    Looks much better.👍 My 97 silverado was the same way. I put 2" drop shackles in the rear, but still has a little rack. I wanted mine lower, it's 2wd. Some Chevy trucks have a ridiculous amount of lift in the rear to compensate for towing capacity.

    I have a 2019 and want to do the same but I'm wondering about 1 thing that worries me. I currently get anywhere from 32 to 35 mpg on the highway which I'm really happy about . Did this in any way affect your gas mileage ? I'm worried that if I level the front the truck wont be as aerodynamic. This is the same reason as I see you did a d left the air dam on where so many have removed it. Please let me know. Thank You

    They fixed it with the temp of the outside of the vehicle so it’s like a sensor now

    In the winter time, remote starting the truck turns on the heated seats, in the summer time, the fan blows, not on high to cool the vehicle down. Do what Judson Byrd said, "Don’t use it 5 feet away from the truck. Use it when you are leaving in 5 minutes".

    The desire to have your car "warmed up" is a northern thing. I live in Florida and love that it blows cold air in on remote start. I think this should be a setting in the system that you can select which you prefer.

    Mark, loving the videos. I have the same exact truck, 15' model. I have the same 2 inch rough country leveling kit, one of the first things I did to it. MAKE SURE you get a alignment, I didn't and within 1000 miles my front tires are shot. My next comment would be, for your next mod, remove that darn front bumper, it does nothing to help, and when I removed mine I saw no difference in gas milage, it gives the truck an entirely new bad a look its crazy. just about 10 screws and it comes off, they are a little bit of a pain. once I get a little more money to throw at my truck, I have been looking at the same tires as you as well as a exhaust, I saw those tail lights in the other vid and definitely need to get a pair for my truck. beautiful truck to say the least, looking forward to seeing some new videos and possibly even a wrap!

    Your heat is solely dependent on the temperature of the engine, so if you want to have it blowing warm air - you need to start it several minutes before you intend to ingress. I guess this isn’t obvious to the people that do not understand how their vehicle works.

    Pro tip, turn your heat on in the cold weather months. When you remote start the vehicle, it will be set to warn air, instead of cold. Also, make sure you remote start it at least 10 minutes before getting in. All cars need time to "warm" up.

    • @MarkBrenner
      @MarkBrenner  6 років тому

      michael valdez no I wouldn’t raise the truck any higher with the 265/65 there would be too much gap and would look funny in my opinion. I don’t rub on anything but my tires are factory upgrades that come with the all terrain x package. 255/65/17 street tires come with the all terrain w/out the X package. After a 2” level in the front you can move up to 265/70 and still clear

    Hey man, what happens when you use the remote start is adjustable. Look in your book. Right now with mine the remote start turns the heat and heated seats on high. Secondly, you level your truck and then show it off on uneven ground!!! Can't really see a difference from my view. Should show it on level ground and... would be really cool if you pulled into a dealership and parked it next to an unaltered Canyon for comparison. The leveling thing does bother me a bit mostly due to the way the drivers seat sits and moves. I'd have no issue with it if the front end of the seat would lift independently but it doesn't-even in the denali. I'd just worry about driving dynamics changing both empty and loaded because I like the way it drives now. Last thing- bit of a nit pick- I hate that all terrain tag on your truck. I hate all those tags and 4x4 stickers or Zr2 stickers, etc, especially when they don't match the color scheme of the truck. In fact, I hate the red GMC logos on mine and just got a can of black plastidip in the mail in order to sort that out...Hopefully to look like your GMC logo with the letters in black and the outer border still chrome.

    • @MarkBrenner
      @MarkBrenner  6 років тому +1

      Frank Grimm a future vid comparing a stock Canyon before leveling is a great idea. I can tell you though the kit made zero difference in ride quality, still rides factory. I’ve removed the Canyon letters and am fighting myself to leave the All Terrain stamps because it separates mine from other packages. In my area at least a Canyon is hard to come by and am yet to see even ONE All Terrain though I love the look of a badge-less truck. And I like plasti dip but make sure to use around 8 wet coats. Mine are vinyl wrapped gloss black. Never read a manual a day in my life but today might be a good day to start, the cold air in the AM is driving me nuts

Seems that there isn't much room for increasing it's performance.

    • @candyred3v
      @candyred3v 6 років тому +1

      The issue with that was that it was a centrifugal supercharger and they dont build boost till later in the rpm range. Need a positive displacement top mount and you'll get power right away. In that video they said if he had more space he might have caught it. Raptors get power fairly early in the rpm range
