I am at the end of my PhD journey now, but I must say that these questions are spot on! Really invaluable as you step into this crazy, mind-bending journey that is the PhD programme. Wished this video came out when I was starting my PhD studies!

I really dont know why im watching this since im quiting my physics phd program after 4 years ... but whatever... you are amazing, you actually "told" me that im not stupid, even though im not gonna finish it and that when i got to the phd program i had to be smart :D

Trust me you are doing much better. I feel I have fallen behind. I have not yet joined a program. Im early thirty, single guy and being an asian I'm dealing with external and internal pressure to get married. I'm sitting on the fence about PhD because I have not found the one who will accept me and I'm not accepting the few who have agreed to marry me because they don't have an idea about my job or the path of a PhD program. I'm completely stuck. You already have a baby🙂 for whom Im sure you must be very grateful and happy about!
@@nishanths1863 thank you very much for your kind words... i hope things will get better for you too... i have been to japan (for 3 months in Kochi), i know how hard is life for asian boys there, the pressure from family, friends and society, im glad im from czech republic... still... i remember, in japan, how i came dead drunk at 11pm on SATURDAY!!! to the office because my laptop died and some of my japanese student colleagues were still there studying,.. i was like .. ok... i hope im being invisible european girl :D juuuust grabing my university laptop
I am in the Last semester of my undergrad, and also got admitted to a good PhD program for the fall session (simultaneously nervously waiting for the rest of the results).
So whenever I feel like I have nothing to do, I just watch your videos and make notes and that gives me a lot of direction. Thanks.
