@14:20 are you asking me if I am happy that you listed the first 3 songs? Because the answer is yes :)
@@danielhoward8354😂
She were on drugs like other member.... dint get me wrong... i am also adict and i listen... this is MY first cd and i still have it 25 years ago. Such a great concert ❤❤❤
Her ability to sing well all while running around on the stage is absolutely astounding.
She is astounding.
Michael can do the same
A gorgeous woman and incredible music ... what else could you want?
@@tg5216 Being able to marry her?
Yeahhh and she doesn’t feel like getting tired.
Look at this woman hold that entire crowd in the palm of her hand.
No cellphones. Just a bunch of kids having fun. The 90s truly were a special time.
the smartphone destroyed the authentic ,
I was at this exact concert. My mom took me in 4th grade on a school night and made me go to school the next day haha. My first concert!
i remember seeing lady gaga with my mom and a few of her friends the day before my first day of 6th or 7th grade as my first real big concert and it was so exciting. nowhere near this in my opinion but lady gaga also runs around like a mad woman and sings gracefully its so impressive
what an insane first concert
Same for me but it was the tour. Grand Rapids, MI
ur the luckiest person ever i would do anything to go to this concert
I miss THIS Gwen so much...
Me Too don't care too much for her now.
Me tooo.....
Jazzy Qeturah “THIS gwen” was 28 and was on her first album, today s gwen has launched several succesful albums and she will turn 50 this year, you cant except her to be the same
@@oanairinaoprea3165 Tragic kingdom was the band's third album
vale alunacy oops true! my bad. their first truly succesful album I meant maybe
her stage presence is amazing. you'll never see anyone like it
When Paramore became huge every kid who were a fan of Haley Williams were saying ''OMG she's so unique no one else move like her on a stage!!'' and I was like ok, maybe you guys should watch some old No doubt live concerts haha
@@captjericho1372 shes like 21 mate! Quality
@@paulcook4807 she was 27/28 here actually
Agreed. I was lucky enough to see them in 97, my mother took me. I was 9, will never forget it. Legendary.
I saw them in Japan at budokon
I've loved no doubt since I was 9 or 8 me and my dad always would listen to it in the car, I'm now 12 and its still my favorite band.
She's singing full force while doing high level aerobics. This performance is an athletic marvel.
Commenting on my own comment because I'm back on this video. This performance is truly incredible. She has the whole crowd in her palm the entire time. I can't believe someone performed at this level of physicality for 90 minutes and sang like that without technical help. Heavy hitter Gwen shutting it down.
Coke helps
i would do anything to go back in time and be at this show ANYTHING
Back on early 90's, Funk/Ska music was so popular that many bands started to play it. No Doubt was one of those, and, god damn, I miss this style of songs so much.
This live performance is perfection.
The energy of this performance is MAD. Top tier pop artists of this day wish they could connect this much with their audience.
not pop. they were ska punk at first.
@@mkproductions2.042that's exactly right
I'd never call them pop. Punk/Ska! Later, they went more rock
but stayed unique.
this is the greatest thing i’ve ever seen AND heard. man i wish i was a teen in the 90s, so i could’ve been in the presence of such legends.
It was awesome...but now...I'm old so..there's that
james thurston age is just a number ma dude, it don’t mean nothin as long as you have the memories that’s all that matters
I’m so happy I was a teen in the 90s 💜💜💜
@The Anticipator so jealous!!
You have to make your own legends, man.
You know how most people can't get over Queen's Live Aid being the greatest performance of all time? This is it for me, this is the greatest rock show of all time, nothing can top this performance, no matter how many times I watch it, it's magical.
TRUE, on top of the great music and performance, everything is perfect. Their looks, the lighting, the stage, the energy. Everything seems so organic, yet well made here, feels like we don't have that too often anymore, peak 90s. Most stuff feels overpolished these days.
@@CamRebires couldnt agree more man. This is easily a top 5 performance for me.
Couldn’t have said it better myself
M.A.G.I.C.A.L 😇😍😍😍😍🥳🥳🥳😎😎😎💥💥
@@LuziferDiabolus amazing!
Y’all. I just saw Gwen perform in Redondo Beach this month. She is the freaking same. Running around and all. She was doing jumping jacks you guys!!! Same exact energy. I can’t get over it. Gabrial McNair too (keys). He played a sublime set and right after played Gwen’s set. Punk rock lives on in the veins. It doesn’t dissipate
I agree once punk always punk.
@@ajmoreira81 yup! 🤘🏼 ▪️▫️▪️▫️▪️▫️
LOL, her sweet act cracks me up! She is so funny and has charisma! I love Gwen, I can't deny it after listening to her for the past 30 years!!!! I LOVE YOU GWEN!
Me, too! I'm older than she is, she's an inspiration. We don't have to get old and give up and get lazy. She's so special. I saw an Oprah clip with Gwen. Her mom was in the audience. Must have been 2005ish. Her mother said, " She's an ordinary girl, doing extraordinary things." I don't think there is anything ordinary about her.
I can’t fucking believe they opened with Tragic Kingdom. I swear sometimes No Doubt is a metal band.
Punk/Ska/Rock, maybe metal, too. Great song!
As an 88 kid, when i turned 9 ive received two gifts from my parents, the tragic kingdom album and a ticket for MJ concert in Amsterdam, his last concert in the netherlands, looking back im still asking myself what the better gift was😅
MJ? Who? Michael Jackson?
The drummer is an ANIMAL
I first came across this performance during the pandemic while on a strong hit of mushrooms, I declared it the best live show I have ever seen which is a conclusion I still hold to to this day. One day I came to the conclusion that it’s obviously a show that would have made for video/dvd due to absolute perfection of the live mix, at 4am I typed “live at the tragic kingdom” into Facebook market place and as if the gods where in my favour, someone was selling the DVD for £5 no more than 30 miles drive from my house, I went the next day to pick it up and it is one of the best treasures I have!
omg I also came across this video when I was high and bought the CD on Amazon months later after watching it every day. its sooooo good
Did you know this was a two-night show and they mixed the best moments of the two performances into this clip? Theres a second video out there on UA-cam with a different version of DJ's and a few minor changes throughout the set. ua-cam.com/video/4hJmFCBWS0M/v-deo.html
@@elizabethmuko5496 you just blew my mind!
Greenday Australia, blink 182 big day out .. and this one
This band was the epitome of what the 90s were. And Gwen was something special. A rare gem of the 90s. So glad I got to experience this time period as it was happening. Was such a great time to be alive. We had music and live performances like this, and we had actual music videos and music related shows on MTV and VH1. Thank you No Doubt for being a big part of my mid to late 90s into the early 2000s. A reunion would be spectacular if they could all do it.
this is one of the greatest live rock shows EVER. no doubt ruled the world, and gwen was a LEGEND!
So cool to see the band and Gwen at their FULL power!
When I was in middle school, on summer vacation, my parents were always at work, so I had the house to myself. I'd put in this DVD, turn it up REAL loud, get my pretend mic, and run around my living room, jumping on the couch, pretending to be Gwen. It was pure bliss. I'm a 29 year old mom now and definitely am not in that shape anymore lol! But, man, it was pure fucking bliss. I miss those times so much.
They're all (ALL) just so ON. It's so incredible. I would give anything in the world to have been at this show. It hurts my hear tot think I missed it and will never get the chance again. Best ever.
The downside is if you are an old fogie (like me lol) and went to concerts during that era the vast majority of shows now are a big let-down. I guess I should adopt the 'don't be sad it's over; be happy that it happened' mindset, but I really do miss the 90's. Badly.
@@copyright-ur1sf I was born in 96 which means I was too late to experience this era, but just in time to get shown the music my parents were into... Music from the 90s across all genres remain my favorite... Wish I could've gone to shows like these. Sigh. Lol
This is one of the best ska concerts out there
The trumpet and trombone players were HOT, on FIRE!!!! So awesome the variety of music! No Doubt opened my eyes in so many ways back in the ... Ahem... 90s. LOL
it's 2:27 am here in China -- I decided to work out (home gym) and I flipped through my playlist... which is all KPOP. How the F*** am I supposed to get pump listening to KPOP? Outta no where this came on my playlist and gwen FIRED ME UP and I got my reps in. Thank you no Doubt, even after all these years you're still legendary.
Gwen is so animated here, but once you see the size of the venue it’s just astounding to witness her ability to play to the back row. I have no doubt ;) that they got the same amazing experience as the front row due to her raw energy & talent
I didnt really know No Doubt before i saw them open for Blink at my first concert ever (pnc bank arts center 2003) and wanted to hate them because my little sister loved them. Gwen won my 7th-grade ass over within ONE song. Me and my friends were all like “this is actually awesome” and then by the end we were melting on the floor in love with Gwen. She is so powerful.
Similar story here, went with some friends in '97(maybe), friends were legit fans because Tragic Kingdom was raging at that time, didn't really like it because it was mainstream (too cool for school, right?), BUT The Vandals were opening... Basically I was going there to see The Vandals and then laugh at the "amphitheater of posers"... Maaan I was wrong, but soooo freakin' wrong... and that was perfect like that!! :P
I miss this era so much. This is the first kind of music I fell in love with.
Who’s here 2024 after Coachella?
I'm here 24 years before Coachella
F Coachella
Who’s here after the Coachella sets
Adrian Young never gets enough love. Incredibly accurate drummer
I'm sure he's banged several groupies
My favorite drummer
Nobody has a voice like that ! so intoxicating ! such an amazing star ! nothing but love for her !
Hollywood devours so much true talent and spirit .
I’ve seen shows with crazy energy but this is a different type - this is circus energy, I fuck with it
Anyone who complains about no female role models, never saw Gwen.
Or P!nk
If we had you tube back then they’d know how awesome she was.
Saw them for the first time April 1996 and was immediately hooked by their stage show. Over the next eight years I saw them 10 times in seven cities. Even got to sit on stage with them when they performed on Mad TV! Now I’m old but the memories remain. Enjoy your youth.
Your so lucky!!
My big sister and I got this concert on VHS back in the day. We watched it for weeks. It literally inspired me everytime I watched it. Here I am how many years later still loving every minute of it.
✌💛💛🇨🇦
What a show. Incredible
Adrian is playing like an absolute beast here.
my girl.. way ahead of EVERYONE'S time!
A masterclass in showmanship
the best description
directing/production is also very good, almost look and sound like a movie, which was the point probably
It’s so rare to find a performer as engaging as Gwen, and even more so a vocalist who can change up a song live. So many just try to sing exactly like the album without any improvisation. Unsurprising since live shows were always No Doubt’s bread&butter, but I always love it. All members were absolutely phenomenal in this show.
I’ve been a No Doubt fan for 29 years, and I’m 29 😹
so much 90s aesthetic on one stage, it's unreal. I guess the way old timers talked about the 60s is how i feel about the 90s now...
No Doubt in full glory here.
Man, she was amazing!!! Still is but those early days were something else.
In my opinion nothing is or will ever be as sexy as the young Gwen stefani
@@jebadiahfyefye8994 yup. Absolutely fucking gorgeous 😍😍😍
Don’t be mad that Gwen is in her 50s and has changed. We all change and it’s normal. She’s living her best life and still making music. We can’t expect people to not grow and change. If I had her money I’d get plastic surgery too and still look amazing at 50 something. No Doubt is one of the best rock bands of all time. This era still goes so hard and I’m glad I can still enjoy it in 2024!
Saturday felt like they never left. Incredible
I’ve watched this concert over and over again! I’m not sure what’s more amazing, Gwen in her younger years or the fact that she’s over 50 and still killing it!
Gwen’s cardio game was on point! What a fox. 😊
Yep they crushed this ! Gwen’s stage presence was off the chart !
I was born too late to experience this greatness
ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC FEMALE OF THE 90S......MS STEFANY
one if not the best album of all time...love every single song on this album
My goodness what a performance!
I saw this concert at the Rose Garden in Portland when I was in high school. It was amazing! And WEEZER OPENED!!!
I wish im a teenager that time 😭
2020 anyone
Tragic Kingdom is my favorite 90s album.
I was in the front row of this show. Damn I am old.
Lucky Duck! I was a baby during the 90s. I wish I was a teen during that era. All my favorite music.
Ow, man. I've know and liked No Doubt for a long time, growing up in the 90's and all, but I must say I, up untill just now, had no idea of the way they own their stage. So much energy from such a hyper-, hypertight band and on top of that unique grade A sound from Gwen Stefanie - just mindblowing! And then, her crazy and sincere stage presence and antics, between her and the bassplayer especially. Her attitude is so perfectly fitting. I'm watching this, all be it far to late, it is 2019 already, and I feel like i am right there with this awesome audience going out of my mind without a care in the world. As I'm writing this the last tones of obladi-oblada are dying away. That then, would be my only footnote. I didn't want them to stop playing just yet. I'll just hit refresh, I guess. I Love This Music!
Echoes my sentiments exactly.
2024
No matter WHO CALLS😢
I was 13 and sombody gave me a casette with this concert...he recorded it LIVE wtf..... it was amazing and now i see it for the first time on yt
Every self respecting No Doubt fan knows The Climb is the best song on this album.
It's a little overwrought, but it's fun. Its a damn sight better than 'You Can Do It' lol I think there's a reason they never do that one live.
Nah, the title cut is better than all of the other songs put together!!! 😁But everyone is different and likes different things! 🤗
Sunday morning all day 😊
How could this band be anything except huge
What an extremely tight and above average talented group of musicians No Doubt is! Oh Lord.....And what a MASSIVE vocal performer Gwen Stefani is!!!! I mean COME ON?!?! Possibly the quaintest, weirdest and most exentric 5" package out there, but her connection with the crowd is just amazing! And she is an ezeptional singer. Her voice is in my oppinion right up there with the best. AND...she seems to sing on both inhale AND exhale all the while running and jumping around on that (To the little firecracker at least) huge stage for an hour and a half! 🥵 Simply IMPRESSIVE 🖐🤩👍 And the Tragic Kingdom album is a real masterpiece, too. One of the best albums from the 90's, if you ask me. Jam packed with Stefanis charming attitude and some pretty big hits with their very own a playful take on reggea, ska and punk...Kindalike Miss Stefani, I guess 🙄 Too bad tiny Gwen and the band's skilled bassplayer Tony Kanal weren't able to keep working together after their break-up... But hey, all credit to them both for first recording the album and then stick it out on a world tour that lasted for what,,,?... TWO AND A hALF YEARS??? Talk about stamina and dedication to their own lives/their massively successful album project/their profession and last but not least their loyal fans and followers!!! Bravo No Doubt, well played 👋 A great band, a fantastic album and one truly enjoyable concert movie! I am officially a FAN 🥸 Respect
My first punk rock queen.
This live show has been by far one of my favorites, so many bands included. A big thank you for uploading this gem on UA-cam 💚
That Sunday Morning performance always gets me hyped!!!
If I could only numerate how many times I watched this VHS in high school late at night when I couldn't sleep...This was the first big concert I went to (May 1997, Worcester MA) and it was fucking magical
Gen X deserves more credit for the music they introduced to the world, coming from a late millennial
Yes!
I love this take
yeah! i was born in the '93, late millenial too. This band was my fave when I was 10
As elder Gen Y aka Milliennial ditto for me! I seem like a Gen X-er though
i can second this as a gen z 😭
I've been on a nostalgic trip for a few days now 93 through 98 was the best of my childhood 😢😊
man I wasn't even born when THIS happened, but man, I love the chaotic energy, like they're jumping and running around and they still play so well, I'm grateful that nowadays I can watch this everyday on youtube
I wish I was old enough to have lived through this
A true artist who knows how to entertain and perform. I fell in love with her as a teenager and now as a grown man I think I have fallen in love again
Gwen has such an amazing voice!
Olivia and avril could never. She got everyone doing a mosh pit
My older sister took me to my first show ever. Tragic kingdom tour at Star lake amphitheater in Pittsburgh PA. It was incredible. I’ll never forget Gwen and those guys. I honestly think this album is incredibly underrated. As far as no doubt she left them too soon to say they were an all time great band(yet they still belong In The rock n roll hall of fame) but this album is so great.
I would give anything to go back to that concert today.
😮
My first concert when I was a kid! Not this exact one but a couple weeks later In VA Beach with Weezer. Killer show I'll never forget.
What an astonishing performance. They did it all for their art. Gwen, do you realize you had the world in the palm of your hand?
She knew. Was she aware that it couldn't last forever is the question? Her (Their) performance here is some the greatest art ever captured, it like rivals the Mona Lisa.
Today ND is back at Coachella 2024!
Love the Sublime cover. Miss the Tragic Kindom No Doubt.
Tony is such a heart throb 😍
Best album of all time.
Make No Doubt great again.
All that energy !!!!!
57:40 is One of my favorite parts vocally!!!
the guitar in don’t speak is incredible
Idk if it is just me but when she sings don't speak and the crowd starts singing the loosing my best friend part just gives me chills like that was so powerful it just goes to show how music can affect people on such a deep level. The songs are so honest and raw it's the most amazing thing I've ever seen
I'm in indonesia in 97 just could see gwen and no doubt on MTV...but the memory is still strong until now 😁😁😁this band was awesome..especially .the ska song 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jesus, this is SO GOOD!!!
She is the best
Back when Gwen was fun. Saw them twice on this tour, Chicago and Indianapolis. Back when music was fun in the 90s
she's still fun. She just grew up and became a mother.
I think that almost every song on this setlist is a banger, I think that it is the best all around album ever!
Perfect Concert! I just love this. Watching for the first time, August 2019...
Same. They still sound like this. But look at them go!! In sync, in tone, running around the stage. Those recording didnt do them justice. Those vocals!!
November ‘21 for me I didn’t realize there was this side of Gwen
Saw No Doubt for the first time in April of 1996 at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island NY, I was a freshman in high school, bought the album a year before and at first hated it, that album lasted me throughout my whole high school years! I became a fan and turned out to be one of the best albums from track to track for me. Front row at that concert me 14 yrs old having Gwen jump All around me on stage! Awesome memories!
So don't tell my wife, but I may have fell in love with Gwen on this concert series. She OWNs this performance. Ive seen everyone and this is easily one of the best performances Ive ever seen!!!! I idolize old school punk Gwen!! AMAZING SET!!!!!
I saw Pearl Jam in 98, bush in 97... damn I wish I saw THIS live! I don’t think I’ve felt this nostalgic and inspired in a long time, she’s a perfect creation for this time, 90s not the same without NoDoubt 👸🙌
i always come by to watch this yearlyyyy. it's SO good. I love gwen stefani
Stephen and Gabriel. Ska champs!
