That kid grew up real fast !
Great observation...actually I did not think of that...
That kid going out the door without anything to remember at the end would have been a perfect ending to the story. None the less very good video both in terms of editing and product showcase.
Time travel bruh 😁
May it took so many years to fix...😂🤣
Please do not like this comment anymore it has 69 likes for now.
I’m a DIY guy. Never seen these before. I think they’re a good inexpensive solution for many people. Thanks for the video. Very useful. (Don’t let the negative comments bug you. You’re doing a great job.)
It's also less complicated. 😌
I've seen people doing it also by using a water bottle, scissors, ball of yarn, ext. But this method is more simple.
I'm afraid one day that spring would jump out, and hurt someone
Hoping that one day will not be tomorrow
My grandparents had these on their house, probably still from the 1950's or so. The exception was the old wooden screen door out back, where they they were incorporated into the springs. They worked well. I think my grandfather had installed longer hinge pins though.
Grandpa is smart to change the pin for longer one. Cuz as it is now is dangerous.
I think the pin should be replaced with a longer one to complete it . Otherwise you have the lower part unhinged.
That is what i was thinking. Over period the pin slowly comes of as we use. with something like this, it might come off and we may not notice as it might be hidden.
I bought this spring for my garage 2 the laundry door & I had 2 put it on all 3 hinges because this door for my garage 2 the laundry door is very heavy & haven’t had flies since!! Whenever I go grocery shopping and have my hands full therefore I just can’t shut the door fast enough & the fly sneaks right in! Ever since I got this spring & installed on all 3 of my hinges I haven’t had flies since!! Love this spring!! I highly recommend it to anyone for any of their doors in their house! Esp. if ur house is a fly fest.
I agree with several other comments. Replace the hinge pin with a longer one. Make sure the pin goes thru ALL of the pin holes.
Enough tension to close the door, not enough to slam it.
Very nice.
To avoid the risk to kids as well as to ensure perfect working of soundless closing if door, use a hydraulic door closer instead. These make shift short cuts or cheap alternatives are not worth to depend upon.
Exactly. This sprint generates the cracks in between wall and door frame.
These are perfect for Seniors with zero kids residing. My Smart Granddaughters can be taught how to use wisely.
Great Video Offering.
They make hinges that do this. It's a much more elegant solution.
Thank you for a nice presentation and being humble.
Self closing hinge works better
Replace the whole hinge in the middle and you can. Adjust the tension
Omg what an awesome idea. So simple yet so effective hey. Thanks 🙏 for the vid.
Simply a simple genius 😊👍...
Thanks for this, I had not seen them before.
I think I would use them on shed or outbuilding doors because of the aesthetics and potential scratching or grooving issues.
I am not sure if i saw this or not before but thanks for the shot out to my channel. FYI mine is still working just fine after all this time.
Nice one thanks for sharing your idea.
To me the spring hole looked too large. It can easily fly off and hit something. I rather have a version that you have to take the pin all of the way out and reinsert it. Maybe use a washer at the top.
Thumbs up for that thumbs up at the end
I'm not looking down on this, but I need to verify with my own eyes that all my doors are closed, but best wishes for a successful resolution!!
It worked thanks for sharing I need this one for my front and back door
Yes! The laundry room door!
Ideal for those who can't afford a proper door closer....😊😊😊 I don't think moving out just one knot of rod will compromise with the durability of the hinge...the spring used here is the same type used for mouse traps....!!!
I agree. The negative comments aren't productive. Yes, a washer on top of the spring. Yes, a longer hinge pin, but, seriously - it's a very inexpensive, non-destructive solution to a real problem.
Thanks for the video.
The perfect gift for my father !
You got a banging door everytime.
Thanks brother.
Great 💡 idea
EXCELLENT diy installation video
Thanks 👍
Use the door key🔑 as locket in case if you locked🔒 out accidentally. You can make the locket keys of Gold Or Platinum. Alternatively put a spring stoppers so that a door shall only locked once hard pressed.
Loved this, thank you
Very good explain
Great idea ,👍👌
Thanks man
As a father of a 6 year old boy , I can say without hesitation this could be the Greatest invention of generation ! ,, And I'm sure it's already there but if not , throw a quick before/after 15sec vid on tictok.
👌👍😎. Good idea.
Nice. If you install it on the lower hinge it would be more discrete.
Tks
PHILIP!!!!!!
Glad you choose not to get rid of him.
Lets hope he doesnt 'accidently' lock himself out 😉
Jk😘
Great video.
I learn alot
I use spring loaded Door Hinges. A little more money but safer. 👍🏾
Well that inventor of that door closer..made a mint
Thank you!
If it works loose it may present a projectile danger.
Super Idea
Bon bgy zanmim
Great job dear
Yes man !
I really like them. They break too easy though. They send part of the spring across the room at a bullets speed. I'm thinking of getting a couple more because i'm the only one in the house that closes doors. I'm torn.
BTW 1 out of 9 are still working.
after 3 months, if the spring rezist or not be snaped itself , the wood panel of the door will have a great groove in it. Use a hydraulic door closer or go to a car skrap yard and look for a pneumatic piston which is used for pushing up the hood or hayon back door of the car.
It lasted 16 months. No damage to the door because I used padding. Yes, your predictions seem accurate.
May God bless you bro
I’d find myself locked out !!
Thanks i did not know about this.
Thanks bro
They shud supply a longer bolt with...cos its actually not bad...
Good job
Keep on bro
dude thats good idea!!
nice video thanks for info
Loved your presentation 🙏🙏
lot's and lot's of love from India 🙏🙏
Brilliant 👏 take my money 💰
perfect
Bueno trabajo
Bon bagay fanmi
Good stuff🤠
I never seen this kind of easy to install door closer, they should have included 1" longer replacement stud with the pack because pushing up pin you are compromising door hinge.
Nice 👍👍👍
Nice bro!
Tank bro
Amazing 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌. Watching from Dubai United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪
BRAVO, 👏🏽THANK YOU GOD BLESS 🙏🏽👑🌹👏🏽💯🎉
Very nice bro
Super.
that spring needs to be half the roundness of it.. its to wide but a good idear
good job bro
1: hinge will damge, it will impact on door function.
2: door will close suddenly it will make a loud noise.
3: due to sudden load may injury to fingers especially kids if they playing near the door.
4:Torsion spring load will reduce shortly bcz it will expand to its max.
5:if in case spring will slip out it will injury to human or kids.
Consider all these points while doing a concept.
I agree with you.
I also agree that this is a "Mickey Mouse" fix. Good in concept, but not in reality. The hinge shaft is going to eventually deform and bend without the rod all the way through it. Longer hinge pins are easy to buy or make. There are also spring loaded hinges that are easy to install. The spring loaded hinges are usually installed on the door between an attached garage and house. They are even code in some places for safety reasons. Honestly, there are much better and safer ways to make a door close automatically.
That is all correct but it is a very cheep solution for this issue we must remember too
Very true
Absolutely agree with you. That's why damping needs to be there, like spring damper combination.
dangerous bro! maybe you wanna zip tie the spring to the hinge (not tight), just in case the spring snaps out of its place.
I like it
if i were in his place, i would put a nylon or plastic bushing inside the spring and hinge pin for stable and better result. as for myself, i have place a curtain spring tying from middle of door frame to the lower corner of the door.
Great
Nice video mate
Excellent🌴👍
Good
Verry nice
If the spring slips, it will create serious injury.
This is good i❤it
Nice it is good
Really nice idea I didn't know something like that exist I've been inventing a thing like that with a wire hunger but to close the door do you think that would work? And thank you for video!
Philip walkin out to pop some caps yamsain?
Merci pour bel video sa oute pote pou nou an
Cool beans
Close the door vs Bang the door😂😂
After 2 days frame start to shake....😊😊
Door closer need latching options timing adjustment etc..witjout that cant put in main areas.hitting sound.may come
No no no...9months later, mine is still strong and no issue with Philip not closing the door after him.
Super
Yeah that looks completely safe.
I also agree.
Great solution. Especially if you have pets and children!
Bad idea if you have pets and children,
Use hydraulic ones.
I'm not doing all that my kids just gonna close that damn door when they come in and out..😂
Good luck with that
Very nice 🇮🇳
weldone bro
nice video
