Valstrax is my all time favourite elder dragon, its got a badass design, an amazing theme and i love how it uses its speed and manipulation of dragon element to dominate its enemies. its always felt particularly legendary compared to other elders and I love how it blurs the line between main series and frontier monsters.
Biomimicry: to copy a trait found in nature for technology and design. Valstrax and Bazelgeuse are good examples of this except reverse. They are designs based from our world's military aircrafts, but in the MH universe they would most likely be the inspiration for future aircrafts. Only example I can think of is Yama Tsukami most likely being the inspiration for the MH airships/blimps. A giant gas bag full of hot air being able to fly in the clouds. With MH Wilds coming next year it makes me interested on what other war machines or vehicle crafts they might use for inspirations for the next monster design. Even with that new thunder wyvern we can see in the trailer that it folds it horns to shoot lightning like a rail gun or how those tall termite mounds act as lightning rods. I wouldn't be surprised if a monster design comes where the head is based off a battering ram for close range attacks and it's tail is based off a catapult to throw objects for long range attacks.
Everything about valstrax is cool its name its element is definitely the coolest out of the 5 its wings are the coolest thing I’ve ever seen and their name being lancewings is also cool the stegosaurus style back spikes look cool too
I would love to see an ice Valstrax. If instability and damage to the dragon energy organ causes them to go insane due to too much dragon energy then the ice element could make them much more calm and deliberate as well as servings as a form of internal cooling. Instead of going insane they become smarter and wiser.
That ambush, man I got my fingers crossed for it to actually be a threat in wilds, while I love having it be my homie and all in risebreak it’ll be a great experience to actually fear a random ambush
Today is the first day I saw this elder dragon, and the first time fight it, I'm still kinda new to the MH fandom, and my first tought while fighting him (besides how cool it is) is that it isn't of this world, is like...I don't know, kinda alien, even for MH standars

Yeah same i love the frontier monsters and more of them need to come over
I need my favorite monster to be in Stories 3 it was a shame Valstrax wasnt in Stories 2
yeah hopefully they add valstrax in stories 3, imagine being able to fly around on it lol
Imagine a dogfight between Valstrax and Shantien the red and blue lights tearing across the sky
Still the coolest thing ever! I hope & pray Valstax is a permanent member to the "in every game since" club!
Same me too especially in wilds!

Best Elder Dragon ever. Amazing design, cool theme. And the fight is also great!
Has anyone noticed that the largest stego spikes glow in rise when he is risen?makes me think that valstrax is evolving a second pair of wings
Could be!
Thanks for watching! What do you like most about Valstrax?
It is fast, real fast…
*Sonic X Song/Gotta Go Fast Plays*
