I used to fish the spillway in Algodones because I liked how deep it was there, but now the San Felipe Pueblo has control of it and closed it off to the public. I was curious if you know any places on the river near ABQ that I can try to fish and are deep water?
Just moved to the area from the southeast and your videos are giving me hope that I can find some bass! The current is so strong now though! Are y’all having any luck with the water like it is now?
Hey thanks for watching I really appreciate it! I haven’t fished the river in a while usually when it’s real high with fast moving current it’s hard to get bites. There are however clear ditches with bass carp and even trout in some areas. Tight lines friend. 👍🏼
It is generally poor etiquette to spot burn. The best spots are the ones you find with a little work anyway! Look at the NMDGF interactive fishing waters map for access spots, Google Earth or maps images, and good old legwork and you will find some spots! Good luck!
It's sad to see striped bass being caught out of the Rio Grande River these voracious eaters can and usually do kill a Waterway cochiti lake is a perfect example of that

What is your favorite bait to use in the winter for bass? 🤔
I like To Jig A Blade Bait on the bottom. 🤙🤙
@@matruthn.m.bassin the blade bait always gets overlooked but it’s a great bait to fish with during this time.
Awesome video
Thanks Dave! Tight lines brotha! 🔥

Where can I fish this
Link to this bait lure. I'm in Rio rancho but originally from south Miami, Florida. so, learning all over again.
Cabelas, Walmart sportsman’s warehouse have tons of gear including marabou jigs. 👍🏼
mmm white bass
They sure delicious but don’t know if I’d eat the ones from the river. 🤣
