Drat! I was like aha! I'll install weatherproofing and then I can just tell my roommate that I care about heating efficiency, which I do. But then I checked out the door and... its fully weather proofed with some serious professional stuff. Somehow my roommate is still able to shake the entire house when they close the front door. Herm.
Seach "door closer" on Amazon or home depot and you should find one there that should prevent the door from slamming and shaking the entire house. :)

I live in a flat with 2 other flats. I'm on the ground floor by the main front door. The door is fine when shut, apart from when one one resident shuts it. She slams it like she hates it. Anything I can use on her, rather than the door?

where exatly do you put the weather stripping foam? on the frame of the door itslef all around?
how about bathroom doors? mine has this very loud click if you don't turn the knob before closing the door, if you close the bathroom door without regularly it will make a loud click

I just wish there was a soft close door hinge. Why the hell don't they? I've installed plenty of self closers in commercial applications or exterior, but not for interior....
The door silencers won't exactly work with residential door jams.. and if so, you'll have to move the door jams back 1/4"...
Out front door slams shut by itself sometimes when it’s windy and I’ve been super worried about my small puppy following me and getting the door slammed on her.
I know she would definitely be killed or very seriously injured if this happened.
It’s become a very big fear for me, to the point where I stress if someone else looks after her.
