Seeing someone get a trim or haircut is so satisfying to me. It's something about watching those dead, split or damaged ends go.
The first girl’s cut and color are very fitting on her; however, if she is starting a healthy hair journey, I’m not sure that color is the best thing so early in her journey.
It's better to do it earlier
@@TheResilient1 exactly! I waited until I cut my hair a little less than an inch long before I bleached it platinum. If I'm going to damage it, I'd rather damage it short than long. Less risk, easier fix if something goes wrong.
It's actually best to do it early while you have little hair rather than damaging your long lengthy hair .
Or just not dye it at all..
@@ArianaMMR , True cause they can just use color wax instead . It's still dye but no bleaching and is healthy for your hair .

@@desiraer.3165 I live in FL. Most of the beauticians I visit can't trim my 4c Afro ends UNLESS I have a silk press. I NEVER had a silk press since going natural in 2010. I am waiting until 2020 (10 year Afroversary) to get a silk press. However, I am concern about my split ends😕😕!!
Shantia Blackmon you have a legitimate concern. I’ve been natural and have finally faced the music about it. I’ve ‘dusted’ my ends in their natural state but nothing feels better than after my hair has been trimmed when it’s straight. The problem is, it’s very hard to differentiate between split ends and healthy strand when your hair is kinky. Fairy knots are easy to pick out but it’s not until you press the hair that you can clearly see what you needs to be cut off. Unless you have a master eye, you need to straighten your hair first and then clip the ends for the best results. Also, for an even trim, the hair should be straightened (unless you plan on wearing it curly...like a deva cut trim) because you can have various curl patterns and therefore a curly trim not be as effective than if your hair was straight. Hope that made sense 🤷♀️😊

For the longest time I held onto my length, but it just was NOT healthy. I ended up chopping it off out of impulse because I was over the damaged part. First few cuts in I freaked because it was the shortest I have ever had my hair. I don’t regret it because my hair is healthy now. I just need to be patient like my last time transitioning from heat damage. This time it was due to chemical damage from dying my hair so much. I’ve never dyed my hair before (first time I was 24 so I definitely had fun with the colors during that time). I got all of that out of my system so just letting my hair glow as it grows inch by inch 😊💯💯

Femi9 HEY HEY💛 so it’s been 5 months and when I cut my hair it was out for 2 months then I got braids and kept those in for 3 months and man my hair has grown so much🤩 so glad I cut off those dead ends when I did

I agree get rid of that dead hair so your hair can continue to grow healthy. I cut all my hair off in may 2018 and it growing back to where I had it before. Unfortunately I've been so stressed that i had hair fall out which made a fair size bald spot in my hair. So said. I just got my rebraided and happy that I found someone to clip my ends. I use to worry about the length so I didn't want the stylist to cut too much, now I'm like just cut it. Its hair it'll grow back....I hope lol
Sadly my mom wants to take me to a professional and idk why she just won't try it herself like I'm tired of waiting to the point where I just wanna grab scissors and do it myself (I'm 21 but idk if she'll hate it if I do it myself cause it's a decision that's been on my mind a lot lately)

But ever person would not want to take a big chop to grow natural they would just put weave in and Make sure that your hair is clean and grease it so it can be healthy and long so I would not prefer the big chop unless your hair is short that it would not grow with any products this is my opinion like is you agree lol if you get my point we're I am coming from
