    I have watched every available ghost catfish guide I've come across over the last two years & this was extremely concise, to the point & helpful. Thank you!

      @@AquariumFishKeepers I got 6, they hide during the day but it's like a race car meet at night. Really cool, barely see but completely safe with nano fish.

    I have 40 gallons, heavily planted, and a school of 6. Tank is shared with 1 pleco, some shrimp, and snails. I keep it around 80F. I have a lot of surface plant cover as well, with a full spectrum light that automatically does day/night cycles including dusk/dawn color shifting. I have an air bubbler, but the only filtration is from the abundant plants. I do water about once a week. I have fed them live (daphnea) twice a month or so apart and they love it. Otherwise, it's your standard store bought stuff. However, I have about 6 different kinds of store bought food- blood worms, flakes, dried shrimp, granules, etc. that I rotate, so they always have something interesting to eat.
    With those conditions, my catfish spawned and I didnt even know it. I believe they/the tankmates ate most of the eggs, but I have seen tiny fry hiding in the thickest parts of the plants. Yay accidental babies! I'm absolutely delighted, as so many resources say it's so hard to get them to spawn.

    can i keep a bubble eye goldfish in a 10 gallon tank changing the water every 2 weeks

    • @AquariumFishKeepers
      @AquariumFishKeepers  Рік тому +2

      If you want to keep a bubble eye goldfish, you should provide a tank that is at least 20-30 gallons in size and perform regular partial water changes of at least 25% each week. You should also make sure the tank has adequate filtration and oxygenation to keep the water clean and healthy for your fish.

      I have a telescope eye and he’s in a 29gal with a filter on full blast and 2 air stones. 10 is wayyy too small. Betta would be good for a 10 gal but they still need a filter and heater.

      Do not clean your tank, the micro biome is best for your tank, a deep substrate of mud below and then a layer of fine aquarium sand on top of 2 inches

    How fast do they grow?

  • @Lowdermoomoo
    @Lowdermoomoo 11 місяців тому +1

    Would a Betta be too aggressive? They have similar water parameters and I would love to have some ghost shrimp, glass/ghost cats, my crown tail, and maybe a military helmet snail, red/purple plants, red root floaters with black sand, and hard scape that looks like bones and have it be super spooky 😭 (this would be in a 20gal long)

      a betta would be okay, tho when buying put its cup next to a fish and see if it flares its fins

    can i put 6 in a 40 gallon blackwater tank with 10 neons and 8 corys even tho blackwater is not ideal? (hiding spots and an open space in middle for schooling will be in the aquascape)

    • @Dew-review
      @Dew-review 8 місяців тому +1

      I’d say no but just because you should have at least 5-10 gallons for every glass catfish but with a bigger tank sure!

    Can i eat it

    • @ClownfishDude31415
      @ClownfishDude31415 7 місяців тому +1

      Well, technically, you can eat anything. If you're asking if they are nutritious or commonly eaten, then no. They are much too small, reaching roughly 4 to 5 inches (10 to 13 centimeters)
