This was literally me, I did the tutorials and some combo training and when I hit my opponent few times who has like 700+ ranked wins I thought I can do this only to get assblasted by unlimited combo chains which then made me go play Jump Force 🤣🤣🤣

    • @jonathanwashington3399
      @jonathanwashington3399 4 роки тому +27

Same smh the same exact thing happened to me. Not only that, I was blocking the entire combo set yet some way either because of network connection (Xbox one) or the lag. I automatically was hit although I holding the block button, I even dodged the overhead and the leg sweep. Yet that one hit turned into a endless combo. Like yeah I had to go play tekken 7 after that, because I was won against the person already. Yet when we did the rematch I was getting obliterated without even taking out one of their characters.

Hearing your button taps is wonderful. I can hear how clean your execution is, and its helpful for combo timing. You're so precise, its almost musical. Ignore everyone telling you its annoying or to change a thing. Its good to hear how deliberate your combos are. Audio cues are just as important as muscle memory. People take their ears for granted.

Another notice for any people who do make these mistakes, is to practice each of these corrections one at a time. Clogging your mind with everything at once will slow your gameplay down and make you play worse. If you're bad at using your assists, and you always forget to dragon rush, just use one first, and once that becomes natural the other will also follow.

GreenTeaCake good advice! I like to make List in my head with things I need to improve on and think about what skills may rely on each other. Then I set myself ingame goals like "Punish super dash" and maybe another thing like "block low by default and try to look for overheads". When I manage to 2H one or more super dashes and notice or even block an overhead I consider that game a win for myself, even if I loose it eventually.

A thorough video, all in all! One thing I would add to the sparking section is how it can be utilized to continue your combo. Do some sort of combo and before the heavy lands, sparkling blast 'em and they'll be put in a bounce frame allowing you to follow up with a few more hits or even a super/ult! Enjoy your endless training Z-Fighters!

I'm one of those new guys to fighting games like you were talking about and your tips are freally helpful. I just hope I can have the muscle memory to pull of the tips you gave. I find when the game gets hecktic and I'm on the wrong side of a beat down I lose all sense of what I should be doing. I tend to forget just what the combos are and I end up resorting to button mashing in the hopes of regaining some control before the match snowballs into a loss.

Hey, great videos man! Still waiting until you examine mid and high level metas and predicting block strings and when 50/50s are important to detect in corner pressure and calling out techs and how to find competency in advanced stages. Your approach and voicing is great! Since I can't play much currently as a competitor I'm just trying to dig deeper with my viewing ;)

  • @rspampinato

Your points are spot on. I've been playing through story mode on hard lately (currently half way through arc 3) and it has taught me all the things you have mentioned. Managing your blue life and you opponent, maximising the use of sparking, carefully spending your meter and blocking. With the limited character and HP difference you face in haard mode, without these you won't be able to beat it. if your at this level I strongly recommend playing through the campaign on hard.

Your videos are so helpful.. I picked up the game a few months back and tbh played online once and got murked with out even getting in any hits.. I watched some vids did a bunch of regular and combo practice. In between there i was constantly playing arcade in normal.. now I can get S through most of the normal matches along with actually having lots of fun playing the hard courses.. I'm still learning alot I still don't even have the full confidence to go play online.. so far my best team I play with is starter is Gohan teen , then Goku GT and Gotenks. I feel playing with all the small FighterZ makes it a little harder for the opponent to land hits plus they move way faster. Thanks for your videos please keep them coming.. someone should be smart and start charging for online practice training.. lol I mean ppl pay money to just watch ppl play on twitch why not pay to actually learn how to fight like a badass..

Excellent video explaining the mechanics and giving good instruction. The buttons on screen definitely help visually represent what you are talking about and these seem like very great tips.
I really wish I enjoyed fighting games. The animations are beautiful, the models are top notch, there was so much time, effort and love put into the mechanics to make them enjoyable for people who really sink their teeth into these kinds of games. I wish I had the interest to get better and play smarter so I could enjoy them more. I just don't have that competitive nature in me when it comes to fighters, unfortunately for me.

Peoples like myself have been playing fighting games for decades now. Trust me learn some patience, as the old saying goes; "Rome Wasn't built In A Day" it takes ages to level up if you're being serious. Don't expect 1 month to make you suddenly an "elite tournament level" player.
Learn from failures and keep on improving. Have somebody like a; friend help you develop by being your partner Vs opponent whenever you play on console. Spend many hours in training mode i.e. lab work and suss out; hitboxes, ranges of normal moves of your characters, special moves of various characters, work on various teams etc etc. Take your time man and you'll develop i'm pretty sure.
Anyways wish you all the best man, laters!

best beginner tutorial so far. all the other tutorials start with learning "bread and butter combos" and other shit like that while im not even properly using all the mechanics. this video helped so much. ehen you said dont mash buttens when getting up it blew my fucking mind even tho its the most basic stuff ever.

Another handy tip is if you use use transport when using spark.. if you hold the buttons your character wont instantly hit.. allowing you to start a combo.. it only works when sparking though. So you can get behind them and do a special or a combo without hitting them first allowing them to turn around.

Also if you want to get in without Super Dash, you can press forward and Super Dash on the ground and press down back, its akin to a mini wave dash and allows you to bait situations that might get you killed.

It would be cool, like in the future if you have a summary in the description. Cause i had to go back through the audio to reinforce these tips. They are wise. This game is very good.
