It shows how in New York you have to be really valuable to become made, for example Joey Peeps and Billy Leotardo weren't even made when they died, unlike New Jersey where not much bright crew members with addiction and unstable character became captains, llke Chrissy, Vito, who is a fag was captain too, Carlo was stupid enough to kill New York captain Fat Dom Gamiello and they didn"t at that time know if he said to Phil or Butchie or Gerry or any other guy from NY that he is gonna go to Satriale "breaking bones about Vito there" , if they knew they would be wiped out totally , in New York guys like Benny or Little Paulie wouldn't never be considered for made men and Chris too, who without Tony protection would be dead without any serious consideration that they will make him made.

he could have gotten away with regular civilian university partying shit, partying and frats and lil bit of drugs, but the second he tries to be a wise guy and get involved in criminal shit it's game over in tony's eyes
Apart from dating his daughter and the pledge to his father, I've always wondered if Tony saw a bit of himself in Jackie Jr. and saw him going down the path he went down as a younger man.
To Tony, Christopher was nothing more than a helping hand in his criminal enterprise! Someone who he could use to do the dirty work but never respected! Just like hooahs and criminal partners, their worth would expire at some stage and he would discard them! Jackie though was different! The early conversations suggested that Tony deep down knew Jackie would end up on the wrong path but seemed to genuinely want to help him and warn him from messing his life up! And then once he began following his uncle around, it was all downhill from there!
Just another example of T's endless hypocrisy, kid wasn't doing anything really wrong, or anything HE wouldn't do himself. But Tone acts like he caught Jackie stealing from his mother or something. Chase did a good job illustrating the type of hypocrite personality a guy like T would have.
Tony did that because he knew the exact path and dealings that Jackie was getting himself involved with, and was trying to stop him from becoming just another thug. At the end he caught the man with a gun and about to fuck a stripper...Tony knows. Yes it's hypocritical but a lot of youths need that type of tough love to stop them from fucking up.

I like how in the show Tony always pushed Jackie to go to medical school. Jackie apparently dropped out because medical school was too hard. How about Jackie just go to school and get a bachelor's degree opposed to going to be a doctor? Nope let's just go live a life of crime.

The son of a boss, born with a golden spoon in his mouth, studying to be a doctor or something, college all paid for in blood money, nobody could touch him without facing some kind of consequences in their territory. He had absolutely no "in" with the soprano family because they all know he wouldn't make it.
But in the end that whole "my father" shit was over, life moved on and nobody cared about what his last name was.
Rules is rules, shoot a made guy, kill a friend of theirs and jackie got exactly what was expected.
Vito's fat ass in the projects that somehow jackie didnt see. lol
If he robbed that card game without shots fired, probably Tony would take him under his wing, or say Chris to do so
@@mariozd971 I doubt it but he may have gotten a pass
@@user-nh6oq8ut2t He would get a pass if shots weren't fired but Jackie Jr was idiot, they didn't resist at all, they could just take the money and leave, but he killed Sunshine and in shooting Furio was wounded near his balls, Dino Zerilli and Carlo were killed( Dino thanks to Jackie Jr who was such a coward that he took a car but instead of waiting his friend he decided to run asap, so he had to go. If shots weren't fired maybe Tony wouldn't accept him and in that case he would get a beating and serious warning from Tony not to do that again. Tony even said Jackie Jr when he was begging for mercy and saying that Tony robbed a card game too - "try to find a difference", it meant they just picked up money and all went smoothly, Tony too wouldn't got away if he shot and killed someone there. But Jackie Jr could pursur criminal career, Chris offered him a job, Ralphie took him to money collection and they kicked an ass of the guy. If he was patient, knew his place, be respectful and thankful to Ralph and Chris for givimg him jobs he thought just he was a son and nephew of deceased boss and capo he is entitled to everythimg. He should , like Benny for example go step by step, Benny was just a low level associate when we first saw him in season 3 and at the end of the Sopranos, season 6 he was on his way to become a made man, Walden too, for killing Phil, and there were other associates who knew they have to be patient like Walden, Terey Doria, Anthomny Maffei, Dante Greco, Jason Molinaro, Little Paulie( problem with him he's too goofy but like uncle Philly said they make everyone 😂😂😂), we see in season 6, made men became Burt Gervasi who was already at least 50 years old and Gerry 'Hairdo' Torciano who was probably Chrissy's age when he was made but serious gangster even before that.

The Boston Strangler was a great character, they really should've done more with him
The best part of Borko's compilations is that it pieced everything linear. The fact that I just saw Janice say "A Soprano and an Aprile..." just like foreshadowed her and Richie's relationship
That's why he's got the top spot.
That's why he's acting boss
Yes, it foreshadowed Jackie and Meadow's brief relationship and subsequent breakup. Janice and Richie had already happened and were finished way before she said that. Not a grammar nazi or being pedantic. Just wanted to point it out
What a waste...he could have had it all, a good wife, Tony's protection, a degree with a good job and respect. Very few people had Tony's actual respect throughout the series and Jackie Jr. was one of them for a short time. Tony was good to him and he threw it all away for nothing
When you put it that way, Jackie Jr. appears to be the dumbest shit in the universe.
"Have you heard the good news?"

Can you do a video on when Tony helped needy families get housing?
Fact Check: Edgar Allan Poe was born in Boston on January 19, 1809. Poe lived in the Bronx for 3 years, from 1846-1849. He did marry his 13 year old cousin but she died at age 23.

borko Thanks Borko, there was a couple three versions that I saw, I picked one. Salud Borko.
The fact Jackie never addressed Tony as Mr. soprano should have been a major red flag from the get go
Great put together. Thank you!
"It's not what you think" is low key one of the funniest lines in the whole series lmao
Tony did basically everything he could to keep Jackie jnr from turning out the way he did
Tony is a mob boss which are criminals, liars, cheaters, murders, and you expect him not to be a hypocrite? I don't understand some people's mind set.
@@Bigmojojo Wow you're stupid.....heh heh heh.
