how about how to deal with pressure in my life
Rickey Lo don't let them get to you. Be you and whoever says otherwise beat the shit outta them!
@@BltzZ or better yet, 2H.

One thing that wasn't mentioned but is very useful is holding down to delay your get up. you can catch them getting greedy and predict there next move if they start throwing before you get up.
Most definitely! I absolutely forgot about that one lol thanks man!
Holy shit...dude...that vid just released my potential. Thank you! I have a much better perspective of the game now. Subscribed.
+solarsaiyan that's what I'm talking about good stuff!!
This was the best "how to defend/get around defence" video I've seen yet. You explained everything without assuming knowledge but also without over-explaining.
Also, you showed gameplay examples without having them drag on like other youtubers do.
Keep it up, subbed.
Thank you so much man I'm glad the video was helpful to you! I'm working on a new one as we speak! All about conditioning your opponents and capitalizing off their habits
BltzZ I look forward to watching it!
Trunk’s destructive finish is absolutely unbeaten.
+Sonic13128 it's freakin beautiful. Really can't wait to see what future installments come from arcsys with this game
BltzZ I bet Broly’s finish will be a stage destroyer. Does that mean that we will get a new destruction color, which would be green? Cuz now we have yellow or orange, and pink. For Ki wave attacks we have blue and yellow. I can’t wait to see Broly in action.
It would be pretty awesome to see. With the amount of detail they put into this game already I can imagine brolys destructive finishes should be green. Refreshing as hell to be honest :). Hoping both trailers drop tomorrow
Its similar to beerus or android 16
Emil Serrano Jr. The giant shaft towering above trumps all
Nice video, i'm been constantly getting caught stepping forward trying to call in my next character so some more options really help until I get better at it. Simple, to the point and does what it says on the tin, pretty rare in YT vids this days nice job.
+Simon McCaffery hey man I appreciate that I'm glad it helped. For me I noticed my losses got reduced by a lot. By a huge amount too tbh
I don’t have fighterz myself but seeing you reply to most comments in this video is really cool
+Durim Gjinaj I just like helping out others and I love whenever there are questions and I can help people understand why something is the way it is. Just a thing I've always appreciated:)
This was the best tutorial I’ve found so far. Thank you!
I'm happy to hear this video is still helping many people out! Keep on practicing!
@BltzZ thank you for the video. Also thank you for speaking very clearly and to the point. It’s very nice to be able to watch a helpful video where the person speaking isn’t over the top.
Thanks man I'm so glad people are still finding these videos helpful. I make videos now about smash bros and call of duty.
But soon as we get more content for dbfz season 2 I will be back for that! Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already and stay tuned!
For Vegito, there's barely any opening if he's on you 😂
Your such an inspiration and god at this game I'm subbing, you a great UA-cam , keep it up you'll be 1 mil in no time!
Wow man that means a lot! I try my best to do what I can hopefully one day I get to god status! :)
Thanks for the vid. I didn't even think to wait for slow attack and reflect. I can put down some of the best combo chains, but when I get bullied in a corner I'm usually done. That is again
vicegealgood thanks man i appreciate helping you yeah don't let them bully you in the corner you gotta use reflect or throw out a normal in between to stuff them and put pressure on them! Be sure to subscribe for more dbfz tips I'm planning the make one every week!
Finally downloaded it. The Challengers theme was a good pick, and your outro was raw too. Now for a video on Beer Pong pressure lol
+jxristop lololl hellls yeah well film one tonight
Randomly watches a video see's myself 😮
+Thermidor lol small world eh? You put so much work on me in those matches. I appreciate it I learned a lot!
BltzZ lol this game is all about improving I'm no longer like I was in this video and pretty sure aren't either
+Thermidor yup same here man. I played this piccolo who absolutely wrecked me and inspired me. I watch that recording and study it every day lol. Going to upload that match eventually
"HI, Im Thermidor"?
it's literally a guessing game until u build fast enough reflexes to be ready for everything they could try, there's always a way out but sometimes it doesn't feel like it
hopefully in future versions of dbfz there are more ways to get out of the corner. A lot of it is to blame on latency online too
It’s basically a guessing game
In the corner
+Crucial Apex exactly. In time tho as you keep playing and see constant pressure it'll become second nature. That's why I don't care about the record in ranked. I'm looking at it as a learning experience to get better overall
coming and playing DBFZ made me realize why I never touched games like this. Very infuriating when you don't know what to do and to learn how to beat things you basically have to keep getting fucked by it until you figure it out. plus 2d fighting games are a bit too competitive when paired with how frustrating the games are when you lose. These videos help tho but I think I wont do online matches anymore
+Stuff it's tough I know I used to get frustrated so badly and even break controllers unfortunately lol. But I took a step back and decided I wanted to get really good at fighting games. Then I focused on what I can do as a player to keep my opponent in check and sometimes the best answer is to slow things down and analyze the situation.
It’s really not, most over head attacks are very react able and performed in the air, both forward medium and iAd heavy. Basically if you see your opponent jump they’re going for an over head or if their on the ground applying pressure they’re going low.
Stuff you have to fight the best to get better dudezexpect major ass beatings
BltzZ: That's by using our friend, the reflect
Videl: Am i a joke to you?
Really helpful. Nice music choice as well, budokai 2 was a gem😭😭
I agree! Those songs unfortunately were heavily plagiarized resembling lots of other famous songs :/ but all that says to me is the composer had great taste :) lol. Welcome to the channel bro! I haven't uploaded in about 3 weeks but I'm working on something as we speak!
That was a good tip I didn’t know of. If they throw a low heavy attack in the beginning of the string they can’t do it again in the same string.
bossea48 awesome man I'm glad you found it helpful! Always happy whenever someone learns something new, no matter how big or small
Awesome video man!
I swear everybody uses that Namek song from Budokai in DB game videos. I don't blame anybody who uses it though. It's like the best DB video game song to ever grace my ears. Lol Nice vid bro. Subbed.
+Nick Serrano hell yeah too bad the creator straight copied the song and a lot of the others lol. The budokai remake came with song not so epic song unfortunately. Thanks mann!
BltzZ Yeah I know. That's why I never bothered with the HD remake. (Who cares about Tenkaichi music?) lol Sometimes I play with no music in game and just use my speaker to play Budokai music while I play. Lol
+Nick Serrano lol this is a smart man I like this guy!
Nick Serrano my favorite was urban area and grandpa gohan in budokai3
Victor Bankhead Those were great. Another great one was toward the end of the game when you fight omega Shenron as ssj4 Gogeta.
This helped me out a lot!
Thx bro!!!!!!😎
thats what i love to hear! Rendering a vegito guide at the moment be on the lookout for that one tomorrow!
Keep up with the good work
I’m so dumb, I’ve had the game since release date and I had no idea about a gap being in between a down medium and a overhead. LOL. Thanks for the video brotha! Time for me to practice that.
No worries man I'm glad I helped to up your game!
Great video dude very helpful!
Hey I'm glad it helped man if you have any other questions feel free to let me know
Landing a reflect online is a bit difficult sadly, depending on how good connection is
Danny Glands unfortunately I agree it's some times tricky. But most players online have a combo pattern and never switch things up, if you find that pattern you can sometimes avoid it with spamming reflect and trying to follow up because they're still going go be mashing attacks lol
BltzZ Ive had some good players land reflects on me so Im sure I can get the hang of it with frame delay
Yeah definitely going to want to use delay in practice mode to get comfortable with anything for this game. The network overall is great but does have issues sometimes
Ultimate Gohan has CRAZY pressure everytime I think it's my turn to attack it's NOT.
He is an extremely tough opponent to deal with which is why im glad i main him lol. if he doesnt have any assist and did his light machine guns kicks you should be able to hit a button after. a standing light i believe. My friend does it to me all the time so i try to mix him up with EX kicks sometimes.
Your making me a god in FighterZ! Thank you
No worries bro you've always been a God :) welcome to the channel
Unlocked Awoken Skill - "Potential Unleashed"
I can see myself slowly improving, but it takes forever to find a match and I only just now faced someone my skill level. Everyone else was just bodying me so hard I didn't even know what I was doing wrong.
Locutus Borg try running some casual matches before ranked if you wanna test some things out or just get into a rhythm. There are a lot of good players on ranked right now. Also try playing at the optimal hours for your area. I stopped recording matches or even playing after 2am by me eastern because I get matched with players in demon rank and ssj3. I hold my own but I'm not there yet myself where I can counter all their options. Plus those players are good at mixing things up to keep you on your toes lol. And of course the connections gets booty matching up with far away opponents. Never fun!
I see what you mean, but that's exactly what I've been doing.
Even outside of that, I've had connection issues and this thing called EAC disconnect or something which says the other guy isn't "trusted."
Just luck of the draw I guess.
Locutus Borg damn I hope your not mapped with the other disconnecting players, that would suck. This game picks up if people rage quit or disconnect a lot. So it'll put those players in a box with others like them. Sometimes my Comcast acts up
I have a few disconnects, but have never ragequit. I don't know if the system will hold that against me.
That terrifying on the one had, but hilarious on the other.
"Oh you don't like losing? Here -- fight all the people who like to unplug right when you're about to win, you simpering sack of shit!"
I got pretty good at Xenoverse 2. I've beaten people in the top ten before who have 500+ hours of experience and no small number of hackers, and it took me about 200 hours to get that good. (I'd never played a fighting game competitively before then.)
The only reason I was able to do that was because of a guy I know who's a vet who pretty much gave me his fighting style.
That game isn't even one tenth as complicated as FighterZ, so it would be absurd to find myself satisfied with only 38 hours under my belt.
My team is 21, Kid Buu, and Goku Black. Got some combo's down for the waifu and figured out the timing for the double move steal combo, but it falls apart so easily in a match because I have to think.
It's not like Xenoverse when I know exactly what to do at any given moment and playing is really more like watching a video of myself.
Locutus Borg that's a solid ass team holy hell. Watch nakkiel for his kid buu play and assist usage. I think he's pretty solid. Goku black is just non stop fun for me but I think I may be swapping him out for tien. Unsure at the moment still experimenting.
Just learning this game, but I gotta say, It's very true about how much it favors offense. Any other tips on dealing with super aggressive play, or just a way to counter super-rush aside from the reflect?
Sorry what do you mean by ki rush? Super dash? You could Down Heavy it. It has invincibility on all aerial attacks. You can block it and go for a grab to set up an aerial combo to a hard knockdown and finish it off with a super. This games a lot easier once we figure out what we can do in different scenarios. That'll be the difference maker and it does take time! Glad you are playing the game. Trust me a month from now you won't even be close to playing however you do now. Styles are always changing and improving
Yeah, sorry. I meant super dash. Didn't know the proper name. But yeah, so far, most of what I try to do to get around super dash has ended up failing. Blocking and reflecting tends to give the opponent a chance to ki-blast or just go into their combo string, and I still haven't gotten used to the timing for throws. I had heard about down heavy to counter it, I just need to learn the timing of it for all my characters. I think my biggest annoyance is just that this is preventing me from really getting to play and learn Beerus and to a lesser extent Ginyu, since in the time it takes to set up a Sphere of Destruction or call out a Ginyu Force member, the opponent's already up and super dashing through it. There's also the "teleport behind them", but apparently mistiming that can get you hit by the rush anyways.
WakkaSeta the only full proof way as of right now is to down heavy them before the rush. You can sometimes connect the down heavy after if they throw out an attack after super dashing instead of blocking. If they go straight to block after super dash, grab should always work. If they back dash after, you can dash forward and grab as well. Try setting the practice dummy to super dash at you over and over again and work on the timing. It's all really muscle memory
I'll try that then, when I get the chance. I only really get to play this game at work when there's some free time at the moment, but it's been pretty fun so far at least.
Nice you play on pc? The recording feature in practice mode is your best friend. To find out if you can punish an attack your opponent set them to do an attack and jump immediately. Then on playback after you block the attack, try to jump as well. Whoever jumps first has the advantage and can throw out an attack. Little things
Thanks! Try to slow down when you speak, insert pauses, and use inflection in your voice. It was a bit difficult to follow unless I focused lol. Great tips though.
+mmikesell1 thanks man much appreciated! I always love feedback
When I play with my friends I suddenly gain ultra instinct when I'm being pressured. After watching multiple tips and tricks video.
Yeah boii! Keep surprising them in dbfz it's always a pleasure to help anyone out
Good video, it definitely helped. Can you perhaps give some advice on how to deal with opponent who like to hope around in the air? It's hard to catch them and they seem to be able to block super dashes pretty well, and are also accurate in getting an overhead that chains into a combo.
+Lightbringer most of those people who hop around the air use a stick and it's quite difficult to catch them but it's not impossible. Usually they have a tendency you can exploit. I played someone who would super dash at me and I'd block it because I wasn't quick enough to 2h sometimes. And they'd back dash or jump back mid air everytime. This way if you try to grab they can punish it in multiple ways. One thing that kept working for me and was blowing this guy up is I would time a vanish, if I had the bar, and hit the vanish button when they are in the middle of back dashing. Another thing you can do is simply chase them down after, while they are back dashing you should be able to dash forward and IAD (instant air dash) heavy kick them or hit grab mid air on them. They will usually block immediately after back dashing. And grabs usually blow that up! It's all about analyzing your opponents. Sometimes that won't work on a good player. They'll start to switch things up and put you in a bad spot :/.
Great tutorial. Upped my defense immensely... this is the 3rd dbfz vid I hear that song in. It's the best song I've heard in the game, but is it actually in the game? If so, what theme is this?
gangreen725 awesome I'm glad you found the video helpful! It's actually from the dbz budokai games on ps2 the song is called challengers. One of my favorites from those games. It was featured in each of the 3 games. They had some epic tracks. This game has so many good ones too.
This Video IS SUPER INFORMATIVE. i already knew everything you said in this video, but it was well said and every detail you gave, like understanding the patterns of players using the Foward medium (overhead) from players that go for max damage (down medium) was well said.
Im Making a tip video, Can i link this video at the end of my video to send my subscribers to this video?
Yeah man for sure go for it! I appreciate the support and I love helping others out
When I'm in the corner it feels like the universe hates me.
It's one of the worst in this game and 3v3 fighting games especially..but now with assists recharge times being nerfed things are slightly better but you still have to learn the defense fundamentals. It's rough even for myself when the offensive player knows exactly what your options are. Rewatch the replays and see what you could've done to get out. Or any opening that may have been there
@@BltzZ Sometimes I don't even touch the ground lol. But I've leard how to trip using a low guard medium.
i was about to say push block but you got it
Nice tips!
Welcome to the channel! I got plenty of dbfz videos that can help you out check them out! Although I am uploading smash and cod videos atm I will be back to dbfz soon as season 2 comes around!
@@BltzZ Thank you sir, I'm pretty new to fighting games myself I've some how gotten to Super Saiyan rank but I still get creamed 99% of games I play, oh a vid on how to play neutral would be superb!
One thing I recommend is going into practice and setting the dummy to randomly super dash. Practice down heavy to beat it consistently and then convert that into combos. No problem I'll definitely put together something about the neutral game. Good job man just keep playing and learning the matchups! What team are you using
@@BltzZ I'm sort of iffy on the team but I'll use either Bardock/Krillin as lead, Android 16 2nd then maybe SSJ Goku, I'm sort of familiar with Broly, Trunks, Vegito and Goku Black.
Not a bad team, my main team is 16 a.gohan and goku black. 16 is so much fun in this game man his playstyle is way too hype they did a great job in this game. Check some of my videos to see the combos I usually go for with android 16. Certain characters assist such as Gohan and pick them up after the pile driver! Cool stuff man! Be sure to subscribe so you dont miss out on future content
Damn this video really blew up man!
+manynukes11 I know man! It's super exciting
Nice ff7 ost remix at the end :)
TheGosu much appreciated man I love me some ff7 and old video game music :) can't wait for the remake!
YESSSSSS me too!!!!!
I'm still holding onto the fact that we may get more footage at E3 this year. Both that and kingdom hearts
How the hell do you do the overhead punch to break the low block ?!?!?!?! I always end up jumping to high.
MikailEmin 70 on the ground you can just press forward and the medium attack button. You can also Instant air dash and use the heavy attack button for overheads. That one will combo with standing lows
BltzZ lol tried for half an hour couldn't find it. Turns out its something as simple as forward medium 😂 thnx bro !! #subscribed
+MikailEmin 70 all good man took me awhile to figure out you can't combo off of it unless you time an assist properly lol
BltzZ thnx bro appreciate it !
I'm new to arc systems fighter games, I grew up playing Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, etc. I never played marvel vs capcom. Is it just me, or is Dragon ball fighterz just too fast to keep up with? I mean, I've put in lots of time in combo practice and story mode, but when I fight someone online, they almost effortlessly beat the crap out of all 3 of my fighters with a never ending string of combos. I'm thinking that I would have to devote like 12 hours a day to get that good at this game, what am i missing?
This game is insanely fast and it may seem like there are no gaps in between opponents strings but there are. It's difficult at first but the biggest thing about this game is knowing when is it your turn to hit a button. I still have this issue from time to time and the best thing i can tell you is watch when your opponent does a standing overhead. Which is forward medium. There is a gap before and after that move where a light attack either crouching or standing should hit. The game is fast as hell so identifying when to do a block string is difficult. In practice mode put the dummy to block at random and just practice block strings for awhile. And when you see a hit register try to initiate and finish a combo. It takes time but getting comfortable being In the corner is key. Find a annoying combo string your opponents keep doing. In practice mode set the dummy to record and initiate this string. And practice again and again when is the right time mid string to hit a button.
BltzZ thanks, I'll take your advice
I know this is the wrong video but I need help drastically: please respond.
When I perform a down heavy with an extended aerial combo my ‘super dash’ does not activate when I press it - instead a ki blast reacts as an input; I’ve tried without dashing and going straight into a down heavy but still doesn’t work - any tips?
+Dildo Shwaggins you can only super dash once in a combo. Unless you touch the ground again and have the assist launch them back up. Dragon rush combos you cannot super dash in them as well
BltzZ Thank you - I just want to clarify I do not dash after I launch the enemy in the air with a down heavy - I am able to launch after I wait for about a millisecond - unfortunately the opponent can escape I’ve seen other people dash and further extend their combo with me I wait and there’s a risk the opponent blocks.
Do you have any explanation for this I watched your aerial combo video but you didn’t speak about the dash specifically seems like I’m just in the wrong haha
+Dildo Shwaggins not a problem. Which character are you using and what is the combo you're trying to do?
BltzZ Goku - for instance... I would perform a light attack then assist, aerial combo launch down heavy into the sky - wait about a second then super dash... I honestly think it’s practice - I’ve got majority of bread and butter combos sorted but I need this right because I’ve been dropping to many combos
Thank you for your advice I’ll practice what you advised me to do
+Dildo Shwaggins hmm try this combo out. Down medium, medium, jump, light, medium, down heavy, super dash immediately, light, medium, Down heavy, jump auto combo square. Let me know when you get it
Great game u couldn’t ask more as a dbz fan
But the auto combo overwhelming it’s the same combo and I think they should just keep it a simple tap u do like on tekken
Part 2 will be more epic they got something good in this game
da'ved velazquez very true but there is a very dynamic use for auto combos. Mixing them into your aerial combos gives you higher air control and allow for longer extensions
From my experience, adult gohan is the *worst* when he pressures you, there’s no end to his hits
He definitely is an amazing character. I love him dearly lol
I have a question, if you're in the corner and the opponent is throwing out moves and at the end does a jumping heavy can you do a cr heavy to counter. Also, can you do anything after the opponent does a cr medium.
Crouching heavy counters all aerial attacks (minus aerial supers like kid buu) however it take a few frames to take priority. If their aerial attack is done quickly you won't be able to punish it with a crouching heavy. If your opponent throws out a crouching medium in the middle of their string you have to eat it and wait for their string to end. If they use it at the end of their string and do no cancel into a special move you can punish it with either crouching light or standing light. Never punish opponents on block with mediums. They're sometimes too slow
BltzZ damn you're right I've been mashing mediums while I'm in the corner for awhile. Thx alot.
All good man I'm glad to have helped in Anyway
Wouldn’t guard canceling be safety than just waiting for an opening for a tag? I mean they could reset on you in the corner
Yes it is, I didnt mention it in this video because i was trying to talk about things that the tutorial overall doesnt mention. The tutorial goes indepth about guard cancels early on which is why i didnt mention it
BltzZ alright! Thanks for the reply
not a problem! trying to get back into the saddle of making videos haha
Hey what's the theme music played throughout the video?
It's called challengers from the dragon ball budokai games :)
Yeah I need to use my deflecting more often. I got pressured at the corner super hard by a cell player. Basically trapped.
Cells corner pressure Is outrageous for sure. I often forget about reflect but it does absolutely help
BltzZ ikr?! I literally can’t do anything, I’m in an infinite pressure in the corner. But yeah thanks for the vid, definitely gonna try to push away a cell player whenever I’m in the corner.
Alltimefox the best way to improve and what I usually do in fighting games is go into practice with the character giving me problems. Learn their combos strings pressure etc. Use the record function for them to pressure me and try to figure out a gap. This way you'll know the ins and outs, sort of, of the character. Something to try out
BltzZ ah gotcha. Thanks I’ll definitely be doing that tonight. I’m already an Android in ranked so there’s a lot of tough opponents to face that I have to study hit, kid buu and cell players
That's how you do it man. Make sure to record or look at recordings of past matches to improve your gameplay movement etc too
woah I use trunks gohan and goku black in my team too.
I feel lik some characters can punish a super dash after a block while others cant. is that acutally the case or am I missing something? if it is idk why every character cant do that. it causes me to try it so many times and then get punished for trying to do it. I know you can uppercut during the super dash but sometimes I gotta block
+Stuff it depends on what your opponent does. For example if they are directly above you or at an angle and super dash you on block, you can punish that because they have a longer time until they can hit the floor. You can also punish a super dash if they try to throw out an aerial attack right after you block the dash. I'll make a video on that actually. You gave me a few ideas lol
Don't raw tags leave you succeptable to 2H or down heavy
2PacPRNDL yup but it's another way to tag in than trying to walk forward and press tag which let's your guard down
BltzZ hm I see, not to argue but if you're blocking and do the forward tag, you shouldn't be getting hit, people are probably timing to incorrectly because it should always work and is one of the safest ways to tag. Raw tagging is too dangerous in my opinion
Well its situational tbh, depending on what your opponent is doing is how you should be reacting so if they are nonstop offensive then forward tag will get you hit. Holding assist is just for those moments where you're stuck in the corner, i wouldn't recommend doing it if your opponent is just crouching and waiting for the 2H lol
BltzZ tru tru
I’m more of a open player I never rly pressure anybody
You gotta get in them cheeks sometimes man! Lol force them into bad habits and capitalize off their mistakes. Keep people on their toes. When you know they're going to reflect just drop the blockstring and go for a grab!
I hate it when they hit you and abuse the screen it's not even the end of the map and makes you bounce back then they dash and no room to recover
+Second Power hey it happens it's part of the game and they're pulling off a sweet mid screen combo. It's just the way this games mechanics work. As long as the combo counter is red and not blue, It's a true combo
What if you going against broly dbs😐
Hold on for dear life and throw out them reflects and immediately 2M
Bro what do you use? Dpad or your analog stick
Maze Trapz DPAD for all my fighting games. I can't stand analog misinputs lol. Analog is great for blocking crossups tho
fuck it! lvl 3 on overhead 4 life
Juan Karl especially with trunks!!! I get salty messages all the time lol
Thanks!
Not a problem man I'm glad you found it helpful! Now go out and win some games!!!
I highly don't recommend that switch method.... a smart player expects u to random switch.... Simple launch combo to Vanish to Grab to Snap..... best advice is not to get caught in that situation 😎 if u do get pressure , use Vanish to get out the corner
+ComptoneroRifa of course lol I do that same vanish to snap combo on players I'm expecting to full screen switch :). But It's a better option than quick change is all I was trying to say. And not as good as guard cancel, but ultimately easier to pull off for newer players
No disrespect but just wanted them to know the outcome of a random switch
not at all my friend!! I'm glad you mentioned it! Always best to know all possible outcomes, It's our jobs as opponents in fighting games to figure out the rock paper scissors of these games on the fly in matches or in practice mode!
Okay I'll try this
*gets brutally spammed by hit and ui goku in the corner*
I mean you gotta time the reflects and react with your own moves too. Lol this guide was released almost 3 years ago
Awesome
Michael Tran much appreciated!
You're welcome.
Nice video, but it's still hard to really time things when your opponent is throwing everything at you and the kitchen sink, I swear every person I play always have a damn Vegeta in they line up, I feel like the game is still unbalanced and needs alot of adjustments you have to almost literally be psychic to predict some of these rush downs. I love the game but come on people literally get 40 hit combos off of a vegetable assist.
Now you can deflect vegetas assist and your opponents approach even while blocking it. So no more easy lockdown pressure from vegeta
+BltzZ yeah that's true I'm able to defend against Vegeta but when he's teamed up with cell and buu it's hard cause cell have alot of Lows
Cell is a really tough matchup for myself as well. Only thing to do against him is go into practice mode and set the dummy cell to do insane blockstrings and learn when to punish and how to block. That may be my next video. Teaching people how to use practice mode
Yeah also I was deflecting Buu's attacks and he can literally rush break through with his leg extension attack smh I'm like bruh really??? I try to keep playing and playing to get my eye hand coordination down but it's hard.
The thing you gotta get used to is pressing reflect only once and immediately following up with a punish on your opponent. Like once you reflect one time immediately press down medium to punish their following attack
imma send this to my friend who cant stop complaining about this
+Don't read me k lolll it's a process. The games still new so defensive options are key to learn from now! Hopefully he finds it helpful
Nice video
Thanks man much appreciated
The problem I have is even when I'm blocking and I don't press any buttons I still hit. Like I know the opponent is going for the low, I block low and then I still get hit.
+Ricardo Borges sometimes you have to be really precise with the blocks. Like in this game you have to be pressing down and back at the same time to block low. Just pressing down won't block low. It's like that in injustice
BltzZ yeah I know that but there's something about that really bothers me that I know u blocked that move. I even asked some friends or people i meet with that tell me the same thing.
BltzZ also idk if there frame data in the game that could tell me what's safe or not because that's a another problem I have, not know what's safe or not. There's some moves that look punishable but aren't and I get punish by it.
+Ricardo Borges I've seen some data documented on this website dustloop. But not for all characters unfortunately. Check and see if it helps
+Ricardo Borges there are a lot of things in this game that are safe that shouldn't be. It's lame but the process for us to figure it out is to recreate the scenario in practice mode with the trainin dummy record feature. And just see when can you interrupt their pressure or which moves are safe etc
Honestly I could really win if they did not squeeze me into a wall I’m crushing them but they use that and I lose so thank you at first I was like how am I suppose to beat them and it does not feel like a dbz fight anymore anybody else goes through the same thing leave a like
Subbed
+Angel Rodriguez hey thanks man really appreciate you joining the channel! Let's improve together!
Gotta disagree with the hard tag! Cooldown is a joke after one of them.
fluidmike all good I agree as well. I was just stating that it's a safer and consistent option than trying to quick tag which makes you drop your block. Especially if you're being pressured. A lot of players online only use quick tag
How do u Z vanish? (Jk)
You shouldn't give misleading info thought... Although almost everything u said is mostly correct, you shouldn't encourage ppl to hold L1 for ages and pray they get a tag out. Because if someone pressures u really hard you will have to stay blocking for as long has 7 or more seconds and errors fromnur part will occur for sure... I'm sure you gonna get hit after blocking for thatblong, plus specials stil do cheap damage... The safestway is definitely after you block, press forward Assisit. Itbwill sacrifice 1bar but thats the price you will have to pay for getting ur self stuck in such a situation in the 1st place.
Yes u should hold assist button when u wanna switch, if you have enough space or after a special. BUT!!!! if u r in risk of losing a character, by all means you must tag out immediately and that's by press foward Assist, once u successfully block ur opponent.
Everyone does this on the tournaments all the time.
(is not by a chance that one of the best Sheron's wish is reviving a dead ally)
If you r afraid of missing the timming to input forward... Well time to "git gud" and improve ur muscle memory in practice mode.
+Marlon Alucard I said in the video that it's a better alternative to tagging rather than using quick tag which gets players killed easily. I didn't mention guard cancel because it's already introduced to us in the tutorial.
I even said in the video that none of these are 100 percent full proof and a good player will be able to punish these tactics if you're too predictable and you should mix things up. I'm not encouraging players to do this over and over lol I'm just saying it's a better way to tag than trying to use quick tag because it requires you to walk forward slightly letting go of block.
And even guard cancels are not the best option. If an opponent is in the middle of a string the active frames of some normals can interrupt the dash in of the other character and basically get a free combo on them.
There are many options in this game, each one is viable for different situations and of course it depends on who you're playing. It's up to my viewers who learn things from this video to realize what is a good situation to use these tips.
Hate my friend he's cell cornor loop is 60 + plus dmg and all he's combos
Ace Boogie lol not going to lie I got to the point where I was like if you can't beat em play em better. And I got a pocket cell now
He's so op on he's combos but it true like u sed max dmg combo starters but if I'm not in the cornor he'll jump over my head start pressure and call and assist from the other side he using tatsuno combos and cornor loops
Ace Boogie cell is definitely top tier but he isn't unbeatable. Still some things I gotta figure out myself. I need to utilize my teams abilities more
I've clocked he's video it's an over head into crouching light the a medium for he's starter. So that's a standing block follow by a crouch to start I need to but a deflect in.
Ace Boogie hey surprise his was with that shit!
It’s really crazy how this down heavy/uppercut is considered a punish when it’s all people spam whether their opponent dash or not, out of every person I’ve fought on rank, all they do is sit there the whole match ducking waiting until I move slightly near them to then uppercut
You can literally vanish behind an opponent and you’ll still get caught by an uppercut, you guys think R2 dashing was spamming when you can literally block it and counter with attacks or vanish it, this down heavy is terrible and all that people spam everytime, it makes the game so unfair and bland like there’s no point of even putting in dashing in the first place, I’m disappointed with the devs
If all they're doing is just ducking and waiting to down heavy try slowing down your gameplay and bait out the down heavy. Jump in towards them then back dash and if they whiff the down heavy super dash them to combo. Or grab them, just gotta play with the options
that's funny i use the same characters in the same order as u
+London Kid great minds think alike
I get like stuck in fucking combos in the air and can’t get out of it so I get absolutely demolished and can’t move and nothing the game taught me helps me escape
As long as the combo hit counter is red then that means it's a true combo and is inescapable. However if it's blue that means there was a point during the combo where if you pressed forward and either, light medium or heavy, you could've flipped out of it. It's a serious learning process I can't lie it takes some time
BltzZ ah cause like I just started and I get stuck in these combo strings and can’t do anything at all, and once I land they start immediately I barely get to attack or anything
It happens, try to do more casual matches or arcade a bit and get a better feel for strings combos and what attacks to look out for. Do that a bit and get comfortable then you should have a better time online
BltzZ I was doing some casual I encountered a lot of zoners and these crazy people who just crazed me but thanks for the advice man
If they wanna zone throw out a good ol vanish and close the gap :)
Bro your good and give good tips but you use the scrubbiest characters
LITTLEYOPEEP ___ this video was made when the game first came out a few months ago where I was using my favorite characters from the show. My team now is a bunch of jerks that have the most insane amounts of synergy and they're going to get nerfed soon lol 16, gohan, and black. What do you mean by scrubbiest tho? What's your team at the moment?
BltzZ by scrubbiest I mean highest tier I am no way trying to be a smart ass
Lol all good man hey I enjoy all the characters and have been a die hard gohan and trunks fan since I was a kid just turns out theyre really good. Goku black is much needed for my corner extensions :)
Corner pressure is fucking annoying
Caetano Martins it is but once you figure out your opponent and can turn the tables easily, it isn't that bad. All part of the learning experience
Bruh playing this game online against spammers gets me PISSED. Especially when i don't know how to escape pressure
+FallenEdgeCloud it can be super frustrating. If you're blocking and waiting for an opening to stop your opponent, one of the best things to do is throwing out a crouching light. Never a crouching medium. The startup is way higher than lights and it will get countered :(
so literally just guess... yea this game might not be for me
It's very late into the meta for this game so learning right now will be tough. Because so many veterans are using smurf accounts to bully new players. It suckkks.
@@BltzZ yea I feel like once I get hit once I lose that character and whenever I get something going they just mash their way out and it always works. Idk what I'm doing wrong at this point
Have you gotten comfortable with mobility? Like instant air dashes etc?
@@BltzZ I don't feel like I have
they need to nerf cooldown of team assist
+Ryan Kharisma it's going to be interesting to see what kind of balance changes they decide to go with in this game. I think the hit scaling towards stun time isn't enough IMO. But that's what practice is for
As much as I do like this game. I can't count how many times people just mindlessly charging in & you throw out a heavy and d heavy and somehow they will still able to block the string. Then they continue to mash lights over and over. The servers in this game need some work. If they don't improve the online then I'll just stop playing. Hopefully they touch it up soon.
oXFiercePlayXo It can use a lot of work as far as connectivity goes but what do you mean they are able to block after you down heavy? Are you blocking the super dash then executing the down heavy?
BltzZ hitting d heavy while they super dash in then I get hit. While they mash light attacks. I can see if I blocked a super dash then d heavy that would make sense for them to start up their pressure cause it would be their turn. Could be an online issue so who knows.
Maybe you're doing it too early? I have that issue as well where I know they're going to super dash or do an aerial attack but I pressed it way too early and it gets beaten.
1k aw shit
I just did a ranked match and the guy only cornered and spammed, I lost and I was so fucking anrgy, but then I watched this and now I know a little more so thanks.
I'm glad I helped you find de wai! Lol all jokes aside thats awesome man just practice those different defensive options in your toolkit and take each match slowly. Eventually you'll blow up even the best players if your defensive is uncrackable.
BltzZ Oof, even though this meme is dead.
THANK YOU MY BRUDDA!!!!
All good man! Hey stick around the channel I got a new series of videos coming out that I'm working on as we speak!
BltzZ I can't wait to see what it is.
Don't forget to watch out for shimmy junkies and crossup abusers... They're the most annoying next to constant jumpers
+Mr Oblige my biggest annoyance are android 18 players who stand full screen and won't approach you until you get mid screen and they call in 17. It's not an unbeatable matchup it's just a really slow and boring fight lol
BltzZ lol I haven't played online and don't intend to. Sf5 ruined online play. Ppl know that have shitty tactics and mask it by saying shit like, "if it's in the hand it's fair, find a way around it, or the MOST annoying" gg".
So you can't counter or teleport while somebody's hitting you? This is a bullshit DB game.
Good luck blocking corner pressure when they have #16 on their team.
+LelouchX8 I added him to my team lol. Fun fact, his assist aka quarter circle back ki blast, is plus on block. His crouching light light I believe is a frame trap. Not too sure I have to test it more. He is an ass to deal with but hey he's not unbeatable
Hate these type of players
People spam the same combo. It’s fucking ridiculous especially when they suck and smash buttons all over they place. They could be on the other side of the map and still pressing combos
Well if they are hitting buttons and are full screen away they're prolly xenoverse 2 players lol jk! Always remember if someone is using the same combo string on you, watch the pattern, adapt, then proceed to punish. I've have lots of matches where opponents have amazing offense and crazy assist combos. But I still won because I have the fundamentals down pact. Always hit confirm your bnbs and do safe block strings
BltzZ thank you for the advice though! I honestly had to look this up because I’ve been facing way too many people like this and they all use Gohan or Vegeta which are so difficult to read. I had my loses really low and now they’ve increased and I’m not liking that lol.
Ryuk551 no worries! I had a lot of losses that I could've easily won but my anxious tendencies kicked it. You really have to know when to hit a button or not. And how to block against certain opponents, like A gohan you always should block low no matter what lol. Hit, you should always block high against, his low and overhead options are extremely slow and reactable
