OMG I love this game! I haven't played it in probably over a decade, and I've never actually met someone else who's played it, but this is the game responsible for me taking interest in learning the english language when I was around 8 years old and it means so much to me! Thanks for the awesome run!!
I was completely floored when I saw this game on the schedule. I didn't get to see it live, unfortunately, but very cool to see this run now. I knew the game was broken as hell, I'm VERY acquainted with just how buggy it can be, but seeing it beaten in just over 40 minutes is a wild experience.
I always look out for the Jaxler runs on SGDQ. He always picks the most broken and unconventional games with some of the most ridiculous gliches which he always seems to get first try, lol. And he explains it in such an entertaining way. The Pumpkin Jack run is still one of my favorites of all time.
After Hobbit blew up for speed running, I was waiting for this to gain steam. They both even suffer from that issue where speeding through item chest dialog sometimes freezes you there. Mind you, Hobbit isn't known for bosses leaping into OOB and softlocking you at random lol, but it wouldn't be neopets without strange coding errors.
As someone who only vaugley remembers playing this game as a child, seeing this dude 1st try some of these skips is so impressive and well done that If those were super easy and they just said it was hard I would believe them either way.
This was such a cool run to catch live! Jaxler and the commentary crew did a great job talking through the game and explaining in a way someone who's never seen this game could understand. Really entertaining stuff and great job everyone involved!
Omg this was my first video game and still remains a beloved classic to me..... its buggy speed game potential did not even occur to me untill now. I cannot wait to see it ripped to SHREDS
If your ps2 loads fine and the disc isn't scratched it IS really fun for when it came out. It's best once you figure out that mashing doesn't work and you want to time it for the three-slash, mind, but it's not THAT bad. (Source: 4 years of playing this and honestly I liked it better than Wind Waker. Mind, I was in the actual demographic of Neopets users and NeoQuest 1&2 players.)

Jaxler 🤩🤩
I used to spend hours playing Cheat and Gormball. Those were some good times.
So happy to finally see TDF run at gdq felt like for years the run wouldn't get below 5 hrs
So glad this game got run. I was a huge Neopets kid and being so mad because this game wasn't on GameCube.

YOOOOOOO!!! This game never gets covered!!!
Darkest Faerie was probably wetting her knickers at the thought of a Lupe defying the laws of physics.

What a cozy speedrun~ Awesome run and commentary from Jaxler and the couch!
My fiance and I watched this together and she kept exclaiming about how she did some of these tricks when she was just messing around at 9 years old.

It most certainly is not an underrated gem.
