@Adam Lance Garcia did a monumental service to WandaVision and cast. Not exaggerating here. It's really cool when you have a platform that let's actors give their say!
I feel like it's not entirely them glossing over it, she did mention that it wasn't even done filming yet when they had started. Also, i believe in another interview for a different MCU project, someone said that they're usually given an MCU project (directors and all) to do without necessarily knowing context of either upcoming mcu movies it connects to or just what future plans are for these characters that are always going to be subject to change anyway

@@jastaykotuce2249 Like sometimes, Kevin feige doesn't tell specific project writers/directors whats going to happen to the character in the future so they cannot really do much than to write the characters arc within solely based on the information they are given, if that makes sense
Elizabeth Olsen is a brilliant actress. We can see how much she has improved over the years.

I got interested in Marvel when I saw her in the post credit scene of Captain America: Winter soldier
And also got out of her sisters shadows now she’s got her own thing and which is cool they support her.
She has just got nominated for a Golden Globe for her brilliant performance in Love & Death. What an actress!

@Relugus That would be incredible! Patti LuPone confirmed that she is playing Lilia Calderu, and the coven of witches includes Aubrey Plaza. I still can't believe Aubrey Plaza and Patti LuPone are playing witches in a show centered around Kathryn Hahn's Agatha. This is a dream come true!

Take into account that it was HER story with flaws/mistakes she made when she finally had the life she wanted, she didn’t ask for the hex, she subconsciously created it and went along with it. I love how the Multiverse of Madness section confirms that Marvel is nowhere near as consistent and carefully planned as Kevin Feige would like us to think.
The fact that Wandavision was so incredible really made Multiverse of Madness such a let down.

@@madnessarcade7447It was fun to see Wanda let loose, but I hope they continue with WandaVision's growth next time we see her. Unfortunately a lot of MoM actions can be attributed to the Darkhold... Wanda in WV was basically her resent and grief overpowering her, so it was more interesting.
It also proves that he's tackling too much characters nowadays.

The way she talks about her sisters in the very first clip brought tears to my eyes you can see how much she look up to them as an actress and as their baby sister and truly loves them !!

Thank you for being honest for the lack of cohesive writing for Multiverse of Madness. In WandaVision Wanda was at peace with the loss of her “children” and Vision. Only for them to bring that same storyline back in MOM.
Ikr they really messed up all that great Wanda development in WandaVision, tbh it feels like a totally different character in MOM... it was jarring seeing the disconnect
Marvel lost a lot of goodwill with that massive screw up

i don't think she was at peace with the death of her children, i'm not a parent but like if a loving parent really loves their children, then they won't get over their deaths easily. she definitely was at peace with vision, but not with her children yet. i do wish they could've made the storyline better though.

@Adam Lance Garcia fair enough because the movie was so immersive and understated and any highlights might've overly revealed story. Even quiet moments were intense. You'd just have procedural. Or trailer moments. It's not easy. Seen it?

"Ingrid Goes West" is so incredibly underrated, and it accurately depicts the negatives of social media in this entertaining cautionary tale. I hope more folks check out that movie.
I love Ingrid Goes West so much! It's the best film about social media ever made, in my opinion. Elizabeth Olsen and Aubrey Plaza are absolutely hilarious in the film as well.

@@lpassione Turns out they didn't cooperate that well. The director of WandaVision knew that people were so angry at how Wanda's arc was treated in Doctor Strange 2.
Glad she acknowledges the fact that in Madness it basically eliminated all the growth she had on Wandavision. When you've got multiple stories going on at the same time, being written by different people, it happens. I was still able to enjoy Madness though.

She is one of the greats. Her performance in Love & Death is definitely Emmy-worthy. She's fantastic.
The emmys messed up big time this year. Lot's of snubs and undeserved nominations. Golden Globes on the other hand nailed the nominations. Elizabeth Olsen has been nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in Love & Death. Loved the other nominations as well. Well deserved!
i became a huge Elizabeth Olsen fan after Wanda Vision and love her performance in Love & Death...she's so captivating in her roles. She's currently one of the actresses which sells a movie/series for me.
Same for me. She is insanely versatile. I am convinced at this point that she can play any kind of role and nail it.
It sounds like she saying in a very diplomatic way that she's a little cheesed off that everything in Wandavision was undone in Multiverse of Madness.
It wasn't undone, in my opinion. WandaVision is my favorite show of all time, and Multiverse of Madness made that show even better for me.
@Woah I mean if they focused on how the book influenced Wanda to do these things and not her, it will make the movie better. But they didn’t at all.

@@Hash_kw that's the whole plot of MoM though, the Darkhold is discussed in the first Scarlet Witch and Dr Strange scene. The tips of her fingers are turning black just like Agathas were in Wandavision.

@Woah I don´t think they rendered all her development pointless I think the movie complemented the series well, I don´t think she found peace at the end of WV I think she just realized how many people she was hurting in the process and that´s why she stopped. But it made sense for her to find other ways to complete her dream of having a family and not feel so lonely hence the multiverse. But I do admit the movie could have been better. I love Wanda doe
i always find myself being surprised at her actual personality. she can portray such sorrow on screen, you picture her like the mysterious type, but she is actually lovely and cheerful♥️
I love how dedicated Elizabeth is to truly understanding and being each character, no matter how silly or embarrassing she thinks the scenes or the lines are

I grew up watching Full House with Mary-Kate and Ashley, and now that we’re in the Elizabeth golden era I couldn’t be happier. She’s brilliant!
Despite Lizzie not really resembling the real Candy Montgomery, she still portrays her well, and I can't wait to see how Candy changes over the course of the remaining episodes.
I sat down to watch it...planned on binge watching all of it...there was only 4 episodes 😡 lol
On this point- I actually think Jessica Biel's version, where she has the perm, was EXTREMELY distracting- like it totally became the center of focus because of how awkward and out of place it looked. I don't think you need to look exactly like a character to convey the essence/deliver a storyline.

Watching WandaVision and then watch Multiverse of Madness, as a MCU fan since the beginning I just can't comprehend how they can make Wanda evil all of a sudden, even with the Darkhold and her obsession to be reunited with her children. This is why I was disappointed with MoM despite the fact that it's actually not a bad movie.
Also Chthon wrote the Darkhold and he is Wanda's arch nemesis so they should have shown Wanda fighting his influence and overcoming him, as that sets up their eventual confrontation.

I love that she's struggling through empathy and understanding many of her characters. Most actors just make it sound naturally easy to accept many f*cked up things their characters did just because or justified it, especially when it's based on real life.

4:53 Even Sam Raimi himself mentioned in an interview when he was promoting the film, he said that he did not even watch the entire WandaVision series, he only saw the key moments of some episodes that he was told would impact directly into Wanda's story for Multiverse of Madness. Since he realized about that fact when they were three-quarters of the way through the script writing process.
5:20 I also think Elizabeth, should have won that Emmy for her role in Love & Death, since she deserved recognition for her performance as Candy Montgomery. What I liked about her performance on this series, was the remarkable emotions that Elizabeth brings to Candy, and how she unpacks the motivations of an infamous criminal that has baffled the public for years.
Lizzie is just a lovely person, sincere, down to Earth and humble. I love her voice and the way she can express herself, definately a celebrity worthy of fame, worked hard to get to where she currently is, and deserves every bit of the recognition she gets. Such an amazing actress, a true icon and a model to follow.

What I LOVE about marvel is that portrayed Wanda and Scarlet witch as Wanda’s alter ego.. Wanda is the nicer version and Scarlet witch is this evil being trying to get what she wants, even though they both play out in ever roll of her, yet we still haven’t seen the last of both, I do think Scarlet witch will be back, truely amazing ❤

Aubrey Plaza is really special. In high school she would go to different sporting events dressed as a made-up mascot for her school. Biggest track meet in Northern Delaware (Counties), some girl runs out rallying the crowd. We were getting ready for our races and were happy but confused. 20 years later you find out it was Aubrey Plaza and everything makes sense.
We need a Aubrey Plaza in our life. Life would be more interesting then.

I love her so much, I need to start watching her whole discography. It's nice to hear that she doesn't get too into her roles, sounds really healthy especially in this industry where it can be really tough and grueling, in my opinion. @@BeeKee404 I loved her costume when she became the scarlet witch in Wandavision. I liked the one in Doctor strange MOM but it’s a shame we only got to see the other suit in one episode. It needs to return. The sleeveless look on it with the long gloves was great. The head piece was slightly different, I’m surprised a lot of people didn’t notice. Some people thought she wore the same suit for the show and movie.

I knew it! The people who wrote Multiverse of Madness hadn’t even seen the show. The Wanda in MoM was so different that it didn’t even seem like the same character.
